The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

Unsere Ferienwohnung, mit Terrasse, für zwei Personen ist idyllisch, ruhig und doch zentral gelegen, mit Blick zur Festung Königstein. Hier haben Sie einen idealen Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Erkundungstouren in die Felsenwelt des Elbsandsteingebirges mit seinen zu bezwingenden Bergen und wildromantischen Tälern. Zum Stadtkern und zu den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln S-Bahn, Bus und Schiff sind es ca. 15 Gehminuten.

Our apartment is located directly at the spa park in Bad Schandau. There are numerous restaurants, supermarkets, the Toskanatherme, the Kirnitzschtalbahn, the historic Sendig lift or, for example, the National Park Center in the immediate vicinity. Directly from the property you can hike to the Schrammsteine, the Kohlbornstein or the Rathmannsdorfer lookout tower. All other highlights of Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland can be reached quickly by car or public transport.

Our house is a 270-year-old timber-framed house that we have lovingly renovated and remodeled. As far as possible, we have preserved or restored the old wooden floorboards or wooden framework. Our garden is designed in such a way that living beings that are native there can still feel comfortable, such as salamanders, hedgehogs, fireflies, kingfishers and wild bees. Anyone who stays in the garden for a long time can observe these many rare inhabitants in our garden.

In the apartment there is a TV, a radio, a bathroom with WC as well as a shower and a mini kitchen. WIFI is available. There you can find a refridgerator, a sink, a coffee machine and a cooker. Everything to make a nice meal after a long day of hiking in Saxony Switzerland!
