Places to stay in Woodstock
The Willow Treehouse is settled among the trees, overlooking a small, swimmable pond, on a wooded property 15min away from the town of Woodstock. It is cozy, yet has all you need to cook dinner, enjoy reading, chilling, or swimming. Separate spaces for chilling, writing a novel or enjoying the view. The sleeping loft is accessible by a ladder, and you would have to walk in with your luggage, so pack lightly. It is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.
Designed by Antony Gibbon and built by William Johnson the Treehouse is a passion project that came to life.
Secluded and quiet, but only 15 minutes from downtown's many shops and restaurants

  • This is the perfect getaway from all the hustle and bustle. The place is just as beautiful as the pictures if not better. My boyfriend and I came for a few days to celebrate my 30th birthday. Discover a mix of modernity and history in this re-imagined barn built in the 1870s. The home features original architectural beams and exposed brick, a cozy fireplace, a back porch, wood finishes, a vibrant use of color, and a BBQ.
This home is a peaceful and relaxing spot. There are three good-sized bedrooms with queen size beds, plus an extra queen size air mattress. The kitchen is large and has lots of coffee, tea, dishes, cups, utensils for your meals. We've spotted deer and wild turkeys wandering through the backyard. The animals seem to love the creek running through the property. You'll also likely hear a variety of birds. There's a projector screen that you're welcome to use with Amazon and Netflix. You're also welcome to sit around the fireplace in the living room and use the propane grill out back.
The area is home to 300,000 acres of Catskill Mountain hiking trails, and the Big Deep is a great swimming hole in the summertime. A five minute drive away is downtown Woodstock with a variety of shops and galleries.
  • We had a lovely weekend at Zack's place! This home is the perfect balance of having a ton of character and feeling very homey while not having a ton of overly personal items. It's easy to feel right at home here, and there's plenty to do between the corn hole set, large projector, and many games. Zack was communicative and easy to reach. I would definitely stay again!

    Tatiana2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, nice projector for watching movies, nice stay all around!

    Daniel2020-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s Woodstock cabin was the perfect upstate retreat. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing, socially distanced stay. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with every amenity you might need. I especially appreciated the historical artwork and memorabilia. The kitchen was well-stocked. The fireplace was amazing to have, especially since we had cooler weather during our visit. The yoga room is great. Our dog loved the screened-in porch and leashed zipline in the backyard.

    Robert2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Zach’s place - will be back!

    Xavier2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • I have never felt more instantly at home than in Zack’s house in Woodstock. The living room is ultra cozy, the beds are so comfortable, the babbling brook in the backyard was beautiful, the entire house was totally stocked. Couldn’t have asked for more and Zack made sure we felt totally welcome and taken care of. A+ stay.

    Conor2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s house is a wonderful mix of modern and rustic. We enjoyed all the games and amenities. Also, my husband and I both agreed this was the very best fireplace we had seen! The bed in the downstairs bedroom was amazingly comfortable. We would love to return!

    Ioana2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This farmhouse is so cozy and comfortable and in a great location! We loved our week in the country and the house was stocked with anything we could have needed for our stay. Zack was communicative and helpful before and during the stay and has really made the house feel like a cozy special getaway. You are just a few minute drive away from downtown Woodstock with great shops and places to eat and close to Saugerties which was a nice way to spend a day. A few things to be aware of: the shower pressure was low, to be expected from an old home. We visited in feb so of course it was cold outside and hard to keep the main floor warm, even with the various heaters, main system and a fire.

    Veronica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Zack’s home was incredibly comfortable and spacious with such a cool design! Great location and fireplace made us feel right at home!

