“We had an absolutely lovely and restful stay at the Couanac Gite. It is located about ten km from the town of Caussade, making it simple to do any shopping required or desired. The Gite is also perfectly situated to explore SouthWest France, a beautiful and varied area full of fabulous wine and fruit stops, drives, walks, and other escapes. There are intriguing medieval towns all around. There are weekly markets within minutes everyday of the week. The Gite itself is a beautiful restored building with all that you need, indoors and out. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is lots of space, light, and a charming and cheerful decor. Last, but definitely not least, are Frederic and Anne (and a variety of farm and domestic animals) to make you feel at home with friends who know when to help and when to let you enjoy the tranquility and beautiful environment. Remember you are on a small farm so the rooster crows, the peacocks make their meowing sounds, and the dogs and cat greet you and are always ready for some attention. The horses also appreciate some carrots from time to time. All this to say we had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would definitely return.”
