Holiday rentals with a kayak in Ottawa

This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

Here’s what you get: a very well stocked kitchen with Nespresso, Ninja blender, lots of pots and pans. A couple sets of dishes, full spice rack, oil, etc. Also lots of towels, plenty of paper products, and laundry supplies. It was just me so I can’t speak to the beds in the other bedrooms but the bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable (it’s also quite high so may be an issue if you’re short). Huge TV with cable and streaming services. Area is walkable and there is a playground nearby. Decor is fine - contemporary and pretty comfy. Esther is SUPER responsive and helpful. The house is in the suburbs so, while you can walk in the neighborhood, (yes, sidewalks) you can’t walk to restaurants or services. House is starting to show its age, a little, but it’s fine. I stayed 4 weeks (solo traveller) and would recommend it if you are looking for a 3 bedroom place south of Ottawa.

This house was perfect for what we needed. We love that there was a bedroom on the main floor with a full bathroom. The house looks as pictured- there are minor imperfections, but what house doesn’t have some. Maslen was very responsive to all of my questions with responses just a few minutes later. There was a storm one night during our stay and the next morning the area was nice and clear. Would recommend and stay again.

This is a custom house with a very unique layout with direct riverfront access in a private neighbourhood. 5 beds (I believe 3 kings 2 queens), two dining areas, large kitchen and a centralized living space. Games room (pool, table tennis) above the double garage with parking for multiple vehicles (easily 5) on two separate driveways. Large sauna in the basement (it gets quite hot), and a very clean (and comfortable) hot tub on the first floor facing the river. We had a group of 7 and had no issues stretching out after a ski trip. Sound insulation of the house is excellent. Heated floors available in all the bathrooms and what appears to be most of the house. Two of the bedrooms did not have window shades. Dr. Brown was very accommodating with a later checkout time, and is very easy to talk to. This is a very unique airbnb experience.

Alain's house in Chelsea was a perfect location for a week of cross-country skiing in Gatineau Park. We could walk to all the food shops and pub in Chelsea and also walk to ski trail 1c. Other ski trails are just minutes away in car. The house was super-comfortable for 5 of us to work from home for a week: good wifi and lots of comfortable spots around the house to work and relax, especially in front of the fire place. The house felt very comfortable - it is clean and well organized and we felt very much at home. We would definitely come back.

A real little piece of heaven. The cottage is nestled in a green setting a few dozen meters from an arm of the river that you can fully enjoy from the private dock. The cottage is cozy, very well equipped, the terrace allows you to relax to the sounds of nature. Pam and Isabelle are adorable hosts who are committed to making you discover the good places in the area and will do everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay. In short, the ideal place to make a relaxing stop with mother nature.

Kyle’s place is absolutely lovely. Spotless and decorated beautifully. Easy to get to, directions were perfect. Once there we felt cozy and comfortable. A great sectional and gas fireplace to read relax and chat. The hot tub was outstanding, clean and the perfect temperature. It was the perfect place to get away and rejuvenate. We popped into Arnprior for an amazing lunch (Krave) and shopping. Thank you for a wonderful time. Just what the doctor ordered.

Julie was an excellent host. We had a slight issue that was fixed by her husband the same day and fast. At the end of our stay I realized that my friend had forgotten her firewood so I took it back to her at the last minute even though it was close to checkout time so that we would have room in the van to load up without it taking up space I felt really bad for making our host wait after heck out time for us to vacate the premises. I got lost coming back and we didn’t end up leaving until half an hour post check out, But our hosts were understanding and let us do our thing to get the bags and kids loaded and wait for me to return almost half an hour after check out time. I was grateful to not have had to explain. They just calmly waited out back. Forever appreciative of this. The reason I was so late getting the firewood back to her to begin with was that of course I misplaced the van keys minutes before we were set to leave. It was in the very last bag we checked

This was our 3rd time staying at Jennifer and Tom's beautiful cottage. It is a great location for day trips to Ottawa yet secluded enough to just relax. Fantastic hosts and lots of personal touches. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage on lake Mississipi that was perfect for 4 people and our puppies. Wonderful communication and easy check in and out process. Good distance from Carleton which has access to all you need. cozy stay.

Scott was flexible and accommodating to our needs. He responded to questions and messages quickly and was proactive in providing information. This ensured we felt more at home during our stay as we weren’t scrambling to find information. This is such a peaceful property - secluded, quiet, and has views of the Quyon ferry in the distance (but not close enough to see passengers or them see you). Definitely recommend this spot for a girls get away or a family week away.

Dayna and David are INCREDIBLE hosts. They took care of every detail and looked after us when we were effectively snowed in. Their home is creative, beautiful, peaceful, spacious. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The whole neighbourhood is gorgeous and talk about lovely people! We want to come back in the summer. And the sauna! Let me tell you, in the winter, this was the sweetest treat. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience and how we were treated - like close friends. They get my highest recommendation.

A true gem by the lake. Loved our stay !

We loved it! The cottage is located in a private area on the lake, well-decorated, and has 4 levels making it very spacious. The hottub and sauna were awesome - perfect for our winter stay. We liked the couch in the downstairs living room as it was big and comfortable, and we appreciated the Roku for easy streaming. We had no issues driving to the cottage even after heavy snowfall - the private road and driveway were cleared. Walkways, stairs and decks were also cleared. Plenty of room outside for walks with a dog and other activities. We would highly recommend Siobhan’s cottage!

Pictures and words do not give this beachfront property any justice! Looking out the windows and seeing the beautiful waterfront and having a bonfire on the Sandy beach was truly a dream. We went sup boarding, kayaking and enjoyed the water for the majority of our stay. There’s a cute little bar in town within walking distance. Even though you are closer to other houses you still have your privacy. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. I can’t wait to return and recommend this cute beach front accommodation!

Spotlessly clean and fully set up and stocked with anything you could want. It's a beautiful location. I was there in late November, but could bundle up and watch the beautiful sunsets. It's a very comfortable, peaceful cottage that felt like a home away from home. It is the cleanest AirBnb I have ever stayed in. Patricia and Steve were great to communicate with. They were warm and welcoming with clear instructions and helpful suggestions. It's a quick and easy drive into Ottawa. I highly recommend this lovely spot.
