Fargo Holiday Rentals

Just booked in Fargo

This is a 3 bedroom classic home 1 mile from St Clair River and Downtown. Totally renovated with restored rustic floors and tons of flare. It has 3 bedrooms and large dinning room. Awesome kitchen and living (URL HIDDEN) backyard with bbq and fire pit. Two car parking and patio area.
This home is much larger than it looks and is a real treasure of a vintage Port Huron home with totally updated features.
We have two homes side by side that can be booked if required
  • Overall a good visit! The home was very nice, well decorated. We are a family of four, we have a toddler and an infant. The two rooms closer to the front of the house can fit a pack n play, both of our kids sleep in these away from home. It's family friendly but definitely not baby proofed. I understood this when renting and did not expect it to be baby proofed but I had to temporarily move many breakables so my toddler and crawling infant would not attempt to play with these. If you don't have children, this will not be an issue. The house is quiet large and has nice spaces. We enjoyed playing in the living room and in the fenced in backyard. We used the gas grill and the fireplace, both worked well. Jennifer provides ample seating in the backyard. The home stayed cool with the window AC unit. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, skillets and utensils. The Dining room table is large which is nice.

  • The pictures do not do the house justice! I was pleasantly surprised at how large and open the house feels once you're inside. Plenty of seating in the kitchen, dining, and living room for everybody to stretch out. The fire pit in the backyard was a perfect touch! Clean and modern kitchen and bathroom appliances. Very easy access to what appears to be the main road into PH as well. I'd recommend to anyone!

  • Quaint place, perfect for a family. Lots of room and homie. Jennifer truly made our stay very special and felt right at home. Will definitely stay again when we visit Port Huron

  • A beautiful home inside and out! The yard area is very nice! Port Huron has a great feel to the city and many beautiful historic homes. The home is very close to the water and the downtown area with plenty of food/drink options less than 5 minutes away! Couldn't have asked for anything more!

    Charles2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely 3 bedroom home! Very spacious, open room design. You can be sitting on the comfortable living room couch and still see the cook in the large kitchen. The wall plaques, pictures and nick naks make the home feel complete. Instructions for the WiFi were easy to find and use. Jennifer was very accommodating and let us pick up the keys early since no one was there the night before our stay. We thoroughly recommend this house for your Port Huron stay.

My place is close to parks, great views, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the views, the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
The entire 2nd floor will be yours to utilize. It has one queen size bed, 2 twin beds and a complete living room area all with views of the water! Everything is completely updated. There is also a TV in the bedroom. You can use the living room, kitchen and basement. The basement has a pool table, bar, and sofa sectional that can also be used for overflow sleeping. Everything in completely remodeled and very cozy! You will love the home! There are lots of outside lounge chairs to sit by the water or on the deck!
  • Site was good location, however there is no privacy (if someone was home downstairs) due to the 2nd floor without door. Everything except for handsoap was available with this rental. Site could use some dusting prior to renting out. I have allergies and sturggled with the dust present at check in. This could be a very nice rental with some attention to details and odors coming from the basement. The charge should adjusted due to layout and need to use bathroom downstairs only.

  • This house is very beautiful. There is a private beach, nice, cozy furnishings, direct tv, with room for a lot of guests to sleep comfortably. There's a lot of fun things to do in the area: Lakeport state park, wineries, breweries, an apple orchard and cider mill. We really enjoyed our weekend! The host was very available, and answered questions promptly.

    Brienn2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing. We really loved the cottage. It was well decorated and there was plenty of room indoors and outdoors for everything we had planned. Can't wait to stay there again!!

    Rachael 2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Check-in was easy, owner was very nice. The house was clean and well kept. Loved the beach and outdoor space. Thanks again! We'll be back next year

    Cody2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular lake views & sunrises. The property is located in a beach community and the cottages are close to each other. There is a pedestrian easement for members of the Homeowners’ Association and their guests to use for beach access. It runs the length of the house on one side. During our stay the folks bound for the beach were well behaved, except for the teens with fireworks and the ones who talked loudly – probably out-of-town-weekenders like us. And the ones with the drone at 11 pm. The “two bedrooms” upstairs are actually one big room with a staircase but no wall of door between them. The twin beds are on one side of the staircase, the queen bed on the other. Even though the queen-sized platform bed had a new mattress, it was not level. It was like sleeping on a hill. Host said it will be replaced soon. A recent remodeling effort was not quite complete – there were no cover plates on electrical outlets and the bottom support on the stair rail was missing. Every cupboard and drawer seemed to be full. If you stay here more than day or two there's no place to put your things. Host did not make an appearance.

