PLEASE NOTE: OUR HOUSE ACCOMMODATES ONLY -- ONE -- GUEST. Our house is 65+ years old. We are located in the country but on a very busy road. We offer a safe and comfortable space that is ideal for sleeping while you do business or visit in Rhode Island. Perhaps you will recognize our home from another time you stayed with us or checked our listing. We had deleted our previous account because we were planning to move out of state. Those plans are now on hold, so we are once again hosting.
We provide coffee or tea. You are welcome to use the microwave or toaster to prepare your own food. There are restaurants, coffee shops, and fast food available in the area. In the warm weather you can sit outside, watch a variety of birds, and enjoy our large backyard. We come from Yankee stock, so you'll find our house somewhat cool in the winter. Bring something warm to wear.
Scituate is a charming, old-fashioned New England town. There's not much in the way of night life, but it's relaxing and a great place to get a good night's rest.

The neighborhood is an old summertime lake house community turned full time residence neighborhood. Houses have been modernized and renovated and the cottage is no exception. Take a 5 min walk to Little Beach (take a left out of the cottage, walk down Lakeview, bear left to Terrace and turn left at the end, keep going and the beach is on your right at the end of the street). Or take or a short drive to Slack's Beach (less than a mile). It’s all about location. Staying at the cottage is a perfect balance between urban proximity, suburban comforts, cottage serenity and country living. The neighborhood is residential, quiet and peaceful with very little traffic on Lakeview Drive. But close access to shopping, restaurants, colleges, the local library and proximity to Providence night life, combined with a quiet lake location and nearby apple orchards and farms make this an ideal home base for travelers, offering the best of all worlds. Several excellent restaurants are walking distance and access to the lake is a short walk down the street.
  • Our stay at this tiny cottage was wonderful. Corey was incredibly nice, just as the other reviews tell you. He gives you as much information as you need and more. Everything was clean, organized and labeled with cute personal touches. The labels made everything so easy. The option to rent his kayaks and bikes were such a great option (not to mention they are AMAZING bikes), and Corey is so helpful throughout the process. Such a great place to go to during this quarantine. Do not hesitate, book now! Will not be disappointed.

  • Corey made my stay here exceptional. It was above and beyond any expectations. He’s a very thoughtful person and took great care of me during my stay. I felt at home and it wasn’t easy to leave. The cottage itself is wonderful. Everything you need is in there, easy to follow instructions, super comfy bed + pillows, nice touches all over to make you feel at home. The lightning is great, too. And, a beautiful view of the lake in a super comfy local town. Thank you Corey for making my stay a memorable one.

  • The tiny cabin was so enjoyable to stay in. It may be tiny but it has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped, washer and dryer, comfortable bed . It’s a cute little place. Corey was great and offered the use of bikes and kayaks. My reservation dates got mixed up, It had me checking out for two days then back in. Corey quickly corrected it and let me stay that weekend for free. Great host, great community.

    Trent2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Corey was an amazing host. This tiny home had every amenity you would need. He keeps the fridge and cabinets stocked with goods you can purchase, which is a convenient touch. The lake was beautiful and luckily we got nice enough weather to take the kayaks out. I would definitely stay again.

    Rachel2020-04-15T00:00:00Z

  • Cesar was a great host originally was was scheduled to stay at one of his locations but I had a kayak and he changed me to his other location which was amazing it was perfect in every sense. Location value cleanliness and people. The people are amazing in the house and it was perfect because I could but my kayak on the deck. They felt like extended family

    Jennifer2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay. I read some of the reviews that said there were not places to eat nearby. Untrue. If you go down the road and make a right you are on 44 in 3 minutes and there are places galore. I would not hesitate to go back there again.

    John2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet place where I can work, use a bit of kitchen when needed, parking and fast internet were my main requirements and this place satisfied all of them. Clean place. The host is a cool guy, busy but quickly pays attention if you need anything. You will definitely need a car as the place is a bit further from nearby shopping plaza. To summarise - a nice comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it.

  • Suzanne is a fantastic and incredible host! She is very friendly and thoughtful enough to stock the bathroom and study room with every amenity you could possibly need! My stay at her home was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable, I enjoyed the browsing through the bedroom and living room. It was quiet and spacious. A perfect getaway for a relaxing visit. Suzanne keeps the bedroom/bathroom super clean and provides extra amenities. Highly recommend! Great way to begin 2020 with Suzanne!! This was our 1st time staying somewhere like this through AirBNB. We always stayed at hotels. But this time we decided to stay some where that felt like home. And this house felt just like that and Suzanne is so caring and thoughtful. And I would definitely stay here again.Thank you Suzanne and AireBNB for a great experience *****

  • Our stay at Suzanne was very pleasant. Everything was perfect and we were pleasantly surprised as we had space. The house is very cozy. Thanks again to Suzanne for her kindness.