Acclaimed painter Reginald Marsh's family estate is known to be unique for Woodstock with its ball shaped junipers, a pond that brackets the house, expansive lawns, a gathering of birches and 100 year old cone shaped cedar trees.  Today the 800sft architect-renovated former carriage house of the estate is an updated space decorated in a warm mid-century featured as Freshgrub unique property, and most recently at Icon Design Magazine. The Carriage House comes with views to the stream and a private swim hole with waterfall, outdoor dining with charcoal grill and multiple outdoor lounge areas.
If you want to fall asleep to the stereo lullaby of frog croaks while watching the spectacle of fireflies competing with stars, this is the place. Frederick Dana Marsh, father of the well known Social Realist painter Reginald Marsh, married Mabel Van Alstyne in 1930, starting a notable artistic partnership as the Van Alstyne Marsh Collection that was later acquired by the Smithsonian Institution. Their home was unique for Woodstock—'It was in the background of the Mona Lisa; a Van Gogh landscape; a train ride through Tuscany—ball shaped junipers;  a pond that bracketed the house;  expansive lawns; a gathering of birches.  But most of all, big cone shaped cedar trees.  It is a marvelous thing to look up at backlit clouds at sunset—see the intrusion of cedar peaks, pointing up like soft missles and the erratic flight of mosquito catcher bats making ninety degree turns down the channels between the trees.  A photographer friend was here last weekend and I told her, “Don't worry about framing the picture, just point and shoot.  The landscaper framed it for you seventy years ago." ' Here I quote Austin Metze, who knows this piece of land long before it put a spell on us. To be there is to inhabit an idyllic painting. Sit in the property's own Hidden Chair Waterfall or chill at the secluded sandy beach swim hole a one minute stroll away through enchanted woods, take a hike up Milk Mountain or across the stream up the trails of the neighboring nature preserve for a Sunday brunch in town and visit to the flea market. Or just read a good book under a cypress tree. The Cottage House is on the same property as the Pond House, occasionally available for rent at 'Woodstock Historic Artist Estate' listing. Both houses are very private. There are three houses next to each other, the Cottage House, the old Farm House that is permanently rented to our dear Lainey and Austin, and the Pond House, currently owner-occupied. The Cottage House faces the stream with waterfall and small swim hole and the great lawn on one side and the woods and 'Milk Mountain' on the other, with an outdoor chaise overviewing the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge. The house is an architect-renovated 800sft two bedroom, one bath, sleeping 5 by means of a sofa bed in the living room. We provide linens, towels and other necessities. The house has an outdoor dining area with charcoal grill, as well as lounge chairs by the waterfall. Rates November-March: (except holidays): Weekends $225/night Week Days $150/night Weekly/Monthly 10% off Cleaning Fee $150 CHECK IN 2pm CHECK OUT 10am Rates April-October: Weekends $275/night Week Days $225/night Weekly/Monthly 10% off Cleaning Fee $150 CHECK IN 2pm CHECK OUT 10am We have a one night minimum policy, except weekends require two nights, holidays three nights. find us on Instagram as marsh__meadows
Idyllic setting bordering a public preserve, short walking distance to the center of Woodstock. Two rental houses are separated by the main house, facing away from each other ensuring privacy. No other house is visible from inside the Carriage House with its own designated back yard facing the stream. The swim hole is shared with the Pond House, with a second, larger swim hole a short stroll through the woods away. An outdoor day bed overviews the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge.
  • I almost want to write a bad review so I can have this place to myself. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. Nin and her husband were lovely and welcoming and we look forward to staying again!

    Jonathan2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, stayed for a whole week. Beautiful property set back in an awesome location away from the hustle and bustle, yet easy to get to town. Apt is very well decorated and functional. Highly recommend for a relaxing retreat.

    Michael2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful modern cottage. We spent a romantic weekend in Woodstock and the cottage was just what we expected. The owners have great style and taste. The place is small but super cozy and comfortable. The view to the pond and stream was my favorite aspect. Sitting on the sofa looking out at this view is what I would come back and rent again for. The kitchen and bath are modern and well equipped which is rare for short term rentals at this rate. A great value overall.

    Laurent2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nin was wonderfully communicative and maintains a beautiful space that's incredibly close to downtown Woodstock. The perfect getaway!

    Emilio2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time! Especially as trip to get away from NYC, the cottage was cozy and quaint and very peaceful. It was furnished to feel like a dream home and it felt that way. I look forward to returning in the future.