  • Waking up to the sun was something I will never forget! Her home was adorably decorated, her home was very clean, and her comunication was top-notch!

    Natalie2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing retreat. Nice home with an amazing view of the water, updated kitchen and bath, comfortable main living area. Easy access to Lexington restaurants and waterfront area. When we contacted Silvana to confirm check in a couple days prior to our arrival, she communicated that she had workers repairing water damage on the ceilings. She hoped the work would be completed prior to our arrival, unfortunately it wasn't. Because of this the home was dusty, dirty and a bit in transition. It just didn't feel ready to rent.

    Matt2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Silvana was wonderful to deal with and her home is absolutely beautiful! It was clean, quiet, and welcoming. The water was beautiful and the sound of waves crashing was worth every penny. The yard has plenty of sun and shade throughout the day. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Unfortunately, my husband and I had a very unpleasant experience during the check-out process with the host. We ended up leaving the house around 11:45 (check-out time was 11:00) and we did feel bad about losing track of time. We have two young kids (a 2 year old and 9 month old) which is not an excuse to be running late; but I would not have expected someone to be so rude considering that. Whenever we tried to apologize and tell her that we were trying to be as quick as possible (as she followed us around), she repeatedly tried to engage us, tried to start arguments, and scolded us about how she's never had a late checkout in 20+ years of renting the property. I'm a non-confrontational person so the whole experience was very upsetting to me especially the way she was talking to me in front of my children. Eventually, I took my kids to the car and my husband finished packing our car solo while the host switched to following him around the house. Although we were a bit late getting out of the cottage, it could have been handled in a much better way, especially given there was no damage or anything. In addition, I received an email from AirBnB that the host is requesting $200. $50 for being late, $100 for garbage she claims was not taken out (she took a photo of a small bin containing a small tied grocery bag of items which my husband removed when we left the property), and $50 for clean dishes that were in the dryer rack. Setting our interaction with the host aside, pros of the cottage was that it did have a beautiful view of the water and was pretty quiet. Cons were that we did not have cell coverage even though we were told AT&T had service there (airplane mode was used to prevent Canadian roaming charges), lack of wifi (plus or minus depending on person), lack of amenities (no bed sheets, hand towels, washrags, beach or regular towels, paper towel, toilet paper, throw blankets, etc.). They did have basic cable on the TV – the picture wasn’t the greatest but could make do. We’ve rented places several times before and have always had such positive experiences with the hosts. It’s really a shame that she handled it the way that she did, us running late certainly did not warrant the treatment we received.

  • Wonderful cabin - lovely decor, well provisioned with nice towels and sheets, toiletries, hairdryer, and kitchenware. Very comfy anniversary weekend of snuggling, beach walking, cooking, and games! Will definitely come back.

  • Everything was great! Everyone was happy. My mom wants to come back next year for her birthday again. :) We had a wonderful time. We call Buddy the black lab, Houdini. This is the second time we have left those dogs alone and that dog knows how to get out of the house immediately. In fact, Keith was in trouble with his wife right away when the boys came down to the beach, before we knew anything was wrong.

Knotty Pine living room, updated kitchen with new backsplash and countertops, full bath, french doors on entrances to bedrooms. Small fenced in backyard with privacy fence and patio. Large unfenced side lot perfect for bocce or volleyball (much provide your own sports equipment).
    No stairs - ranch.
Relaxed, quiet vacation community. Don't be surprised by the dirt roads and golf carts! Neighborhood has unique houses - perfect for walks or bike rides.
  • This cottage was very quaint and in a great location. It's in a residential area that seems to have lots of families. It was quiet and within walking distance to the water. The beach isn't that huge, but it is a nice area and the water isn't too deep which is lovely if you have small children. Plenty of table service for entertaining, awesome grill, great outdoor set up for sitting outside. I will mention that the only bathroom is located off the master bedroom which is a little inconvenient and not well portrayed in the posting. Also, there are glass french doors on both bedrooms, with one bedroom having an open ceiling. Just something to keep in mind from a privacy perspective, or if you have delicate sleepers.

