Le Moulin de la Forge: loft between woods and river

In the heart of the Périgord Limousin Regional Natural Park, 30 minutes from Limoges: at the exit of the village, past the stone bridge, the alley of old trees welcomes you in a bath of greenery. The wooded land on 6 ha is nestled in a meander of the small river, the Gorre. The mill is located along the head race; a bamboo grove softens the northern flank while to the south, the terrace of the cottage overlooks the edge of the woods. The facade mirrors the old dwelling house and the ruined barn.

We look forward to welcoming you into the characterful 'Petit Manoir' in the heart of the Perigord Vert. Our extensive gardens are the perfect place to relax, or if you wish to venture further, there are plenty of walks from the front door. The charming wing includes a master bedroom on the first floor with adjoining pigeonnier for use as study or extra bedroom, while the ground floor comprises a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, kitchen, open plan living/dining room and an exercise room.

Originally used to house the farm hand & his family in times gone bye, now tastefully renovated, it is full of old charm & character whilst giving you all the comforts you need for your holiday. Large open plan ground floor comprising of lounge, kitchen, dinning area & separate toilet. On the 1st floor there is a spacious double bedroom, a twin bedroom & a bathroom with walk-in shower, stairs lead up to the magnificent master bedroom, having tea & coffee making facilities & a vintage day bed.

Towels and bed linen provided. Open your doors on to a verandah facing east for the morning sunrise with a table and chairs for outside dining. Under the tree house there is a breakfast bar, kitchen with sink, fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery, glasses and pans. 2 hammocks strung between trees. Shaded parking

Large west-facing terrace, with garden furniture and dining table. Direct access to the large heated pool in season. Bathrobes and towels will accompany you to the spa (jacuzzi and sauna). Mountain bikes available.
