You will spend your vacation in our apartment renovated in 2021 on the 7th floor (elevator available) of a former hotel. Through the panoramic window you have a magnificent view of the mountains and the climatic health resort of Bad Grund. The apartment has a built-in kitchen, a dining area, a modern bathroom with large shower, as well as a cozy solid wood double bed with cotton bed linens. On the balcony you sit between herbs (to harvest yourself) & flowers on teak furniture.

Sonnenhaus Harz - Cozy half-timbered house on the slope

Relax in our cozy half-timbered house in Bad Grund. The terraced house is located at an altitude of about 400 m on the southern slope of the Iberg in a listed half-timbered settlement in a cul-de-sac. We can accommodate up to 6 people. In the immediate vicinity there are hiking trails, the Iberg Dripstone Cave, the Weltwald, the Hübichenstein, two cafes, museums and much more. An ideal spot for a relaxing vacation right by the forest. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Arrive and feel good! Our small charming apartment invites you to idyllic vacation days in the Harz. It is perfect for two people who want to enjoy a relaxing break. Hiking trails start right outside the door, free parking is available. The centre of the mountain town of Bad Grund, with restaurants, shops and the newly renovated indoor brine pool, can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. The cave adventure centre and the world forest are about 2 km away.

Vacation with dog

Welcome to Walters Ranch! A small dog school in the Vorharz… That means dogs are welcome here. Here you are in the right place if you want to explore the Harz Mountains with a dog, like to end the evenings at the fire pit, maybe even want to have a small party? Or want to have the day and evening to yourselves. Our small apartment has 2 beds on approx. 38 m², a small kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Looking forward to seeing you soon :)

Welcome to the apartment for two persons renovated in 2023. The one-room apartment is located on the 2nd floor, an elevator is available. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, cozy sofa and 1.80 m wide bed. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The large, sunny balcony looks out on the Eichelberg. In the idyllic Eichelbach Valley, our house is surrounded by forest. On the second floor is the one-room apartment (approx. 35 square meters) with a large balcony with balcony furniture to relax. The apartment is designed for two people and has a double bed. It can accommodate an extra bed or a baby travel bed on request. A kitchenette and a sitting area are available to make it cozy after excursions in the beautiful surroundings.

Our comfortable, newly designed apartment (70 m²) is located in the beautiful Vor-Harz in a rural area. The tranquil town of Badenhausen (about 1600 inhabitants) is a good starting point for an active vacation or simply to unwind. Hikes or bike rides in the Harz Mountains can be started directly. E-bikes can be safely parked and charged. In the village there are small shops for everyday needs and some restaurants.
