The cabin has a nice and sunny location in Vesterøy, Hvaler - summer as winter! There are many nice spots if you like fishing. If gliding across glassy water at dawn sounds like your thing, you might want to try your hand at kayaking. Out in the nature, potentially experiencing marine life - it´s beautiful! There are two kayaks ready to use if you like (season for kayaks is apr. - oct.). You may also relax and achieve a momentary bliss in the Sundance jacuzzi, which is warm and ready 24/7/365.
“My wife and I spent a week at Jon's cabin and had a great time! The cabin was very clean, and thanks to Jon's instructions, easy to find. The cabin was nice and warm upon arrival, and as others mentioned, the jacuzzi was warm & ready for use as well! A great way to start the vacation! During our first night, it snowed so we were greeted by a nice snowy landscape the next morning. It was a great experience to sit in a jacuzzi outside, in the snow with freezing temperatures, looking at the sea. The check-in & check-out was very smooth and Jon was always very fast to answer any questions we had. We also went for the coastal walk, it was well worth it as well! But also, a rather difficult walk on the rocks as they were wet/icy this time of year. In short, a very nice play to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!”
For relaxing in the beautiful nature summer or winter. Just 35 minutes outside of the capital city of Oslo. Great for hiking, cycling and cross country skiing. Extra charge for breakfast.
“The log cabin is very pretty, cozy and warm. Thove provides effective guidance on the logistics of the property (which includes a portion of her home and a well-maintained bathroom for guests). She has horses and dogs (which kids love) and even invited us into her home for my son to play with her dogs and spend some time outside the cabin at night. Unfortunately, this February, there was no snow on the property, so it would be best to rent a car for more mobility if that should be the case in future winters. Nevertheless, Thove is a great resource and told me about weather conditions and domestic travel concerns that even the train station and bus station employees chose not to do. She made the entire stay easier and even let us stay an extra night when we missed our flight. She is hospitable, communicative, available for assistance or advice on all matters travel-related in Norway and the property is approximately 40 minutes from Oslo Sentralstassjon by a bus that runs regularly and was always on time. (Thove even sent me schedules to match my daily itineraries, which was great.) She also provided maps for hiking and even brought us some groceries (we did not rent a car) and washed some of our clothes for us. I have only good things to say about her and the property (with the exception of lack of snow this year).”
Have a 70 m2, 2-bedroom flat, is newly revovated with heated floors and a fireplace all for yourself. Fantastic opportunities for outdoor life and relaxation just an hour from the heart of Oslo. Communication by bus and ferry every 30 minutes.
“A stunning home in a stunning location. We loved our stay and very much hope to go back - I'd love to see it in every season! My daughter particularly loved having a sauna and then jumping into the November fjord. Gunhild and Bjorn were warm, welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying here.”