  • Nicely located to the water and town....you get the feeling of seclusion while being in a friendly neighborhood setting. Everyone we came across was friendly and the location was quiet. Our dog loved laying on the porch watching the birds and squirrels. We can't think of anything Gary's cabin lacked, so we have no complaints. We hit the brewery in Lexington for their Oktoberfest, grabbed some great pizza & beer down the road and enjoyed walking through town down to the harbor. We would not hesitate to return.

    Doug2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gary's cottage was very cute. Even though we were in the woods we had no bug issues in the middle of June. We had three little kids and three adults and were very comfortable. Lots of fans and other basic amenities that made the vacation go smooth. I'd highly recommend Gary's cottage and while you're there treat yourself to fantastic custard at Bunny's.

Sandy Feet is a 1935 vintage cottage that embraces 21st century living without letting go of its beloved past. This quaint & timeless cabin sleeps 7 - 8 in 3 bedrooms, and is situated across the street from Lake Huron (small view) with beach access.
Sandy Feet Cottage pricing is *inclusive* - there are no extra fees for cleaning, linens or weekend stays. Inclusive also means that all paper goods, soaps, and basic necessities (like coffee, tea & hot chocolate!) for your stay are offered. There is an additional charge for more than 5 guests, including family/friends who arrive/sleep after your arrival date. Nightly and weekly rates (as well as minimum stay) vary depending upon the season. Check the calendar for the rate on your requested dates. Generally, it's a 4 night minimum stay for Memorial Day through Labor Day, Thanksgiving, & Christmas; otherwise it's a 2 night minimum stay. The cottage has very convenient access (within a mile or two) to restaurants, movie theaters, and all of the major big box stores and grocery chains. With this quick and easy access, unusual for most cottage experiences, there is some road noise from nearby Lakeshore Road. This is the only access up the 'thumb' of Michigan, so guests may hear some traffic noise when on the deck or lawn. There is no traffic noise heard from inside of the cottage, or on the beach. In addition to the 3 bedrooms (Master with king bed, 'Beach Room' with 2 XL twin beds & pullout twin trundle, & 'Bunk Room' with 2 twin bunks & antique Ranch Hand's bed), there's a living room with leather couch & board games & puzzles, new kitchen, dining room, bathroom with shower, and Florida room/enclosed porch (with a small view of the lake). Located across the street from Lake Huron, a giant deck wraps around two sides of the house with gas grill, umbrella table, chairs, and loungers. The huge yard, great for badminton, bocce ball & croquet, also has a fire pit for evening bonfires. There's a large garage with 3 adult bikes, and all the beach toys & games imaginable for the young and young-at-heart. Grab your lightweight wagon with beach chairs, towels and cooler (provided) and head down the block to the paved path to the beach where you can gaze over miles of open water, with it's ever-changing waves & sand. And there's no better place on earth to sip a cup of morning coffee and watch the sun rise. This charming cottage has antique wicker on the enclosed porch, local vintage postcards on the walls, a very unusual antique 'ranch hand's' bed, mission rocker, maple Shaker dining set, and other retro touches. But there is also a new 'smart' tv (49' in lvg rm) with Netflix and HuluPlus access (provided), a recently-remodeled kitchen with microwave & all needed small & large appliances, a Bluetooth music system (streams music from apps like Pandora or Spotify or play your own stored tunes in your smart phone or tablet), washer & dryer (supplies provided), and high speed internet augmented with an additional router to be sure there is plenty of strong Wi-Fi access for all of your devices. We want you to be able to relax on your vacation, so in addition to linens & towels (both bath & beach), all paper goods, shampoo, soap, spices, coffee, tea & hot chocolate are provided. There's even extra sunscreen, bug spray, toothpaste, & deodorant if needed! Cozy throws & blankets are located throughout the cottage, but a new gas forced-air furnace will make Sandy Feet toasty in an instant. And for those 'dog days' when fans & the lake breeze are not enough, there's central air conditioning. Vintage, yes, but re-imagined for the 21rst century. The Blue Water area is a year-round destination! The beach and waterfront on Lake Huron & the St. Clair River are amazing no matter the season. There are festivals & fairs in all the nearby towns nearly every weekend in June, July and August (Yale Bologna Festival, Lexington Art Fair, Floatdown, Antique Yard Sale Trail, & many more) and lots of fall, winter and spring events & activities as well (Festival of Trees, St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl & Parade, Tom & Jerry's at the famous Brass Rail Bar, fresh apple picking, cider mill and Christmas tree farms). Port Huron's most famous July event is Bayview Yacht Club's Port Huron to Mackinac Sailboat Race, the largest freshwater sailing event of its kind in the world. With over 300 contestants, the event brings boaters and tourists from all over the world to what has become a week-long festival of parades, vendors, and parties. And the start off the race happens right in front of the beach at Sandy Feet Cottage! The historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse (1829) is the oldest lighthouse in Michigan, and tours are available May through December. We also love the tours of the historic lightship, the Huron. These are just a few of the many recreational, sporting, eating, relaxing and plain old fun that you can have while vacationing in this terrific region. Or, there's always books, games, puzzles and simply resting at the cottage on the beach, on the porch or around the campfire in the fire pit. Do lots or nothing at all!
Sandy Feet Cottage is in a superb location in Fort Gratiot Township on the 'north end,' only 1 mile from the mall and all of the major superstores and restaurants (both local-owned favorites & all the chains) - and less than 5 min. to Starbucks, Barnes & Noble Books, and Krafft 8 Movie Theater. You're in downtown Port Huron in 10 minutes, with all of the great shops, restaurants, farmer's market, River Walk, marinas and more. The picturesque vacation village of Lexington, with their great summer music series, quaint shops, fun beach and long pier walk is only 15 - 20 minutes to the north of Sandy Feet. And for those visitors not from SE Michigan, it's no more than 60 minutes to Tiger Stadium and the Fox Theater in downtown Detroit to catch a ballgame or professional theater.

