Beautiful cabin with an excellent location overlooking Playa Callejones! There is a nice lookout area and just a short walk down to the beach. The cabin was perfect for our group and is a great spot for a relaxing break. Beatrice was great and communicated all information clearly and responded quickly to help us sort out a small issue. Would definitely visit again!

The place is lovely! The location is fantastic, right on the beach and next door to a restaurant and bar with great food. It's just outside the hustle and bustle of the town, but still close enough to easily walk by way of the beach. For me the location was ideal. The room was comfortable and cute. The host was kind and helpful. She set up a hammock on the beach for me, which made for a warm welcome. I was satisfied and would happily stay here again.

The house is so beautiful! Loved the view and the open concept that makes you feel like you are part of the nature. This was our second stay at the house and we had an amazing time. Kim & Phil are great hosts and very kind. Also their resort up on the mountain Bosque del Cabo is amazing and dinner was fabulous there! The staff was incredibly attentive and takes great care of your your family. Lorena the caretaker of the home was very responsive and kind. Thank you all for a great stay in paradise ! good for short stay and fishing

Our recent stay at the Caribbean Coconut Hotel in Playa Grande, Cahuita, Costa Rica, was nothing short of magical—and a huge part of that was thanks to Silvio! From the moment we arrived, his warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made our vacation truly special. Silvio went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed whether recommending the best local eats or simply sharing his deep knowledge of the area’s culture and wildlife. His positive energy and dedication to guest satisfaction are what set this hotel apart. The property itself is a slice of paradise—tropical, tranquil, and just steps from the stunning Playa Grande. But it’s the people who make a place memorable, and Silvio’s kindness and professionalism made us feel like family. If you’re looking for an authentic, relaxing, and joy-filled Costa Rican experience, Caribbean Coconut Hotel—and especially Silvio—will exceed all expectations. Pura vida at its finest!

What a wonderful 2 weeks in paradise! The house is perfect, beds and sofa's are comfortable, even warm water in the shower. It has all the main amenities that you need for cooking and preparing food, the appliances are excellent quality, with a proper 6 burner cooker and oven. The garden is an oasis in a very lively and busy neighbourhood, we felt very safe walking around after dark and the shops and beach are a few minutes walk away.

The people at the lodge are wonderful and made us feel very at home and welcome. Breakfast was really good too. We rented bikes from Mister Joseph and the ride to and from town took about 20 minutes because it is a bumpy unpaved rode but also has few cars and ocean views making it a pretty journey. The beach there is very dramatic with lovely sunrises. Isabelle is very active and engaged with the community and environmental projects and is a wealth of information about Cahuita. Roberto is also a gem of kindness and knows a ton about plants and animals.

If you are seeking immersion in nature and being in tune with natural cycles, this is the perfect place to slow down and just be. I loved waking up a little after 5am naturally as the light just started to break, hearing the sound of the waves and howler monkeys and cicadas. I could see the ocean from my unit, and it was nice to be able to walk along the beach or take a swim to cool off. The place looks exactly like the photos. My glamping unit was very clean and simple yet nicely decorated with plenty of shelves to put my belongings. It was so nice to have a fully equipped and pristine kitchen with plenty of space to store my food. I was delighted watching the monkeys every single day. There are many birds (hawks, scarlet maccaws). And a coati scampered right by me as I sat on my patio drinking coffee early one morning. The hosts are so nice and take very good care of the place, ensuring it remains a peaceful stay for everyone and is respectful of nature and wildlife.

Everything was great! The only downside is that it is a little far from Puerto Viejo, but you can finally see that on the map when booking, especially since you can also rent bicycles for $5 24h! All in all but everything very pleasant and straightforward!

Peaceful, serene, beautiful....just a few words to describe the setting! Amazing wildlife as well...all from your balcony or while lounging by the pool! Hospitable, friendly and helpful....a few words to describe Cory and Allison. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Highly recommend!

This place is truly special. the level of isolation in the forest is really something and hiking down to the lost pools was such fun. My kids loved the pool and the kitchen area has everything you need.

Los Pargos/Playa Negra is a remote beach, great for walking and beach combing. Sparsely populated, but very friendly surroundings and people. Take water! There is a beach-side restaurant for simple food/refreshment, but mostly it's just surfers, walkers, and folks sitting in the shade of palm trees and cooling off in the waves. There is a small grocery store and several nice places to eat along the road to the beach. A place for serenity and nature lovers, not partiers and night-life seekers. Mathieu replies quite quickly to texts and questions.

Evan’s place was more than I expected! The view of the waves is unbeatable! You can just sit on your porch and watch until the perfect surf conditions arise then walk right across the street and paddle out. It is just a short walk down the beach to Hotel Tramonto. There was a guy that brought fresh fish, shrimp and lobster right to the front door so I bought some and cooked it up for dinner. I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely stunning space. The view looks exactly like the photos. Even better if that’s possible. If I am ever back in Santa Teresa, I will be staying here again 100%. Pura Vida!

When we were first making our plans, Jan from the very beginning helped us with making sure we had a car rental, made our reservation for us to stay at the Holiday Inn for our return trip home. Told us about the money exchange. All before we even met her. This was our first time in Costa Rica. We could not have picked a better place. It is off the beaten path but close to beaches and Jaco(5 minute drive). I have to say Jan is the best of the best! She greeted us with open arms. Helped us with places to see, where to shop for groceries and much much more. If you are looking for tranquility, Greg’s gardens are beautiful and well maintained. He also keeps the pool in top condition. I loved staying in their two bedroom house! It has everything you can possibly need for comfort away from home. The private pool is such a big bonus for those hot afternoons. We will definitely be back next year! I LOVED this place!

The stay at Paula's place was really great! So good we stayed even two nights longer. Paula had some tips for exploring the area - our highlights were definitely the chocolate tour with her husband Daniel and the national park in Cahuita. The location is great, you can walk to the beach and there are some restaurants and shops nearby :)