  • Suzzanne was very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. The place was exactly as pictured and was very comfortable.

    Kyle2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne is lovely to deal with and I have no complaints at all regarding her and her house. It's also an easy bus ride from the nearby college into Providence, and vice versa (just have singles on you). But I'd definitely recommend (at least the first night) planning to get to Suzanne's when it is light out, since the area gets pretty dark and - even though the walk is relatively short - it can be a bit difficult at night navigating your way from the bus stop to the house when you don't know the way. Just a tip, and don't it let it discourage you at all from booking with Suzanne - I can't recommend her and the place highly enough.

It will feel like home the moment you walk in. Original art on the walls, rocking chair, dresser for your clothes, updated bathroom/shower with a view to the woods in back.
First floor- one step up entrance. Incredibly comfy (brand new) queen size bed, coffee machine, electric tea pot, and microwave. Bring your reading or art supplies! There is also a cot or air mattress if you have an additional guest (extra fee for this).
This is a rural and quiet are for the most part. Take a one mile walk to Willoughby Pond ( a trout filled pond)- fish, meditate, paint. I will leave a list of nearby spots of visit.
  • Sherri went out of her way to greet and accommodate my niece and her husband and 1-year old. They had a wonderful stay and enjoyed Sherri's apartment.

    Helen2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri was a lovely hostess. The location and property was fantastic. Will definitely be back again.

    Kristin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very comfortable place to stay, with a nice little kitchenette set up, comfy bed, a cozy and peaceful vibe, and a friendly pet pig (outdoors)! The neighborhood is very quiet, parking is simple and close to the door, Sherri is a talented artist and kind, friendly host. We were there for our time as artisans at the art show, but this is also a good location for visiting Rhode Island and CT's "Quiet Corner", or just for some r&r.

    Sally2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Look no further for a cozy and welcoming Airbnb experience!!! Sherri is a marvelous host. Her attentiveness, hospitality, and all around kindness made our stay a spectacular one! She even made us baked goods upon our arrival! Who could ask for more? The in-law suite has everything you could want or need - a fully stocked kitchenette, sparkling clean bathroom, tastefully furnished bedroom/living area, a television, microwave, an assortment of coffee and teas, a tea kettle, coffee maker, and a private entrance. It's the whole package, really. She even helped us with step by step directions to her home. Could not ask for a better stay!

    Julianne2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri is very accommodating and reliable as a host. Her spot was perfect for our long weekend and made us feel extremely comfortable. Very clean and was a great place to come back to at the end of the day and feel right at home. Definitely coming back.