    Marc2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A magical spot- beautifully decorated in a tranquil setting by the stream. Close in to town but feels private and remote. The interior was wonderfully decorated and thoughtful in its style. An amazing find!

  • Expect nothing but a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The woodlands surrounding the farmhouse comforts is perfect for escaping busy life from the city. Hospitality is outstanding and Jack was readily available for any questions and assistance.

    Audrey2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had amazing time in this cozy stylish place. The house is antique with modern twist, a real wood fireplace makes it extra warm and cozy. It literally has everything needed for comfort. We loved the hot tub and the sauna those are great amenities to enjoy during winter/spring seasons. The host was friendly and accommodating. This is one of the places where you want to return again.

    Andrey2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lenny and Jack’s place is absolutely amazing, and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. Highly recommend!

    Gary2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. I was looking for some quiet to write music, and other than a rare car passing by, this was the spot. Jack was super attentive and responsive. I would happily stay again!

    Billy2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This property is outstanding. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub and the overall outdoor atmosphere. The home was extremely warm, welcoming, and cozy. Jack was there to greet us upon arrival. So many thoughtful touches and overall we really loved our stay here.

    Bryanna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lenny and Jack’s place is exquisite! Huge stylish kitchen, convenient location, sauna, hot tub all made for a perfect Woodstock weekend! Jack took great care to make sure we had everything we needed from first contact to follow up text on checkout day. This is a must stay!

    Shannon2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend staying here. The cabin is cozy, clean, and filled with stylish touches. The amenities are amaaazing. My girlfriend and I loved the sauna and the heated toilet seat haha ;D and the jacuzzi is beautifully placed at the top of the walkway amongst trees and a well-lit path. I loved the different levels of the property (having an upstairs and a small climb to the backyard). There is an easy trail nearby and the town was just a 7-10 minute drive away. Very accomodating hosts who made sure we had everything we needed while also giving us space and privacy. Thank you! We look forward to coming back one day.

Exquisite mountain views, immaculate cleanliness, cozy wood stove, beautifully deigned, great bed, all amenities, freshly roasted coffee, well-equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi (adequate for working remotely), cable TV, Netflix, and serenity! For your health and safety, we sanitize all hard surfaces, steam clean all soft surfaces, and maintain rigorous cleanliness standards. Close to everything, far from everyone. Due to Covid-19, Woodstock prohibits stays under 14 nights until state of emergency is lifted. Significant discounts for 2 weeks or more. PLUS status, registered with town and county.
Our little cabin is made and furnished with great care and attention to detail. The space is comfortable and homey, bright and flooded with fresh mountain air. Many of the pieces are hand made and those that are not were chosen for both their aesthetic and functionality. We offer high speed internet access, full service internet TV, Netflix, and a full kitchen with every utensil and pot/pan you need (we've been to a bunch of airbnb's and we hardly ever saw a decent sized spaghetti pot!) and hand crafted bathroom with shower. The views from every window are exquisite - from the front we have miles and miles of national park that change in appearance every day. Whether its covered in fog, changing leaves, bright sunshine or fresh snow Mount Guardian delivers a constantly changing and stunning landscape. Enjoy your morning cup from one of the hammock chairs, the couch, or with a newspaper at the kitchen table... At night , forego the tech and curl up in front of the fire with one of our books, or set up a board game with a glass of wine. The place is cozy warm in the coldest months, and although we have air conditioning, its rare that you'll need it. When you're ready - jump into our queen sized memory foam bed before deciding to get one for yourself (yes - its that good and we're happy to share the details). and gaze up through the skylight at the stars. If you're used to sleeping with constant light and noise you'll be amazed at how well rested you feel after just a couple nights on the mountain. Skiers- we can't guarantee the snow, but the cabin is 20 miles from Hunter, 31 miles to Windham, and 36 miles to Belleayre. Inquire about our mid-week skier specials (Sunday night through Friday morning). We are pet friendly, but only small and medium sized dogs (sorry, we can't allow cats). We charge a cash deposit on arrival, and return it to you at the end of your stay. If you would like to bring a dog, PLEASE SEND AN INQUIRY (DO NOT USE INSTANT BOOKING). We have some pet guidelines which you need to read and agree to first. Nothing huge or surprising, but due to some irresponsible pet owners, we like to be clear before you book. If you are planning to come by motorcycle, PLEASE send an inquiry (do not use instant booking). Special Events in the area: June: Taste of Country and Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain (Both are great by the way!) June through October: Usually something just about every weekend. Check out what is going on at Levon Helm Studios, Bearsville Theatre, the Colony, Maverick Concerts. Many other music and theater venues a little farther off. Mid October: The view of the changing leaves is spectacular Mid October: Woodstock Film Festival. Book early. This brings big crowds to our little town. Late October: Woodstock Luthier Festival November: Halloween in Woodstock is an event not to be missed. Half for the kids, half for all the folks around here who haven't abandoned their 8 year old. A LOT of fun. Christmas: when Santa comes to Woodstock, most of the town turns out for the welcome party. Like no other.
The cottage is set in the secluded woods of Mt. Guardian, four miles from the center of Woodstock. Explore artist workshops and colonies, excellent music venues, great restaurants, bars, and plenty of cool little shops. Hiking, skiing, swimming, and tubing are all nearby. Licensed massage therapist available next door or in cabin (please book in advance). It's beautiful up here every season- spring and fall are magical, summer swimming, tubing, exploring and winter skiing and times by the fire.
  • Harvey’s guesthouse was nothing short of a slice of heaven. He was extremely kind and hospitable and made me feel extremely welcome. The cabin is beautifully designed, has stunning Mountain View’s and is a short car ride to the heart of Woodstock. The bed was extra cozy. Can’t recommend more. Thank you Harvey for your extreme warmth and kindness especially during the pandemic - I hope to be back soon.