  • Sandy Feet Cottage is an amazing place to stay! Darlene has provided everything that you would need to have an exceptional stay. The location is perfect for being so close to the water and also close to restaurants and stores. The cottage has a wonderful kitchen so if you chose to not go out to eat, cooking in is great. Darlene has stocked the kitchen well with pots, pans, dishes, spices, etc. The area is a very quiet neighborhood. While taking in the view of the lake at the access area, a neighbor was walking his dog and asked us if we were visiting and where we were staying. He gave us recommendations for restaurants and could not say enough good about Darlene. I highly recommend Sandy Feet Cottage!

  • All the information and instructions were right on point. We felt like we were at a relatives home. This was better than staying in a hotel! Thanks Darling. Mary

    Mary2016-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage felt so welcoming. Everything we could need was there for us. So organized! We had loads of fun at the beach with the kids, which was a super short walk from the house.

    Elizabeth2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time! Sandy Feet cottage was so charming. Darlene, our host had everything we needed and then some. The short walk to the beach was one of the best parts, even in November! We visited the Fort Gratiot lighthouse based on our host's recommendation and it was a big hit with our family.

  • House is great and amazingly decorated with everything you need. Linens and everything are high end and place is amazingly well stocked with supplies and lots of room. Everything you need for beach and kids. Only negative really is that beach is very small at end of access.

  • Our hosts were very helpful when we got there, stepping in and fixing a door that wasn't latching fully. Very sweet hearing of the story of how this little cottage came to them, and welcoming us. Then they left us alone for the three days we were there, so we could have the place to ourselves. Thanks so much!

    Donald2016-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Host was great and the cabin is very cute. It was rustic but nice. Perfect for our needs for a little extra room while visiting family over Christmas. There was coffee! We were not able to figure out how to take a warm shower, but maybe that was because of the very cold outside temps. Everything else worked and was good for our needs.

    Amelia2016-12-26T00:00:00Z

  • Great cottage with bright, open kitchen and family room area. New modern appliances and counters. Only one small full bath. Comfortable beds in the bedrooms and pull out sofa bed in living area.

    eric2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it there!! The beach is small, but you are on your own and can have your coffee in the morning or a sunset drink there. Water/Beach is really clean and the kids spent the whole day there looking for beach glass or swimming. Very friendly and helpful neighbours and Nancy was also really helpful in advance and during our stay. The house is very clean and we didn´t miss a thing. Supermarket is just a 4 minutes drive. We come back!