3 mi. to Bryant, Fidelity, Citizens campuses. 20 minutes to downcity Providence. 2 minutes to busline. The Natl. Historic District of Georgiaville , a quiet, semi-rural lakeside village, is the setting for this unique c. 1790 stone house. The private suite with kitchen and garden access is complete modern comfort yet steeped in centuries-old vintage. We are two miles from the I-295 Beltway and the Apple Valley shopping hub and within minutes of all the very best Rhode Island has to offer.
This 230+-year-old building is a designated plaque house by the United States Department of the Interior. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under "Courtyard Houses" as a foremost example of English-styled cottage industry housing. Skilled weaver families worked looms in these duplexes for one of America's first textile ventures. Here, where the Pike crossed the Woonasquatucket, Nightingale Village grew to include a tannery, a Baptist church, a smithy shop and The Georgia Cotton Manufacturing Company. Shipping merchant turned entrepreneur Samuel Nightingale's hydro-powered spinning mill with cottage loom-weaving immediately followed Samuel Slater's and used domestically-sourced cotton. The house is built of local granite and lime-clay mortar, hand-hewn, pegged timbers and King's Planks, that is, the widest boards from virgin forests of white pine. The guest space retains original features--wavy glass windows and original pine planking; be prepared to walk across uneven floors with 1/2" gaps between boards and uneven outdoor surfaces including one flight of rugged stone steps with minimal lighting. The small queen bedroom has a chest of drawers and a desk/workspace. The mattress is new and firm with a soft Euro-top. There's a closet for hanging clothes and storage. There are extra pillows and blankets in the dresser and closet. There's a couch and a TV with Chromecast in the little library attached to the bedroom. Your private bathroom with small corner shower is stocked with towels, toiletries and accessories. There is an air conditioner in summer and adjustable heat. *The Rumford hearths in the rooms are well-preserved, but they are not functional fireplaces (NO flame allowed). There is a patio and garden for outdoor dining or quiet enjoyment. There are refreshments and dishes in a cupboard reserved for guests and in the fridge. The small kitchen appliances are available for use (toaster, coffeemaker, microwave) as is the refrigerator. Coffee, tea, fruit, cereals, breads or pastries are set out in the morning. We also recommend our favorite breakfast cafe in Esmond, fifteen minute's walk or two minute's drive from the house, open Wednesday through Sunday mornings. There are lots of other dining options within a three mile radius. For lunch we recommend Blackie's Tavern two miles away (an especially great place for people with any kind of special dietary requirements!).
The compact neighborhood surrounded by woods and farms is suited for walking, jogging and bicycling. Scenic Georgiaville Pond is across the street with woods, beach, dam and spillway. Within walking distance are three nature trails, two churches, a local favorite breakfast diner and a 24-hour convenience store. The public library and post office are one mile away. It's a 15-minute drive to downtown Providence We are in the heart of apple country. Smithfield boasts endless miles of stone walls and 18th century farmsteads, including the Georgiaville home of Sullivan Ballou, Civil War hero and writer of the famous "My very dear Sarah..." letter recited in Ken Burns' Civil War series. An early 19th-century Italianate mill stands at the heart of the village. We are between one half hour and 45 minutes from the wilderness preserves of western Rhode Island and the ocean beaches to the south, to Newport and the islands. We are 3 miles from Twin River Casino and Lincoln Woods State Park. We are just over a mile away from the 295 Beltway and major shopping centers.
  • We appreciated the opportunity to stay in this historic home, but the unexpected bonus was the warm welcome by the hosts! As tourists new to the area, Rochelle and Roger filled us in on all of the best of Rhode Island from history and culture to Rhode Island’s best food traditions. The accommodations were spacious and cozy (especially for a winter visit) and perfect for our extended stay. We came as tourists and left as friends. 👍🏻👍🏻

    Dawn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rochelle and Roger are very warm people. They go out of their way to accommodate their guests. They are so interesting to have conversation with. The home is unique, totally comfortable. Great way to begin 2020 !!

    William2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rochelle and Roger are incredible hosts! They are very friendly, and know a lot about the area, and are happy to have a chat with you! My stay at their place was wonderful! The bed was very comfortable, I enjoyed the browsing through their well-curated mini library, and Rochelle was thoughtful enough to stock the bathroom with every amenity you could possibly need! There was a bit of a winter storm coming on my last day, and Roger was kind enough to help me take my car to a secure parking area, as well as leave a scraper for me the next morning, so that I would be able to scrape my car before leaving! I can't recommend their place enough, and I hope to stay here next time I am near Providence! :)

    William2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place if you're looking for your own private bedroom, private TV room, and most importantly private bathroom. Always warm and clean, plenty of hot water, lots of privacy, and it's only 15-20 min away from downtown by car. Rochelle and Roger are some of the sweetest and most hospitable people I've ever met. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Spend Spring or Summer in New England in this new lakefront post and beam home in NW Rhode Island. Only about a 30 minute drive to Providence and a little over an hour to Boston and Hartford. Enjoy time on the lake in one of our seven kayaks or relax on the hammock. The home is furnished with all pine walls and ceilings. It features three 4K Smart TV’s and has central air conditioning as well as a gas fireplace. Note: we are taking extra time to clean and sanitize all surfaces as well.
This home is special because it is has all pine walls and ceilings. It has a relaxing cozy feel to it and nice views of the water. Everything was custom built including the dining room and high top tables as well as the kitchen cabinets.
The home is in a nice friendly neighborhood. We are close to the private small local beach as well. The lake we are on is supposedly one of the cleanest in the state.
  • Delightful, restful retreat to get away from the city. It was a perfect weekend recharge!

    Greg2020-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great house in a great location. Truly felt like we were away from it all during this crazy time. Richard is fantastic with communicating—very responsive, and the house was spotless. The lake is gorgeous. We also did some kid-friendly hiking at Sprague Farm land trust. Overall highly recommend!

  • Get ready to feel like you're in Maine or Vermont!!! The cabin is amazing and the atmosphere is great! Very relaxing and awesome to be able to use the kayaks for some lake adventure! Super clean and relaxing!!! Will definitely return!