    Liz2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little getaway spot. Owners located next door and are easy/pleasant/helpful!

    Michael2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know. Can’t wait to come back to this lovely little getaway! Loved everything from grinding the host’s fresh roasted coffee and enjoying a cup each morning and evening on the porch, to easy-to-assemble fires thanks to the well thought out guidebook. Open the door and lounge on the Eames chair and listen to the symphony of birds. Harvey was very friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with. We appreciated his hospitality so very much.

    Lauren Brynn2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice made-for-airbnb spot. Cozy, comfy bed, simple but with everything you need. Please note that the owners live next door, who are very nice and welcoming, also live next door, so if you're looking for something complete complete privacy, this isn't the place. Still, it's clean, well done and styled, and a nice stay overall.

    Jonathan2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Harvey’s place was immaculate, well equipped, and very convenient to Woodstock and other Catskill attractions. Harvey is very welcoming and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

    Matt2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a top notch cabin! My wife and I stayed here to celebrate her birthday weekend. Harvey and Linda made us feel right at home. The cabin was beautiful and spotless. They were extremely accommodating and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do, places to eat, etc. We also really appreciated the welcome book and guide that was provided at the cabin. It made our stay as easy as possible. We loved our stay here and we would absolutely recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a quality stay in the mountains.

    Jason2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It doesn’t get lovelier than this. I really didn’t want to leave... so Harvey offered me a late check-out, a couple of extra hours with my pup for a long walk in the woods out back, an extra cup of coffee lazing on the porch looking out at the mountains in the distance. I’ll be returning as soon as I can.

    Cindy2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend getaway here! Harvey was a great host, providing excellent dining recommendations and dropping off fresh-roasted coffee on the day we arrived. The guesthouse was private, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Amazing location-- felt like it was tucked away from all civilization, but actually quite conveniently located near Woodstock. We plan to return!

