Monthly Rentals in Pennington Gap

The area where Pia’s retreat is is simply gorgeous. The views out the back windows are pastoral, peaceful and breathtaking. The apartment is pristine, with easy access and comfortable bed and couch. We stayed one night in order to do a wildflower hike to Kyle’s Ford Falls (insanely beautiful carpets of wildflowers right now) and to climb to Upper Elrod Falls, which is even more beautiful than the lower falls (dangerous climb though, with rope) We ate at Amis Mill Eatery, which was really tasty, and talked to the local historian and owner, Jake for a long time. Pia’s apartment has one below it, but the occupant was quiet. Do bring your own spices and oil if you cook in her gorgeous kitchen. Apartment was pristine, and we had a simply marvelous stay.

Amazing place to stay. The home is beautiful, with everything you need to be comfortable. Very nicely decorated, quiet area, loved the screened in porch. We would have stayed extra days if we had the time. Beds, linens, towels are all first rate. The host is also amazing, very responsive and accommodating to any need. This is a 5 star plus for us. We will definitely return and would highly recommended.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Maw's House! It looks just like the pictures. Amazing! I enjoyed the view out the kitchen sink and off the back deck. My husband lived and worked on that mountain when he was teenager and graduated from Lee High. He enjoyed reminiscing as he walked around the property. We both Ioved Maw's House. We would definitely stay again when we get to visit.
