We had a wonderful time in Wanda's house. It will be difficult, after this stay, to find a house as well equipped and comfortable and a hostess as attentive to your well being. The house is ideally located for exploring the Neckar Valley and Heidelberg.

A beautiful wooden house! Very close to nature, great views of the forest and Neckar, cozy in autumn in wind and weather with a crackling fire in the fireplace ❤️ The best way to travel by car, as it was a bit out of the way. Nearest supermarket is 10 minutes away by car, but with public transport a bit more expensive. We definitely recommend this accommodation! Denise is a very magical and lovable host. I immediately felt very welcome and was received by her incredibly nicely. The house is in a quiet place, close to the city of Heidelberg. It can be reached within 20 minutes by S-Bahn. I slept wonderfully and was very relaxed the next morning. The room is tastefully decorated with many details and offers plenty of room for creativity. Even a coffee was ready for me and I enjoyed it in the morning sun with my dear host. Thank you for the nice discussions and your great hospitality! I felt very comfortable in your charming house and will now return to this wonderful place more often.

The apartment is very tastefully decorated, very clean and very neat. The room and the small balcony face south with views to the valley side on winding roofs. In the equally beautiful kitchen you can sit, the bathroom has everything you need and there is an extra toilet. Denise is very nice and the communication worked great. The place is small and has a nice old center, and is well connected by suburban train to Heidelberg. We walked very nicely in the Neckar valley and admired the four castles nearby.

The rooms are spacious and bright, with two bathrooms on each floor, all the kitchen items are available, the quality is very good! The surrounding scenery is beautiful, the only inconvenience is that there is no supermarket, you must remember to bring food to stay, you can enjoy a good night!

We were very warmly welcomed in the Waldhaus by Albert & Gabriele. It is a very nice house, certainly ala base for walks in the woods. The kitchen is fully equipped and fully equipped. A great bed makes the night complete. Recommended.

In terms of location also very satisfied, it is wonderful to be able to walk straight into the forest from the garden. Beautiful surroundings, nature at home and plenty of hiking opportunities in the nearby area. Supermarkets in the area and from here you are also quickly in Heidelberg. In short, definitely recommended and we hope to come back here again!

This is a fantastic house in a wonderful location. Albert and Gabriele are kind generous hosts. We loved sitting out around the fire in the evening, listening to the owls. There are lots of great places to visit nearby, such as Neckarsteinach, Heidelberg, Hirschorn, and lots of walking or cycling in the forests or by the river. Highly recommend a stay here.

It was a super nice stay in the lovingly restored by Albert and Gabriele Waldhaus. Calm, pure nature and enough exploration possibilities for our 3 1/2 year old son. There was nothing missing and due to the heat we were even extra 2 fans provided - better and friendlier than any hotel. We will definitely be back!

Really nice apartment. The location is really good. It’s a beautiful place and really good situated if you are planning to do some hiking, mtb or other activities. It’s close to Heidelberg and easy to reach with the car or the ferry. The apartment has everything you can need. It has been renovated a few years ago and everything looks pretty new. Alexis was very helpful and always reachable. I would totally recommend this apartment.

A beautifully located apartment with great views and well equipped kitchen. That's where cooking makes you happy. The rooms are pleasantly air conditioned. The hosts are extremely accommodating. We felt comfortable and well looked after. We are happy to come back!

Meet the descriptions. We were out playing golf on a few nice courses in the area. We looked at castles and sailed with the riverboat to Heidelberg. The evenings and mornings we enjoyed on the terrace with the beautiful view.

Neckarsteinach and the Neckar valley region can impress you at first as driving through the upper State of Vermont with it's rolling tree covered hills and winding roads...until you find your first castle in a series of lovely castles and then the fun begins! The Neckar valley from Heidelberg to Neckarsteinach is enchanting with its history and has captivated the imagination of Mark Twain whose written about his experience. The month we spent here never had a dull moment nor did we run out of daily adventures from finding and exploring the castles, taking a river cruise, walking along the Neckar river pathways to exploring Neckarsteinach and it's neighboring and equally inviting town of Neckargamund with a short drive to Heidelberg which can take weeks to explore alone. The local shops, markets and restaurants with the Neckar valley views are amazing, the German people helpful and accommodating. Our month stay here was awesome, Alexis is a true Superhost, the apartment was more then enough space for my wife and twin adult daughters, plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. We spent hours both in the early morning and late evening sitting on the patio being greeting by the incredible castle views and captivating night sky which was ideal for star gazing, quite neighborhood is an understatement. Only 20 minute walk to the town's center which was so worth the time. Would so come back!

It is really a nice Hause. And the view is fantastic. The river is so beautiful and anyone goes there should have a look at the lights beside the river at night. Most importantly, Maria is so nice and even prepare for us a baby bed. And she responds really fast. I really like this beautiful hause and the beautiful town!