Awaken in a plush queen-sized bed to this welcoming, light-filled studio suite. Spacious, with an open floor plan, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and many large windows which showcase the gorgeous forest and mountain views. A custom timber-framed shower adds unique charm.
Spacious, recently updated 800 square foot studio suite. Open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and lush views from every window. Property sits at the base of a mountain and is surrounded by 1000's of acres of protected DEP forests. We provide high quality, 100% cotton bed linens & towels and pride ourselves upon keeping the guest suite impeccably clean.
The studio is located in Willow, one of the hamlets of Woodstock, on a scenic road with very little traffic. Take a stroll at sunset down our street and enjoy some of the most beautiful mountain views around. It’s a short drive to Phoenicia.
  • This spot was just what I needed for a quiet writing retreat. Chase and Liz provided a desk chair, the view was beautiful (inside and out), and there were unexpected delights like a tea box and a fireplace that turned on automatically when the heat started to drop. My only critique is the sliding glass door going out to the balcony (second floor) was broken, which made me uncomfortable as I'm used to locking my doors at night. Several of the slats on the vertical blinds were broken as well. Other than that, it was just lovely.

    Trevor2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Chase and Liz were incredible hosts. The space surpassed our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay even more than we expected. Already planning on returning or visiting one of their other properties :)

    Yesenia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful! The design was lovely, sitting by the gas fire place curled up with one of their many extra soft blankets, and watching the sun setting over the beautiful mountains was absolutely amazing. The studio is detached from the main house, but above a garage or working studio, so you’ll hear the hosts when they are in that area, but otherwise it’s completely quiet. I love that it’s so near Woodstock and all the amazing food and shipping there. I would definitely book again!

    Christine2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed and more! We were looking to find a cute place in Catskill Mountains to get away from all the chaos in the city and this was definitely what we got. Chase included so many nice touches such as having an abundance amount of toiletries, fresh towels, so many options for body soap and even shampoo. All we had to do was just bring ourselves, some clothes and head down here literally! The decor of the studio was seriously to die for and don’t even get me started with the fireplace (OH MY)... this fireplace was the highlight of our mini weekend getaway because we had the luxury of enjoy a wine bottle and watching some Netflix during the night! The shower area was my most favorite because it had an open concept layout and was just the coolest thing ever. The location even was amazing with beautiful scenery and it was close to a downtown area called Woodstock! We were able to venture out to Woodstock and have a walk and even came by a liquor store that offers wine tastings on Saturdays (major plus!!!) My boyfriend and I were truly obsessed with this Airbnb and we hope to come back very soon! Thank you Chase for providing such great service and for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

    Marilyn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t have asked for a better experience !!! Place was perfect, clean, comfortable, close to Woodstock, not far from hunter mountain, perfect location. Definitely would recommend this place to anybody visiting the area

    Will2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cozy, bright, and cheerful. This was the perfect quick getaway from the city. The space was exactly as pictured and was perfect for a relaxing mini retreat. The space being heated by a gas stove made to look like a wood stove was super cute and cozy, the shower area was unique and artful (creates from reclaimed wood and such) and situated in an interesting location in the space. The creek right outside was a perfect view with so many windows looking out towards the trees and mountains. I definitely plan to return!

    Shoshana2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement is really cosy and we spent a really nice trip in the Catskills. Chase answered to all of our questions and was available when needed. Perfect.

    Guillaume2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and comfortable home! It was a great place to come back to after a day on the slopes. Liz and Chase are wonderful hosts and we will definitely be back.

    Heather2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here! The place is small, about the size of a hotel room, but it was perfect for two people. The backyard view of the mountains was beautiful. We used the grill to cook both nights and ate on the deck. During the day we went hiking, so many places nearby! It is also walking distance or a short drive to the downtown area. I would recommend this place!

  • Was great to get out of the city and get some fresh air. Good time of the year to visit. Very convenient and able to go out for a great walk. Everything we needed for our stay was provided for us including additional suggestions for what to do. Would definitely recommend for a stay and hoping to come back again another time!