    Patrizia2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was the perfect haven for a restful and relaxing get-a-way. Nancy's decor is cozy and upbeat; everything is clean and functional; and we were greeted with snacks. We were there for a family event, but if you were new to the area, you would have found tips, maps, and brochures if you wanted to venture away from Lake Huron. It was beautiful weather when we were there, so we walked on the beach, went rock hunting, and the kids even took a dip in the lake. Overall, we're confident you will enjoy your stay as much as we did!

    Carol2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's place is very tastefully decorated and a pleasant environment to spend time in. The kitchen is very well equipped. Nancy was an excellent communicator leading up to our stay and delighted us with chocolates on the bed! The unit was comfortable for six people, but may be a little uncomfortable for more if they are not immediate family (we are lovers of space). Just a few meters from the beach, so a great location for summertime.

    Michelle2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I kind of wanted to take the bed with me. Only a short walk to the beach & close to plenty of shopping & restaurants if you're not up to cooking. David was great when I called & couldn't get the key safe to work after checking out once I realized I'd left my medication in the fridge.

    Shannon2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family spent a wonderful Labor Day weekend at Nancy's lovely cottage. Nancy was always quick to respond to our questions, and the cottage itself was great for the six of us to sleep, cook, relax, and enjoy the lake. We all highly recommend this house.

    Andrew2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage! Our family of 6 adults stayed comfortably. The private beach is within a few minutes walk and a private beach was a short drive away. The cottage is close to many shopping options as well as an excellent variety of restaurants. We enjoyed getting away for a few days with no internet connection. It allowed our family a time to connect and spend quality time together. The cottage provided many amenities that we did not expect. We highly recommend this cottage.

    Emily2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A serene setting, quiet and comfortable, just a few minutes from downtown Lexington. We were only stayed one night and were out with family in the area most of our waking hours, so only saw Mike at check in, when he encouraged us to have a morning cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the pond.

    Janet2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home! Scenic setting, great wildlife. Comfortable amenities. WiFi, Netflix. Close to town. I was away most of the time, but liked Mike and Rebecca and look forward to staying there again.

  • Mike and Rebecca were very welcoming and hospitable upon our arrival, and even introduced us to their friends and guests. The room was quiet, clean, and just what we needed. Thanks for the coffee!

  • This beautiful country house was Far and Away the nicest Airbnb experience I've ever had. It is so beautiful in the immediate neighborhood, Mike and Rebecca are wonderful hosts, and Lexington Michigan is only 2 miles away. Lexington is a Charming town and Lake Huron is beautiful. Highly recommended.

    Kurt2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Rebecca are AWESOME people. Extremely down-to-earth and friendly. They let us use their bonfire pit and wood, and came out for a great, fun conversation. Also gave us a ride into town so we could save the wait for a taxi. The location is secluded enough that you'll feel "in the country", but close enough to the town (1-1.5 miles) that you can go in to explore really quickly. Overall they are really great people and we will definitely consider going back to Lexington again. Also, the people of Lexington are extremely friendly. Check out Steis's on a Friday/Saturday night for a great time.

  • We had a wonderful time during our stay in Lexington. Steve's cottage is just a short walk to the public beach, which although quite small, was nice. The cottage is also walking distance to downtown Lexington. We'd highly recommend Sweetwater Gourmet Deli & Bar...their food is delicious, especially their pizza which is some of the best I've ever had! The neighbors around the cottage are all very friendly. And, Steve was a gracious host. We would definitely consider staying here again.

    Kristin2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location near everything and a nicely maintained property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Steven is a gracious host who provides all you need for your stay.

    Elizabeth2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nice neighborhood and the beach house was clean and well maintained. It was close to a very nice public beach and just a few blocks from lovely Lexington, MI. Our only wish is that air conditioning be added.

    Joel2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house is really lovely! Watching my daughter play in the amazing yard with my parents and her cousins was really magical! The house was tidy, comfortable and roomier than expected. Also, it was LITERALLY a 2 minute walk to the beach--talk about a perfect location! We loved the home and hope to visit again in the future!

