A small place bursting with comfort and charm! Just like the photos or even better. We loved our time in Matera, even when it rained, we were cozy and warm in our cave. We especially appreciated the excellent design and use of space. Comfy beds, and easy cleanup with the dishwasher and washing machine. WiFi works great, two of us could easily stream. Loved the espresso machine and tea kettle. Grocery shopping easy and very close by at Spesi. Our favorite spot for a meal was Il Rusticone. Believe the reviews. Really excellent hosts—responsive, considerate, thoughtful. Mirko is the best! Here’s hoping Il Sasso sotto l’albero never changes. Grazie molto!

Johanna and Emmanuele’s place is so artfully designed, right in the old Sassi with incredible views, and they themselves are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. They provided all we needed from early check in to superb meal recommendations to high speed WiFi for some online teaching and comfy outdoor chairs with chilled wine. Truly one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had.

I really enjoyed staying in Anna Maria's house. This perfectly matched my expectations for the interior, but in addition the accommodation is a stone's throw from the old city, while also being close to other services. Anna Maria is warm and easy to communicate. It also brings a lot of care that makes your stay enjoyable.