  • My husband and I had a great weekend at V’s cottage; The place was very clean. V was also very accommodating in giving us suggestions as to where to go (since my husband and I were unfamiliar with Woodstock). I would highly recommend this cottage as a weekend getaway. G&K

  • We had a lovely time! The location is great-far enough away from town to feel secluded, but very walkable from the bus drop off. The space was stocked with everything we could imagine needing, and was super clean. Check in and out was very easy. We had a great time and can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

    Carolyn2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • V's place was so cute! It was everything as expected and a short drive to Tinker street. Will definitely want to stay again in the future!

    Sandra2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended this cute place which is very close to Tinker St. Easy check in & directions written around the place to help you feel at home. We had a question about using apple TV & host got back to us right away. Kitchen supplies available to make cooking in the space a breeze. Would stay again.

Awaken to an idyllic view of trees through timber-framed picture windows. Acclaimed social realist painter Reginald Marsh's family estate is known to be unique for Woodstock with its ball shaped junipers, a pond that brackets the house, expansive lawns, a gathering of birches and 100 year old cone shaped cedar trees. Today the former artist studio of the estate is an architect-renovated gem most recently featured at Icon Design Magazine Italy. The setting with a private waterfall bordering public preserves, as well as the attention to architectural detail is unique.
Start the day with breakfast under the hydrangea trees while goslings and blue heron comb the waters. Sit in the property's own Hidden Chair Waterfall or chill at the secluded sandy beach swim hole a one minute stroll away through enchanted woods, take a hike up Milk Mountain or up the trails of the neighboring nature preserve for a Sunday brunch in town and visit to the flea market. Or just hang in the birch hammock and read a good book under a cypress tree. THE POND HOUSE HAS UNDERGONE MAJOR RENOVATION. There are reviews from before renovation, as well as from 2016 when certain interior details were not yet finished. It is the 1930' Reginald Marsh artist studio building with 16' ceiling height and tall artist studio windows. It is an architect's home with a lot of attention to architectural detail, in a unique setting. As of 2017 interior renovation is complete, yet certain exterior details are not yet finished. There are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom overlooking the pond with floor to ceiling windows on three sides. The master bedroom is open to the staircase with a kid's room adjacent. The queen-size bedroom is next to the bathroom downstairs, adjacent to the pond with a glass facade and sliding doors to the staircase and bathroom. It's a very special junior room, with deer walking by the glass facade a few feet from the bed. You can watch ducks, herons, muskrats and other wildlife straight from bed, you will not be disappointed with the summer soundscape of this idyllic spot. The house comes with central A/C, an open floor plan, large architectural windows with sun light flooding in. If you travel with a child we can provide high-chair, crib, stair gate, baby bathtub upon request. The Pond House is on the same property as the Cottage House, see last photo for aerial view and http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/284669. The grounds and pond surrounding the Pond House are reserved for the Pond House. The Pond House feels very private, since two sides of the property are bordering preserves.
Idyllic, secluded setting bordering a public preserve, in short walking distance to the center of Woodstock. Two rental houses are separated by the main house, facing away from each other ensuring privacy. No other house is visible from inside the Pond House with its own designated back yard facing the pond. The swim hole is shared with the Carriage House, with a second, larger swim hole a short stroll through the woods away. An outdoor day bed overviews the legendary Indian Head mountain ridge.
  • The Pond House was an INCREDIBLE getaway and Nin was so warm and easy to communicate with. We stayed here during the covid-19 outbreak and i so appreciated her taking extra precaution to make sure we were practicing all social isolation rules before accepting my booking, as well as sharing her plans for disinfecting the house between guests -- it was so assuring to know we were on the same page, and this made me feel very comfortable given the strange circumstance. And the property the house sits on is GORGEOUS. The views from the master bed (so comfy) was breathtaking -- you literally fall asleep to the stars and wake up birdwatching over the pond from your bed. There are so many treasures to enjoy -- the rock by the waterfall, stream hike, fire pit..... so, so good! :)

    Rachel2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nin's place is so stylish and cozy. It is family friendly and great place to get the kids outside during the quarantine. They had contactless checkin and check out and the place was very clean. We felt safe and had a relaxing time. The grounds are beautiful and being on the creek gave us endless hours of playtime and relaxation. I would highly recommend staying there.