    Alicia2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • The weather was perfect, the location was great (as advertised, very close to everything). Steven couldn't meet us, but left a nicely stocked fridge with drinks, to make us feel at home. The outdoor patio and yard were the best feature, along with the close proximity to the town and beach. The nearby beach's public access was small but adequate. The water was beautiful. The boat flotillas that congregated on the weekend could get a little noisy at times, but the kayak brought us out to quieter waters. No part of the house was large, but the 4 adults and one baby were comfortable.

    Lauren2015-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Steven was not able to meet us when we got into town but sent a detailed message explaining everything. He also responded quickly to messages sent to him with any questions that we had upon arriving, and during our stay. The cottage was beautiful and felt like home as soon as we drove up. The neighborhood was nice and it was not far to the lake. The village of Lexington was quite lovely and not far from Port Huron, MI if you want to shop or find a bigger grocery store. We felt really taken care of while staying at the cottage. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back if ever in the area.

    Jennifer2016-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Steve has a marvelous house with a nice large garden to it. We had a wonderful time there. The kids (3 yr old twins) had a great time enjoying the garden and the near by (one block away) sandy beach of lake Huron. The house is nicely decorated and well equipped. At the beginning we missed having TV and wifi. But after a while it definitely also helped relax and shut off from work. Lexington is a nice little town with a holiday flair to it. The direct neighborhood is quiet and we felt absolutely safe. We can only recommend Steve's place!

Our cottage is named for the two doves which appear every year in the garden. We have often been told that the cottage has a warm and wonderful feeling to it. The decor has been thoughtfully selected to reflect a peaceful and warm space.
Two Dove Cottage has two bedrooms downstairs. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has a trundle bed which can become a double bed. There is a bathroom nearby which has a beautiful glass block shower. The third bedroom is in the loft and is reached by a spiral staircase where one can get a peek at the lake from the arched window. This sleeping area is above the great room. Six is the number of people (adults and children) who can be accommodate in the cottage with the exception of infants. There is a Play and Pack for infants. Off the great room there is a full bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub/shower. Both bathrooms have wonderful smelling handmade soap. The great room has a wood burning stove that comes from Ireland to keep you warm on chilly nights. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach toys in the great room closet. There are games and books including games and books for children on the bookshelf in the great room. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. There is a large dining area off the kitchen which boasts the original knotty pine paneling. The entry with it's skylights and slate floors connects the great room with the dining and kitchen area. A very large deck is reached through french doors from the great room which has a gas grill and a table for outdoor dining. There is a front porch as well with a porch swing. The yard is a double lot with has gardens and a small pond. Best of all we have two neighborhood beaches which are a very short walk away, less than a block, where you can enjoy the beach and watch the freighters. There is also a public boat launch at the harbor about two blocks away. A well behaved pet who is updated on shots and on flea prevention will be considered. An increased security deposit may apply. We donate 5% of each rental to Habitat for Humanity.
Our cottage is in the village close to the beach, boat launch, shops, restaurants, and park. All within a very easy walking distance. In our neighborhood we have two accesses to the beach. There is a golf course about a mile away. The village tends to be a friendly place.
  • Such a fun time being in Lexington at the Two Doves over the weekend of July 4th! The place and location are great for a weekend getaway. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The beach area nearest the cottage wasn't the best, because it's mostly private. Actual public area is only about 50ft wide. But once the crowds died down after the 3rd/4th of July the beach was much more enjoyable.

    Ben2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We have a family cottage in Lexington, and after 26 years we needed an additional place for the growing family to stay on the family weekend. This is a lovely home, right in downtown Lexington. Walking distance to everything. The house was clean and suited the 3 couples plus baby well. Helen has been wonderful to work with and I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again!

  • A great value: this house had everything we needed for a long weekend. It was so adorable, and close to the beach and downtown area. Lots of restaurants and a few bars within walking distance. The house had beach toys and chairs for us to use, and everything was clean (minus a few spiders, but we didn't mind), and came with everything we could have needed! We had a wonderful time!

    Faith2017-06-25T00:00:00Z

  • Our stay at the Two Dove cottage was great - excellent location with close proximity to the water and downtown, spacious interior with plenty of room for 6, and charming décor. My oldest loved the loft bedroom and the younger ones were fascinated by the spiral staircase (ours were old enough to go up, it's too steep for really young ones though). Check-in was easy, the description was very accurate and the house/kitchen were well-stocked for our needs. We had never been to Lexington and really enjoyed our time there -definitely want to go back!

