“This place is truly one of a kind - the most beautiful setting - tucked away & remote, yet easy to get to. This is exactly what we were looking for (and hoping for!) and so this ticked every box. We love being outdoors and camping but I don't love being in a tent - so this place is just perfect for a rustic getaway that won't cost you an arm and a leg, but is still super comfortable and cosy. Having the campfire pit, and the indoor wood stove was perfect for our chilly October evenings and sitting out in the hammock looking out at the view really felt special. We can't recommend this place enough! Thank you Carin & Scott for sharing your magical place!”
Charming little cottage along the water; perfect for your relaxing get-away in Cape Breton. Cabin hand built by family - numerous amenities included. Laundry facilites available in main house upon guests request. Use of two bicycles free to all guest.
“This is a charming cottage, and your hosts Marion and Louis are a delightful couple. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this place to everyone. Marion adds wonderful personal touches like homemade jam! The sun coming up in the morning over the misty inlet was beautiful . If you are looking for a quiet and restful rural experience this is the place to come.”
One 3 way hook up in a quiet residential neighbourhood with an ocean view that will fit any size RV. 50 amp hook up that accommodates lower amperage with an adapter. Just 10 minutes away from the Canso Causeway, Gateway to Cape Breton Island and 17 minutes from the Port Hawkesbury Airport. This space will not work as a tenting campsite as there are no restrooms or beds available.
“You will not find a more lovely setting in all of Nova Scotia at which to park your RV. The hook-up was once used by one of Dee's family members, and we're so glad that she shared it with us, too. Not only do you enjoy a 180 degree panorama of ocean, mountains and a small lake, but the site overlooks a lovely field of wildflowers on the ocean side. Behind you are Dee's cultivated flower beds. The RV parking area is quite level. I had informed Dee of our intended arrival time and she was seated on her front porch, waiting hospitably for us. She walked across the sweeping, freshly mowed lawn to say hello, carrying a box of vegetables from her garden for our enjoyment. She worked with us to make sure we had everything necessary for our hook-up. She wanted us to know that we could knock on her door if we needed anything. We did knock each night, just to touch base, and enjoyed a nice chat with her both times. It was a pleasant surprise to discover that Dee's excellent wifi had a strong signal in our motor home. There are several interesting day trips which you can take from this location. We went to the Highland Village Museum in Iona one day. Also nearby is the pretty town of Pictou, with its Hector Heritage Quay and small shops and restaurants. Go to the lunchtime ceilidh in at the Celtic Interpretive Center in Judique. Take a walk or bike ride on the Celtic Shores Coastal Trails. In short, enjoy a stay at this lovely AirBnB and spread the word to other RV'ers, too! ”