  • This place was a perfect gateway with everything going on in the world right now! This home was such a peaceful and relaxing place. The home itself was beautiful and every room had such cute touches to make you feel right at home! If you ever need to just escape and unwind this is the perfect place! Richard was very tentative and so helpful! Thanks again!

    Marie2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Home was extremely clean and tidy with almost everything you might need for an extended stay. Kitchen utensils were more then expected. Some negatives depending on your comfort level is the heat source in the winter is a little small for the space. I imagine the opposite might be true in the summer as far as cooling. The road was quiet though and would definently recommend Richard as a host. It appears he takes his property seriously and it shows.

Grace Note Farm is close to family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the ambiance, the location, the views, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). Overnight and breakfast means lunch and dinner are off the farm as food is not permitted in the rooms. Home cooked meals are available by special arrangement.
There are many colonial antiques and reproductions that give the visual experience of farm life in that time. The pace is slower, farm life and nature is all around. Conversation is enjoyed by all. Small children have many first experiences to help them grow and understand how to approach and enjoy animals. There are many educational activities for ages 3-8+.
  • If you’re looking for a peaceful rest, a mental tune up or just somewhere to disconnect from society, THIS 👏🏾 IS👏🏾 IT❗️We LOVED everything, from Abigail and the animals down to the home made blueberry pancakes. This was a gem of a find. We will be back!

    Kendra2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia’s place is wonderful. A quiet and peaceful farm, yet central to shops and restaurants. It was great to play with the animals and enjoy a home cooked breakfast. Unplugged and enjoyed my weekend.

    Heidi2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place is awesome. The house is an old post and beam farm house. Decorated with all kinds of period items. She cooks a mean breakfast, no one went hungry. Loved staying there.

    Jeff2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia's place is beautiful, quiet, and serene. A refurbished 18th century building alongside an active farm, the house is lovely and rustic, and the location is quiet without being too far from some small towns with restaurants, bars, etc. Virginia was also a lovely host, offering us local tips, pleasant conversation, and a delicious and hearty breakfast in the morning! We're definitely planning on coming back!

    Grace2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking to get away from the city or simply want to explore nature and appreciate farm life, we truly do recommend staying at Grace Note Farm. Virginia is a gracious and accommodating host. Upon our arrival, Virginia gave us a tour of the animals in the barn and gave my son who is an animal lover, the opportunity to help her feed the horses. She cooks an amazing breakfast and ensures that you have all the things you need to feel comfortable. In addition, she set up an appointment for us to visit the historical house museum of the Dorr Rebellion where we had a private tour with the historian Edna Kent. Grace Note Farm is a place for adults and kids alike and we highly recommend it. We hope to visit again in the near future!

    Dalila2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Together with our two small children we spent one night on the farm. The farm house is very charming and a special historical treasure which was lovingly restored. It is furnished with care and the rooms are very cozy. The Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Virginia was quick to respond and helpful. We felt very comfortable and welcome and enjoyed to participate a bit the farm life. Our children loved to feed and observe the animals and to pick blueberries. Our eight year old girl got the chance to go on horseback. Just a wonderful spot if you want to get away from it all.

    Gregor2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking to relax and get away this is the place! Very quiet working farm with lots of animals and a beautiful grounds to walk around and enjoy and a host that is very knowledgable and pleasant and makes sure you enjoy the weekend. The breakfast each morning was very good with plenty to eat!

    Scott2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived late with 5 kids. Virginia graciously met us anyway, and made sure we were comfortable . We had a wonderful breakfast and really enjoyed the chance to talk with Virginia about the history of her farm, her experience with horses and as a flutist. Virginia is a wonderful host. Our children loved riding Virginia’s pony, meeting the rabbit, chickens, seeing the horses and wandering the farm and trails. Our experience at Virginia’s farm set a high bar for an air bnb stay.

  • Eilleen is a fast communicator who asks what you need and then leaves you alone: ideal. Easy access: The lodging is the lower half of her house with it’s own private entrance with parking directly in front of the door. About 15 minutes drive from Providence. Bed, private bathroom, sitting room, kitchen, desk area. It is a simple farmhouse both inside and out however the rustic feel is charming for a city slicker like me.

  • Awesome deal and amazing views here just literally a stone's throw from a lake. The environment and the neighborhood is beautiful. Only about 5 minutes from restaurants, grocers, and major shopping complex. Two dogs can be hyper but they warm up quickly. Within 1 day they were cool with me and within 1 week they were cool with my cat. Kitchen cupboard space is small. Fridge space more than adequate for me. Bathroom is legit; also adequate space in there. Stairs are narrow and I had to duck going up and down (I'm 6 foot). Bed is firm and comfy. Finished basement room is very nice and stays cool. Adequate space for even long term folks.