  • Very nice place in downtown Lexington. Good food, bars, groceries are literally down a flight of stairs. The beach is a short walk down the sidewalk and the pier is awesome. The apartment has a lot of space and is very nicely decorated and updated. It was clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities and is worth the cost. The host responds quickly and our trip was very smooth. The only negative was that one of the bedrooms off main st. is noisy at night and I needed ear plugs to sleep.

The Lake Huron Lodge is a 9000 sq ft home that we purchased in 2015. We totally remodeled it in 2015 and turned it into a boutique hotel. We have Four 1 bedroom Studio's, a 1.5 bedroom studio, a 3 bedroom 2 bath studio, a ADA compliant studio and a 3000 sq ft 5 bedroom 2 bathroom house. In addition there is a banquet room that can seat up to 60 people. There is a flat screen TV and a Bluetooth stereo in the banquet room.
  • The Huron Lodge is a very spacious and well kept post civil war mansion with most all the modern conveniencies you could want. It is just a very short walk from the beach and everything in town. We had a great time and would highly recommend the lodge to anyone.

  • Great place. Super cute and cozy but most of all the beach access and deck, with endless firewood to have a bonfire and great time was priceless. Will definitely stay again :)

  • Kelly's place was lovely for a quick one night getaway from metro Detroit. It was spacious enough for 2 people with less than a 3 minute walk to the beach. Kelly was easy to communicate with via text and she responded quickly.

A perfect getaway for a weekend or as long as you'd like in "The Doll House". Just a few steps from the gorgeous lake Huron. A very quaint and cozy house just to relax at any time of the year!!
  • Ashlyn was a great host! She had fresh baked muffins and veggies in stock. She also had plenty of supplies in the fridge and pantry for us. When we asked if she had a certain item she went right out and delivered it early the next morning! She even had wifi installed right before we arrived so it created a perfect working space for me! The space was smaller than I anticipated in some areas but that's where the 'doll house' theme comes into play.

    Angela2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ashlyn was a phenominal 5 star host! The accommodations were exactly as shown in her photos. The home has a wonderful 1950's charm to it! Ashlyn provided exceptional service! When we arrived, her Doll House home was spotless and she had stocked our refrigerator, freezer, and pantry with many food items including fresh baked muffins as well as fresh fruit and vegetables from her home garden! Thank you so much for your generosity, Ashlyn, we really enjoyed our stay in your Doll House home and hope to return again soon! :-)

  • What a lovely cottage! It was so kind of the hosts to stock the cottage with all sorts of little luxuries! We felt so at home! Just a short couple min walk to a nice beach.

    Vicki2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at the Pink house! This is what Airbnb is all about! Such a unique place with charm. :) I love how short of a walk it is to hang out at the beach- Beautiful, quiet, and I can even see Canada! The house was quaint, super comfortable and private. I loved having coffee by the window, relaxing, reading, and walking down to the beach. It was such a fun and relaxing getaway! I will be back! Thank you for everything Ashlyn!

    Kari2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The doll house is a very cute little place. Ashlyn was responsive to our questions. She does a lovely job with food, snacks, treats. We loved it that it was so close to a nice public beach on Lake Huron. Being near the water was high priority for us. Please note that if you are as tall as my husband (6'6"), this will not be a good fit for you. He could not stand upright in the bedrooms. Before staying here, be sure to ask if the construction in the neighborhood has been completed and is no longer impacting the house's plumbing. We had some issues with toilet and tub drainage for an hour in the morning. Temporary construction-related difficulty was the explanation we received after-the-fact.

    Susan2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Everything you could need when you are staying there and great location

    anna2017-10-22T00:00:00Z

  • Clean, cozy, quiet, and quaint. And, wow! Such an adorable and unique cottage. Gotta b the cutest yet. luv the ambiance of the area with the freighters & gulls. Clean, relaxed, beach & friendly ppl. So pleasant not to have to fight traffic and look for parking. Just a short hike to the lake. P.s. thank you for the muffins Ashlyn... was not expected, but appreciated! I Will stay again soon.