  • A wonderful place to escape city life!

    Michelle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nice chill spot. Big property smack in the middle of nature with a stream was a plus.

    Ryan2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous space and exceptional views. Loved all the unique pieces in the home. Bring an eye mask since there are no blinds/shades. We enjoyed our stay for our first trip with our infant daughter. Quick drive to town - we liked R&R tap room, Dixon roadside and bread alone. Check in was super easy. Wish check out was past 10am but other than that all was well. I’ve already shared the Airbnb link with so many of our friends.

The Space Experience an authentic bohemian Woodstock handmade house from the 60's, updated and modernized. Tucked away in the woods, yet minutes to town, you will enjoy both privacy and convenience while being in nature. Come relax in privacy and enjoy cocktails on your deck overlooking the forest. Wake up to the sound of birds and unwind in the soaking tub in your spacious bathroom. Take a walk down the country road...serenity and tranquility await you.
The History My father hand-built the house with stone and wood from the property in the early '60's. After serving in WW II, he studied art in Paris and then moved back to NYC where he became part of the No Art! Movement, and taught at the Art Student League. In the 70's, he escaped from NYC and moved my family upstate to live and continue his artistic endeavors. Growing up in Woodstock, it was natural for me to carry on the family tradition of artisan crafts. I have since maintained the unique character of his original efforts while renovating and modernizing the property. The house and the apartment showcase my father's character as well as unique pieces of his work and those of his contemporaries. Come and experience a taste of the real Woodstock.
  • Ben was very responsive and communicative! The Airbnb was very cute and in a great location! We had a great getaway from NYC.

  • Great place and exactly as advertised! Loved our stay at Benjamin's home and escape to Woodstock.

    Brooke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Benjamin's place is an awesome stay in a more than convenient location to Woodstock and the surrounding areas. We came from NYC to escape for the weekend and were not disappointed! I didn't want to get off the porch all night looking up at the bright stars in the night sky. Thank you for the stay!

    Sarah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay for a quiet retreat. The place is very clean and is just as described. It is minutes from downtown Woodstock and minutes from a great hiking location.

    Jennifer2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Benjamin's cute, homey apartment in Woodstock. The location was prime, privacy from neighbors in the middle of the woods (we had some fun watching the chipmunks and a deer roaming in the backyard), yet only a 5-7 minute drive to downtown. Self check in/check out was super easy and Benjamin was there to assist and answer any questions we had and had great recommendations for things to do in the area. The bed was very, very comfy and we each enjoyed taking a hot bath in the soaking tub after a long winter hike in the Catskills. The one negative thing is that the mini fridge is a little finicky and didn't keep our leftovers very well, but all the other amenities made up for it (he even had contact solution there). Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, tranquil getaway from the city!

    Brenna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, tidy place. Good coffee, nice bathroom, easy parking. Good communication from host. Shoveled our cars off after a big snowstorm

  • It was very easy to check-in. Benjamin thought of a lot of small details that made the stay seamless, like Keurig cups and mugs. It was simple, clean and elegant. Easy access to the main restaurants in the city and surrounding hiking trails.

Charming newly renovated cabin in the woods. Full kitchen & bath & wraparound deck. Brand new Macy’s sofa bed w/very firm mattress. Up the hill from Bearsville Theater, Bear Cafe, Commune & Little Bear Chinese restaurants; just down the hill from the Byrdcliffe barn & theater. Five minutes by car to center of town. Peaceful & quiet, with easy access to any Woodstock offering that strikes your fancy--music, art, shopping, hiking, swimming, drumming, meditation--or just hanging out on the deck.
Our cabin is all newly renovated, with full kitchen and bath and large wraparound deck. We are in the woods, where it is peaceful and quiet and is home to deer, raccoons, wild turkey, birds, squirrels and chipmunks, peepers, and even the occasional bear. With all this we are only minutes away from restaurants, theaters and shopping, hiking and swimming, and Tibetan monastery. Going further afield, there are many other towns to explore in this area, including antiquing centers (Hudson); as well as historic homes (FDR's Hyde Park, for one); the early government buildings in Kingston (the first capital of NY State); the old stone houses on Huguenot Street in New Paltz, beautiful Bard College Campus with its wonderful concerts and performances; Hunter and Tannersville, with their ski slopes and chair lifts; beautiful North Lake State Park, with its two large swimming and boating lakes and spectacular vistas; and nearby dramatic Haines Falls.