What a gorgeous spot! You’d be missing out if you don’t stay here. There are very beautiful views from the large balcony, a very large space with the kitchen and bathroom well separated. Very cozy and quiet bed and living room. Beautiful decor making you feel right at home! Everything you need in the kitchen plus more! And Anne-Katrin left us some yummy candy! What a delight. Wish we had stayed longer.

Very nicely situated house, fully equipped kitchen, nice balcony, quiet (except for a wonderfully babbling brook) and overlooking a dense forest against a hill. Village with all amenities within walking distance, Heidelberg at 20 minutes by car. We found Heidelberg a really great city but the wine routes and villages in the area are also recommended. Castles and churches, beautiful nature, and of course: asparagus! Beate even took them for us! A real superhost!

For hobby cooks that is missing Oven, but the apartment is quiet with a great View into the distance and also with the bus you are really fast in the City and can the many good Heidelberg restaurants and other then test it. Nice and clean place to stay. Very nice, open-minded and helpful hosts. The accommodation is close to nature, as well as to the town center. Heidelberg is easily accessible and the Odenwald is always worth a visit. Unfortunately, the room cannot be locked from the outside, which is an important criterion for me. The floor is shared with members of the family, of which we have not noticed. Everything pleasantly quiet. We would love to come back.

Marlis is a very sweet lady with a fine sense of hospitality. Her appartment is as beautiful and warm as can be. It is so cosy, and has about everything you need. The accommodation of Birgit and Günter is fantastic! I could relax very well and everything was very clean! In addition, Birgit and Günter are very accommodating and open! Also details were thought. Unfortunately, the accommodation (as described) a bit further away from the major cities, yet easy to reach by car. I felt very well and would claim the accommodation again and again!

The space is large and there is an adjoining balcony which is very quiet and large. The bathroom is also large (with bath) and the kitchen is more than fine. The owner (Günter) is a very jovial man and can talk to you well (if you like). We have been here one night in transit, highly recommended, also to stay for a longer period. You can really enjoy the tranquility here!

This was a wonderful and clean apartment for our family of six to stay in.

Cathleen's place was lovely to stay in. Perfect base for a stay near Heidelberg as it is about a 30 minute drive (a very pretty drive). Check in was so easy as there was a key safe, so could arrive whenever suited us. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. A quiet and peaceful location. I would happily stay again if I was in the area, and would recommend it to my friends.

If you want to stay in a place situated in what looks like a fairytale look no further. Your are right on the Neckar in the cutest old town right under a castle! The apartment was great and had everything we needed. We appreciated the hot tea that was provided as we were there in cold weather. You are also not far from Heidelberg which was a joy to explore. We highly recommend to stay here.

Nice little village with character. Communication flawless and fast, check in flexible and uncomplicated. Apartment corresponds to the description, bedroom, bathroom and small stove for cooking available.

The apartment was really great and comfortable. You can really relax and Nikolas was very nice. There is everything like coffee maker, kettle, coffee and everything. It takes about 15 minutes or so to walk from the train station. There are also many good restaurants nearby.

The space is very clean. It has all the basic things that you need. The beds slept wonderfully and there are a number of cozy seating areas in the room. You can see the beautiful river Neckar from the window. Near the house is the Hirschhorn Castle, a 2-minute walk away. Recommended! The communication with Nikolass went well. It was a shame that we didn't meet each other. Thanks for the nice accommodation Nikolass!

Good location (10 minutes walk to the train station, 15+ minutes -I think- to the old part of the city), in a nice and quiet area, very nice houses around. Great apartment, at the top floor, with enough space and a nice distribution, stylish I would say, with a lot of light, warm (my stay was in february) and clean. Kitchen is well equipped. Great host Manuel, educated and nice.

The place is located really close to the main station (15 minutes walking or less) and very close to the centre of the city (30 minutes walking). Manuel also when to the station to receive me. It is a five-floor apartment really clean and quite big. Also, the decoration is really beautiful. The room is very comfortable and it has everything you need. The apartment has a full equipment kitchen available to use. I stayed there for two months and it was really great. Manuel is very quiet and keeps the house really clean. Also, he helps me a lot with receiving my stuff when I receive some documentation and when I bought it something in amazon. It is a great place to be at Heidelberg no matter how long are you planning to stay.

The Manuel is a very reliable and uncomplicated host. I could use the whole apartment, it was very fast as in a shared flat. The room is very lovely and inviting. Manuel answered quickly, for questions he was always available by phone. He had offered to pick me up from the train station, although the apartment is only 10 minutes walk from the train station. I would highly recommend the accommodation, the value for money is right. The city center is good and quickly accessible by tram and bus (about 10 minutes). Heidelberg is a tourist city - in the Weststadt, where the apartment is located, you can experience a piece of original Heidelberg.
