You can leisurely watch the sunset as it descends into the calm sea. Dinner at the popular restaurant, Umimachi Bar Ameri, where you can enjoy the local cuisine and music, is one of the highlights of the trip. Located to the west of Oshima, Omi is a tranquil place surrounded by mountains and the sea. It is also an ideal base for cycling and island tours. In the early morning, a stroll along the calm sea, surrounded by tranquillity and the song of birds, is a truly restorative experience. The entrance to the approach to Himezaka-jinja Shrine is right next to the inn, and the narrow slope lined with old houses from the early Showa period is also recommended for a walk.From the path through the mandarin orchard that leads up to the shrine, a beautiful view of the sea and the islands unfolds. At night, the sky is filled with stars, and in summer, the Milky Way shimmers across the night sky. Enjoy a relaxing time surrounded by the sound of records, accompanied by coffee, locally produced orange juice or wine. The charm of Ikushima's sunset is that you can enjoy a different expression every day, such as a bright red one day and a romantic pastel pink another. Why not meditate in an elegant and somewhat ephemeral space, feel the power, and spend a luxurious time? The barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere is also exceptional. Enjoy the view outside from the bathroom, and on clear nights, you can also enjoy bathing while watching the starry sky. During the day, you can relax on the fluffy sofa in the building, enjoy fishing, or hop around the island. In summer, you can also enjoy swimming at Sunset Beach. A 50 tsubo bungalow and a 130 tsubo lemon grove. Three types of bedrooms with a playful spirit on a spacious wooden deck. From the barrel sauna made in the lemon grove, you can see the beauty of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking.
