Prepared cross-country trails are about 200 meters from the cabin, with access to continuous trail network towards Sjusjøen. Short distance to Sjusjøen ski center with alpine slopes provides good opportunities for alpine and snowboarding. In winter, the area is perfect for skiing with both cross country and alpine skiing. In the summer, the mountain offers great hiking and biking opportunities, swimming in Ljøsvatnet and fishing (fishing license). A perfect year-round place for active families.

Norway's largest cross-country ski network connected to Sjusjøen goes right past the cabin. Walking distance to swimming area, canoeing and fishing. 15 min drive to the alpine resort on Sjusjøen and 30 min to Lillehammer. Hygga Fjellkro 3 km away.

A great alternative to hotels with better space, in great surroundings and with Gjøvik's best views of Lake Mjøsa. There is also the option of charging an electric car on site for a fee. A large garden, two terraces, a barbecue, a fireplace, art, Persian carpets and Maihaugbekken give the house a special character. The bookshelves contain a large collection of books about Lillehammer's local history, and old pictures from the town hang on the walls. Parking for up to 3 cars.

Free firewood available. Both shower and toilet are outside. Parking space enough for 2 cars or caravan. NB: bed linen and towels not included in the price, but can be rented extra.

The cozy pedestrian street is only 100 meters away, about 350 m. to the train/bus station, and 80 m. to the parking lot (cheap 24-hour parking). It is a short distance to ALL the facilities and experiences both summer and winter: Maihaugen, Olympic Park and much more.

Feel free to visit our cozy and family-friendly holiday home. Our self-built cabin with a fantastic view of Mjøsa. Charmingly furnished, used and new in combination. In 2022, the magazine Hytteliv wrote a longer article about the cabin. A lovely place to be both summer and winter. 5 minutes walk to a nice sandy beach. Nice trails to walk in the forest. Only 15 minutes to Lillehammer, 30 minutes to Sjusjøen and 40 minutes to Hafjell. Great ski slopes locally at Brøttum.
