Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Rutland County

The very best of Vermont!!! It would be impossible to design a more perfect Vermont village experience. Every inch of this home is gorgeous. It is packed full of character and charm. It is comfortable, welcoming, and simply delightful. We had a lovely time here. The space is wonderful, the location is perfect, and the hosts communicated well and were proactively helpful in making sure we had a perfect visit. I wish I could give this place a thousand stars!

I really enjoyed my time at Dan’s place. I adhered to his instructions to download the driving directions so I had no problem finding the place upon losing service. The home was cozy and comfortable. Dan was an excellent host as he allowed an early check in and he described the place very well.

Our stay at John's place was wonderful. He was communicative about arrival and departure expectations, and we were able to get in easily with the keycode. We used the kitchen to prepare dinner on Friday night and had no trouble with any of the tools or equipment. The hot tub was a standout, it was clean and ready to go when we arrived and we spent both of our evenings catching up in the peaceful night air. Seven adults slept comfortably in the space, with two in each of the bedrooms, two on the balcony twins, and one in the basement. A great little cabin for a weekend getaway with friends; we'd definitely recommend it for future guests.

I couldn't recommend this place more! My cousins and I had a great time and Uli is super attentive. The hot tub has a great view of the lake, it was also salt water which I love. The space was extremely cozy and exactly what we needed. We snowboarded pico and killington and it was about a 25-30 minute ride. We will for sure be back! Thank you guys so much!

This house is awesome. Kitchen and bathrooms are amazing. Beds are extremely comfortable. And the back deck with the hot tub and fire place is perfect for post ski relaxation. Sarah is extremely friendly and responsive. She answered all of my questions instantly. The kitchen has pretty much everything you could need, except spices. Way more than most AirBnb rentals. The knives and cook wear were quality as well. Lots of attention to detail. 100% would recommend and will be staying here again next season when I ski Okemo.

My family of 8 (2 parents & 6 adult children) REALLY enjoyed staying at The Cow Barn Lodge! This home really is a great home away from home!! Donna & Jack greeted us & gave our family a great tour so that we knew where everything was & how to work & find all of the fantastic games and all the space had to offer us. The Cow Barn is huge, clean and well taken care of by Donna & Jack. Donna gave us great recommendations for a places to eat (Roots for dinner in Rutland was delicious & Sugar & Spice was a fantastic breakfast spot on our way to ski at Killington). We loved the location to easily get to ski all the local mountains & also do some great winter hiking at Mt. Ascutney. Since we have adult children, they really enjoyed their private spaces & the game room to play all together (we are a competitive family who loves to play pool and ping pong, but the barn had way more to offer!). As others have said as well, our 1st stay in a barn as a family was awesome!! Can't wait to return!

This is our third (or fourth?) year staying here and they keep adding little things to make it better. Host is very responsive. House matches the description, and the price is right! Plus we were able to add another night onto our stay at the last minute which was really helpful.

5 stars at this Airbnb. Away from the hustle, close drives to fun, dining, activities. Very comfortable, great Apple TV. Amazing views of VT right through the kitchen window with an accessible trail across a beautiful bridge. Quiet at all times, plenty of hot water, amazing host. I can’t say enough good things to highly recommend this listing.

The place had everything I was looking for. Very peaceful, private and safe 👌🏽 Loved de sound of the river in the backyard and to be able to sit by it and enjoy the sense of peace that it gives. Surrounded by nature, the place is just perfect for that well-needed getaway to unwind and relax 👌🏽 That Superhost title is well-earned! Liz is such a wonderful host 👏🏽 She is super responsive, very attentive, wonderfully helpful and kind 🧡 She helped me make the most of my stay 🧡 Poop Stick is such a lovely dog 🥰 I will definitely be staying again in the future. Great spot right next to Okemo! The cabin was better than the photos, felt really homey and clean.

Stayed here to visit family while traveling from TX. Ann was very responsive and the unit was charming and comfortable. A well needed resting place for folks looking to disconnect a bit.

A very clean, cozy, and comfortable home! We came to ski at Okemo and were pleased that the house is only about a 10 minute drive from the resort and the town of Ludlow where there are great restaurants and shops. The living area of the home is spacious and great for hanging out - there were tons of movies on DVD and video games to enjoy. The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for cooking meals at home. The beds were comfy. Overall a wonderful stay! We hope to be back in the future.

We came for the weekend to get away for our anniversary and loved it! The cabin was cute and cozy. The property was beautiful with lots of space for our pups and I loved hanging out by the little creek. Super close to the nearby town but still secluded and felt very private.

Beautiful cabin in a great location. We so enjoyed our stay. Their guidebook was well put together and have great suggestions of things to do the day we were iced out at the mountain.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was private, in a really nice location and had everything we needed. Annina was quick to respond to us when we wrote to her and was extremely kind. We would definitely stay again.

Wow! This cabin literally felt like a slice of heaven in the Green Mountains. While being close to town, and easy enough to find and access, we were secluded and nestled amongst the trees and a flowing creek. We felt safe and secure. The wifi was fast and we were able to make calls and send texts. We were thrilled to find a Vermont Country Store just ten minutes down the street, and would highly recommend going! Shaw's grocery store in Ludlow was also surprisingly good, and we enjoyed many unexpected finds. This is notable as many of the businesses in Ludlow appear to be seasonal, and you may end up cooking back at the cabin. This is thankfully easily accomplished as the kitchen is pretty large, with ample cabinet space and new stainless appliances. The cabin had a nice outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove, which both made for a wonderful ambiance. Also, of note, the water out of the sink was delicious, and cold. No need to buy bottled water while you are staying. Thank you!

One of my favorite AirBnB stays ever! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable, memorable experience, this is it. The photos don't do it justice. This beautiful home was spotless, had so many amazing handmade artful features, and comfortably hosted our group of 5. Communication with Rik was excellent throughout, and he gave us excellent local recommendations. There are so many great surprises and personal touches in the home, so much space to explore - all in the comfort of modern, cozy amenities.
