Holiday rentals with a fire pit in River Hamble

Another wonderful stay at this perfectly located, cosy and incredibly family friendly seaside retreat. This time the weather was better so the children could enjoy the garden as well. We will certainly be back.

We had a fantastic 10 day stay with our 1 year old and 3 year old. The house was a perfect location for exploring Bembridge and the walk to the beach each morning was glorious! The house has everything you could ever need and the garden and TV outbuilding were wonderful to relax in and enjoy the sunshine. The hosts were really helpful and proactive with support for all of us. Thanks so much - we would love to return!

Beautiful place - extremely well equipped for a family stay. Grounds are brilliant especially if you have children or dogs! Loved the wood burner ! Would recommend and would love to return.

Many thanks to Andrew for being a great host. We loved the accommodation and the location is perfect for the beach and walkable to the local shops and in a lovely area. The house is extremely well provisioned with everything you could need thought of. The pool table was great fun and the WiFi and smart TV made for nice relaxed evenings. We did not try the wood burner but the heating was so effective with clear instructions. the local beach is beautiful and clean and can be reached in about 5 mins walk. a perfect place for a mini break.

Paul's place was exactly as described, great facilities. Clear instructions and pictures for a smooth check in Great host, easily contactable. Great place to stay with a short drive for the city centre, which hosts a great selection of restaurants.

Great location for Cowes and walking to transport links. (Loved the bus service on IoW.) House was perfect for a large group with loads of bathrooms and superb amount of kitchen equipment/ glassware etc. Very clean and tidy whilst at the same time comfortable. Would go back with a big group.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Plenty of space for a group to get together. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. Close to Salisbury, but equally perfect for being in the countryside. Highly recommend the pub nearby- delicious food!

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome by our lovely hosts.. The location is fantastic with good restaurants, an incredible harbour and miles of white sandy beach within walking distance. The novelty of staying on Sandbanks added a unique interest .. we loved it 😊.. Thank you Madeleine, Michelle and Nick for your warm hospitality 😊 x

My daughter and I had a lovely stay at The Old Cooks House. It was cosy, clean and comfortable. The beds were great and we both slept well on all nights. Jackie had left a plethora of goodies for us for breakfast and snacking and she was really helpful in guiding us to places to eat out. It was a lovely break.

Incredible place to go with kids. So much outdoor space and things to do in the garden, including the cutest fairy house! Also a 5 min walking distance from an awesome family friendly pub.

A fabulous place! I stayed with my wife and two children (4 and 2) and couldn’t recommend it more. The accommodation was perfect, it’s private, quiet, clean and has everything you need. A well organised pool house, with a kitchen and clean amenities you need. The pool and hot tub was a great addition that the children loved. The house is set in a quiet residential area that was perfect for exploring Winchester and Paultons/Peppa Pig World. Stephanie and her husband were attentive, polite and communicative if we needed anything. Made the 3 nights stay very easy, enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay for our friend’s 30th birthday treat, just what we wanted. Friendly welcoming hosts, beautiful surrounding, gorgeous rooms beautifully decorated, very clean and felt right at home. Plenty of space for the four of us. We enjoyed sitting in the garden, nice walks and playing cards in front of the fire. 💛

We stayed for a long weekend in this lovely accommodation. Everything was perfect, clean, and the amenities were so lovely. The kids loved the pool which was definitely a highlight. David was around to answer questions and any questions we had were replied to very quickly when they were not on site. We had such a lovely time and will definitely be returning!

We had a wonderful stay here. The place was so clean and had everything we needed. The pool and hot tub was fantastic. The beds were so comfy (and I am super picky about this). The location was great, we had such a great stay, my daughter did not want to leave.