Super Cute Cottage Home fully renovated, 3 bedrooms sleeps 6. Have a beer on the back porch bar looking over to the St Clair River and the Bluewater Bridge watching the freighters and sail boats go by. Walk 4 blocks to the beach on Lake Huron!
Walk to the beach or walk to the miles of riverfront recreation along the St Clair River
  • The house was warm and welcoming. The location and view great.

    Kerry2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jen met us at the cottage exactly on time, with a warm welcome, a key, and some basic information about the place. Anything we neglected to ask was covered by the introductory information inside.

    Elizabeth2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great three days in this nicely decorated house with all you can think off. Everything was brand new and the kitchen was very well equipped and full with supplies. We particularly enjoyed the two terraces in the garden, one with a BBQ and one adjacent to the house under a roof. We could even eat outside while it was raining. Very close to the beach and the bridge. We loved the view on the river and the huge boats coming by. Thanks Jennifer for all this.

    frits2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The property had a wonderful backyard with a limited view of the river, but enough to allow you to see the freighters passing and the beautiful blue water. Inside this older home the host has done a nice job with decor and furnishings, especially in the cozy living room which has very comfortable seating. Each bedroom had closet space for hanging clothing along with beds that were comfortable. The kitchen had adequate appliances along with the standard kitchenware for serving guests. We contacted the host for an unexpected trip to the area, and she went out of her way to accommodate our needs within reason. Both our arrival and departure went smoothly.

    Andrew2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for a few months and loved it! This cottage is cute and feels fun, from the beachy decor to the adorable back yard (complete with hammock and grill!) A kitchen and mini-laundry area made it ideal for a long stay, but it's just as awesome for a weekend away or to stay for a longer vacation in lovely Port Huron. It's a short walk to the boardwalk along the lake, and before long you'll find yourself downtown from there. Jennifer is a great host, too. She was on top of things and answered any questions I had lickety-split. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

    Jeanne2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • One night stay between a MSU game and going to Canada. The place is adorable. I would highly recommend. Thank you so much.

    Tracy2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place was the perfect getaway for my girlfriends and I. The pictures online were exactly what the place looked like-cute, comfy and clean. We walked to the river boardwalk and enjoyed being so close to the water. The kitchen was stocked with all the condiments and pots/pans you needed to whip up a nice meal. Communication and check-in/check-out was smooth and easy. Thank you!!

    Jyl2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Great back porch and easy walk to the river. Perfect stay if you are doing a conference at the DoubleTree. Great inside space that is well kept. Jennifer was really easy to connect and communicate with too. Definitely recommend this place!

  • Everything was more than expected. Suzanne and Ken are great hosts, warm, friendly willing to listen and do everything they can to take care of you. The Inn is located across from a park and the St Clair River is just down the street. What a beautiful river, and a public walkway along the seawall goes on for miles. The inn keepers are very knowledgable about the City of Port Huron and all the best places to hang out at. We definitely are thinking of coming back.

Having lived in the area I knew that the location was perfect for us and quickly discovered that Suzanne and Ken had made a very comfortable place to stay. They were also helpful and accommodating to our needs. Each breakfast was yummy and Suzanne was kind enough to avoid dairy for me!

  • Kelly is wonderful and we felt very welcomed. She helped with several suggestions of things to do and places for dinner. We were able to spend some brief encounters with some of her family and they were just as wonderful. Her home is clean, quiet, and has a lot of charm. We never felt rushed and enjoyed a delicious breakfast before leaving. I would recommend The Balentine House to anyone. Thank you Kelly for making my first bed and breakfast stay a great experience.

  • Kelly was a fantastic host, and the house has a great history behind it. Kelly let me in on fun things to do in the area and was very flexible with check out/check in. She even made me breakfast! Five stars!!

  • Kelly was very welcoming and kind, but not overbearing. Her place is the most quaint space I've ever stayed. It reminded me so much of my grandma's home in the best way possible. All the decor and furniture felt authentic. The listing pictures do NOT do it justice. Every room has a color scheme and there's something new to look at every time you turn around. It's very close to the center of town and the McMarron Auditorium. We really enjoyed the farmer's market right down the street near the waterfront. And Kelly's breakfast did not disappoint. She even made everything gluten free to accommodate my sister. Definitely recommend!