  • This place is amazing, clean and cozy. I recommend it 100%. You won’t be disappointed

    Nick2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was much nicer than I was expecting, the renovations are great and the open floor space is really inviting. Mickey is a very professional and quick communicator. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Fantastic value.

    Donny2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mickey’s place is exactly as pictured on the Airb&b site. It is a beautifully remodeled older home which exudes quaintness, comfort and hominess. The master bedroom is large with the most comfortable king size bed we’ve ever slept in. The second bedroom is also large with a queen size bed. The third bedroom is smaller with a twin size bed. What we like the best with this apartment is its brightness, roominess and cleanliness. The kitchen is large with plenty of cupboards if needed. The dining table is an old farmhouse type of table which comfortably sits six people. The den with the couch and TV has French doors which close. Thus if the TV is loud, one can easily close the doors to work at the kitchen table, read is the sitting area, or go to sleep without being disturbed while others watch television. Mickey, our host, is wonderful! He was always available for questions and quickly addressed any issue one might have had. We could not have asked for better responses no matter what time of day or night. The house is situated in a nice neighborhood and we felt safe at all times. There was plenty of onsite parking. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

    Roberto2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish design with so many comfortable areas including the small den for watching some Netflix, reading chair and beautiful kitchen table. The apartment was sparkling clean and cozy. The artwork was amazing and for sale, very creative touch. We were also able to bring along our 3 small pups and they absolutely loved the backyard! So close to Providence, many small quaint shops, and restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!

    Holly2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our last minute trip to Mickey's. The apartment was spotless and much bigger than we expected. The decor was stylish and checking in was very easy. We most definitely will stay again!

  • We selected this place for a nice weekend getaway with our friends. Everyone who came was so amazed on the exterior and interior Victorian style chateau. The living room was spacious. The rooms where clean. We took advantage of the dining room, breakfast nook, kitchen and out doors. We loved it so much we never left the house only to buy groceries to cook meals. The only thing is the bottom bathroom had a hard time closing but that’s about it. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here, and I would definitely would rent it out again

    Arkady2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • I traveled back to Rhode Island from my home in northern California for work for about a month. The travel was completely unexpected and the difference in climate of these two places got me really worried (right before Christmas). My husband helped me to draft a short list of places in the area and I chose Anne Marie's place because I always longed to live in the classic American house seen from the movies that I don't find often in Bay area. When I arrived, the place was exactly what I had in mind: woody open space with big trees everywhere; chilli Christmas air and crispy blue sky; historical downtown Woonsocket with its retro beautiful Christmas window display... The house itself is elegant in its lilac painting with a spacious back yard (incl. sitting area) and ample space for parking. My room is fully furnished with possibly all amenities one can think of for a decent house life. All surfaces were sparkle clean. Art works from MoMA present a tasteful display across the house... All the worry vanished away.

    Gloria2019-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Anne Marie's place is clean, cosy and perfect for a short or longer stay. Anne Marie is very responsive and thoughtful. Upon my arrival, I had fresh flowers, pastries and breakfast items provided in the fridge. There is a lot of natural sunlight in the apartment making it a beautiful place to stay and the bed is very comfortable. Thanks again for a great stay.

    Rachel2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This review is only for AnneMarie and her place and not Airbnb itself. I would rate this place a ten . The unit is what is described in the listing. Annemarie is the perfect mix of being there if needed while respecting privacy. The place is set up in such a way that it doesn't feel like you are walking into someone's home. The area feels safe and surprisingly quite despite the busy road. We travel with a ton of stuff and the parking , stairs and doorways were all large enough it was quick and easy. Yard space is adequate and kept up nicely. Living room is small but bedroom is large so a tv in the bedroom might be my only suggestion. When traveling the most important things to me are cleanliness and feeling comfortable . I don't think anyone who stays here could find anything that could be done better in those two areas.

    Angie2016-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We were welcomed by Ann Marie with fresh flowers from her garden and some treats to snack on. We didn't have any issues while we were there. Temperature was good in the room, everything worked, and we had easy access to the rooms.