Becci's flat is very special as the whole place has been lovingly created to be unique. We felt that specialness straight away. The living area is lovely and sunny, with a view across to the pub car park and beyond, with visible trees. When we got there we found everything we'd need for the first 24hours self-catering, and more! It's really close to the sort of local little shop which stocks almost anything you'd want, and a supermarket. Just round the corner is the village green with picnic tables etc. If you, like us, like art ... there is a gallery under the the flat, and at the St Barbe museum in Lymington. If you really love art, then go to the fabulous (free) galleries at the Palais des Vaches. It's only open at weekends. It has grassy walks down to the river with views towards Buckler's Hard. On Sundays you can buy food. For bird lovers there is a hide at Sturt Pond nearly the lighthouse restaurant on the beach, or go to Keyhaven and follow the coastal road.

Don’t wish for this to sound negative at all but just wanted others to know that whilst it’s clear there’s no wifi (lovely!) there was also no data at all for EE or O2 phones. I absolutely get that we aren’t there to look at our phones and nor did we want to, but sometimes wanted to Google things in the area etc so best do ur research before u go and make sure friends & family know ur going totally off grid! Heavenly to be off grid but scary how reliant we have become on our phones! Lovely location, lovely place, thanks Sara x

we really enjoyed our stay at Alexia''s place. it was better in person than the photos. really lovely space to relax. the hot tub was amazing and we had everything we needed. the bed was really comfortable and nice little gifts in the kitchen left for guests for breakfast/introduction. Alexia is a very helpful host who met us on arrival and explained all we needed to know. would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.

It was our first time staying in an air bnb so was not sure what to expect but this place exceeded all expectations. Such a lovely little cabin and well kept. Extra touches like a fire pit on the decking were lovely. Thank you for such a lovely stay

The property, location and host exceeded expectations. There were 5 of us in the New Forest for a biking holiday with 4 dogs and it was the perfect base. All of the amenities were top class, it was extremely clean and we didn't want for anything. Michael was so nice to deal with and very responsive on any ask (we used all the fire pit wood as it was so nice out) and this was replenished immediately. The dogs had an incredible free range of the extensive grounds and literally lived their best life, as indeed we humans did too. Very private and secure with great wifi and TV too. We will definitely be re-booking this for next year. Couldn't ask for more and the location to the forest and Highcliff beach is perfect for all days out. Thanks Michael for a beautiful place to stay.

The Potager was perfect for our long weekend stay. Situated in a beautiful location and very peaceful. Ideal place to stay for those who like the outdoors with plenty of walking/running/cycling routes starting right outside the door. The accommodation was spotlessly clean throughout and tastefully furnished and decorated. All the amenities we needed for a weekend stay were available and in good order. Katie was welcoming and friendly throughout the weekend and gave many recommendations on places to visit or where to eat. Very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to return to the Potager (or the Coop) at some point soon.

Another lovely stay at the cabin - we’ve stayed 3 times now. Janie and Paul always make us feel very welcome and were great at sorting out a little problem that we had during our stay, with very quick communication/response time. Will absolutely be back again for another stay.

We had the most amazing stay at the cabin! The location is absolutely stunning — tucked away on a peaceful farm, completely secluded and surrounded by nature. The cabin is super cosy and really well thought out, with loads of lovely touches like marshmallows for the fire, and plenty of logs and firelighters provided. There’s no indoor shower, but the outdoor bath more than makes up for it — the water gets really warm and it's such a relaxing experience. The area is perfect for walking and trail running, with beautiful routes right from the doorstep. There's also a great little pub about 20 minutes away on foot. Edd was a fantastic host — communication was spot on, and his instructions were clear and detailed. We absolutely loved our stay, would 100% come back, and have already recommended it to friends and family!

This is a fantastic little find for the New Forest. The studio itself has character, charm, and everything you could need for a short or longer term stay. Easy to find everything, and most of all, a lovely cosy comfy bed. Alison was a warm and welcoming host, who provided a list of recommended restaurants in the area. Responsive to messages, couldn't have asked for better. If I'm ever heading back to the New Forest area, I'll definitely be looking up this property first!
