“Ben's treehouse is at once everything you're hoping it is and more. It washed over us gradually as we spent our first night, and first morning, there. The place is special! Everything you need is right at your fingertips, all the comforts of home, yet at the same time it feels like you're occupying your own little spot at the end of the earth. Ben is nearby and always willing to help out, though your privacy never feels even remotely compromised. All of the optional activities he has made available to you will doubtlessly encourage a little bit of adventure -- most people have ridden a bike or paddled a kayak before (Ben provides both) but how many of us landlubbers have dug for clams? I hadn't, anyway, and now I can say that I have. And it was a good time! Plugging those lights in on the deck as the sun goes down (most spectacular sunset you can imagine, it occurs right in front of you and reflects off of the water and the sand) and firing up the barbeque was a gorgeous, one of a kind experience. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and honestly nothing was missing! Everytime we wondered out loud if he'd thought of something, he had. I will say that going into the experience we were a bit wary of the price, and the fact that we had to spend two days minimum there. Now that we're on the other side of the experience, all I can say is that it was worth every penny and I'm so glad we had the second day to relax and take it all in.”

“We spent three nights at this absolutely beautiful cottage and enjoyed every moment! Everything is beautifully finished, complete with ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom, a large kitchen with dishwasher (a plus for our family of 5) and a deck with a large BBQ and dining area, as well as thoughtful details like mini soaps, wood for the fire pit, and a makeup removal washcloth in the ensuite. It has the coziness of a cottage, but the attention to detail you would expect in a hotel. The beaches nearby are absolutely beautiful, great for swimming, and the kids loved visiting the lighthouse! It was a pleasure staying here, we hope to be back again!”

“We just left after six idyllic days on the Brudenell River at Ben’s cottage. The photos were beautiful and we had been looking forward to our stay for a long time... but everything about this cottage exceeded our expectations. The location is stunning - swimming, fishing, biking, kayaking, and clamming right out of the back door, with a private sandy beach and friendly neighbors. I loved that we were away from some of the more heavily trafficked tourist areas. The house itself is beautifully designed and extremely well-appointed with two comfortable beds, an amazing walk-in shower as well as a bathtub, a beautiful open kitchen with all of the cooking supplies and spices you could need, and a gas grill. We loved spending mornings on the deck and in the hammock. My 12yo became an avid fisherman and went out several times, catching ten mackerel on the river. He and my husband even foraged for fresh oysters on the river! We enjoyed biking on the Confederation Trail with the two bikes provided. Ben was very responsive by email and text, with lots of local tips. In short: it was a perfect vacation. Our only regret is that we hadn’t planned more time here. We will definitely be back!”