    Cindy2015-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Anne Marie's. The small apartment was perfect for a couple. It is comfortable and spacious with a nice kitchenette, small eating area, sitting area, private bath, and a nice sized bedroom. Anne Marie is very kind and welcoming, and radiating with positive energy. My wife and I have some allergies, and Anne Marie was very attentive to our 'special needs.' We really appreciated the gluten-free snacks, bottle of orange juice, fresh eggs, and other snacks. The neighborhood has many fine historic homes along both sides of a centuries-old New England road. Highly recommended!

  • We had a great little getaway at Deb and Andy's cabin. It is very cozy and well decorated and we appreciated the local tips for hiking. There is an expansive open woods area behind the cabin to explore. Also very much appreciated coffee and homemade bread in the morning. Definitely recommend staying here for a secluded getaway!

  • If you are looking for a place to unplug and reconnect to what matters, this place is it. Truly makes you enjoy what the simple life is all about. The lake is gorgeous and the island is really an outdoor extension of the cabin. Woodsy outdoor living at its best! We kayaked, did some swimming, and relaxed watching the ducks. Morning coffee on the overlook deck we will definitely miss. We had the most amazing family time. We hope to visit again.

    Heather2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so serene: perfectly settled in a town, yet you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The boat to the island is attached to the dock along a property line that you have to walk through a gate to get to. Small Jon boat, but large enough to bring all your things in just a few small trips (depending on how many people/things you bring). Once you get to the island (2 minute boat ride max) you walk up to the cabin and use the code (you receive in the email) to undo the combination lock on the door. Outhouse has the same deal, combo is in kitchen, combination lock on the door. Cabin has 3 bedrooms, appropriate amount of beds (with linens, pillows, & sleepingbags on everything) on one half of the long cabin. The other half of the long end of the cabin is one long room split into a sitting area with a (pellet?) Stove, dining area, and "kitchen". Kitchen has a small efficiency stove with 4 burners, sink (remember no running water, so its essentially a drain) a bunch of storage and what looks like everyone's leftover everything. So if you forget a cup, bowl, utensil, knife, pan, pot holder, etc dont worry. Bring wood! Available for sale at the dock for $10/bundle or at local gas stations along the way. Bring water! You'll need it for more than drinking (washing dishes, bodies, etc.) Island has a propane grill, fire pit, 1 loooong picnic table, 2 plastic patio tables, a few benches, a bunch of plastic chairs, 3 "beaches", a patio outside the cabin and the outhouse. Outhouse has only the basics: toilet, hand sanitizer, & mirrors. Remember no running water, so you need to fill the provided 5gal bucket to force flush and its BYOTP (bring your own toilet paper). All in all this place is perfection. We had the absolute BEST time. Weather was perfect, zero bugs, privacy, fishing off the dock, floating in the reservoir, watching the sunset & rise. AMAZING! ALSO, bring a hammock. You won't regret it. We will be back ASAP. We love it here!

    Michael2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 5th summer coming to the island, and it didn't disappoint! It is always a treat to spend time in the middle of beautiful Echo Lake. The island is spacious and private, with everything we needed for grilling, relaxing, playing board/ lawn games, and gathering around a campfire. Dot is friendly, flexible, and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Definitely recommended and will visit again.

  • This was our first booking with airbnb or any B&B's so we had no idea what to expect. This home is lovely, so very clean and well maintained. We wondered how we would do sharing the bath and kitchen - but the other guests were quiet and mostly invisible. They had a well stocked kitchen and snacks. We could tell they have mastered the host roles - and highly recommend Richard's place.

I have booked multiple stays at his home and plan to continue to through out the rest of my contract at Landmark medical center (which is literally not even 3 minutes away) Richard was fast to respond to my needs, and willing to accommodate my off hour check in/out times. Well worth the price, room always ready and spotless on my arrival.

Enjoy your own private 2 Bedroom home located on a private road that can sleep 6 guests. Enjoy quiet summer days and cozy nights by the fire. Access to a paddle boat and 2 Kayaks. Enjoy Swimming fishing boating on beautiful 325 acre Echo lake. Days are quiet and peace full with the home located on a private cove away from the commotion of the lake traffic. Fully furnished, kitchen and full bathroom. This is a house not a cottage and a great place to enjoy a summer vacation.
  • Adorable house with an absolutely stunning view of the lake. By day I loved walking out to the private dock to go canoeing or catch some sun and by night I enjoyed making bonfires and cooking out on the grill. I stayed here in the fall, so the foliage was beautiful! I also felt very safe with other neighbors close by on my street. The spot was a few minutes drive to restaurants, a grocery store, and CVS. Andrew is a lovely family man who responded quickly to all my inquiries. Five out of five!