  • We had a great stay. Susan is very quick in responding. The wifi works really well. The cabin was very clean. We would have preferred a true bed (rather than an expandable couch) but for a short stay it is fine.

    Yana2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a quiet cabin in the woods. Although other houses are nearby, you can’t really see/hear them from the front deck so you do feel like you are in a secluded spot. It’s a very relaxing place to hear the birds and frogs in the nearby pond, with great walks in the area. The pull out couch is pretty comfy, but as other reviewers have said the mattress is firm so just something to consider if a plush mattress is important to you.

    Andrew2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • A very beautiful guest house adjacent to the main house. The place was sparkling clean and charming with great interior design and comfy wrap around deck with cute little wooden bridge. Even though we showed up right after the snowfall and the hosts were not on property drive way and parking space were well plowed so that we did not have an issue getting in or out. Location is a fairly short drive from local stores and major Catskills through ways which makes it available to use as a short weekend retreat as well as a base for skiing trips. Overall loved the place and will definitely recommend it.

    Mikhail2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I really enjoyed our winter stay in Susan's cabin. Very warm and comfy. Great location, able to get seclusion but at the same time be only a few minutes away from the main area in Woodstock with shops and great places to eat. Susan was very responsive and great host. Definitely recommend this place if looking for a upstate New York getaway.

    Sean2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's cabin was super cozy and clean, with all the simple necessities. We had fun cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, and the deck space was incredibly peaceful. The location is great as well, it feels secluded, but is only a five minute drive to town, the grocery store, restaurants, etc.

    Masha2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect and the cabin in beautiful.

White house surrounded by forest on the edge of Bearsville. Up a long, winding driveway, to a secluded clearing lies Ophelia. A magical house with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings and over 40 windows looking out onto an unspoiled landscape.
This is a classic "Woodstock" house, on the edge of Bearsville, once used as an artist studio, with a big north facing picture window in the great room that provides a stunning view of the forest surrounding the house. The house is 2,000 sq. ft. and each room in the house has it's own unique character. There are two sitting rooms for spreading out. The cozy den houses the TV and is great for hosting movie nights. The sun room is surrounded by windows and is the best room in house for diving into a book or taking a nap. As with many houses in Woodstock, Ophelia has it's share of history. A previous owner was the manager for The Band, the seminal rock group that formed in Woodstock in the late 1960's. The photoshoot for their album Stage Fright (Norman Seeff photographer), took place in the den. The image which became a wrap around poster covering the album, is a recognizable piece classic of rock history. The house borders the old Albert Grossman property and word has it that artists and musicians from Dylan to Ginsburg to Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters spent time on the property. The house recently went through a gut renovation and features a professional chef's kitchen and a large comfortable bathroom with a soaking tub. Both bedrooms have picture windows looking out into the woods and skylights where you can look at the stars while falling asleep. There is a King Size Keetsa bed in the master bedroom and a Queen Size bed in the guest bedroom. There are 2 additional mattresses that can be set up in the Den which features french doors that close, making it a private 3rd bedroom for a 5th and 6th guest. A flagstone deck has been added recently that looks out onto the firepit. A hammock and several Adirondack chairs dot the property. Watch movies on the 55" flat panel in the den, or lay on the sofa in the sun room and watch the deer wander across the yard. Consider renting if your looking for a secluded, private getaway on a gorgeous piece of property.
Woodstock, also known as the most famous small town in America, and its surrounding villages in the Catskills are simply one of most beautiful areas in the entire country. Visiting for a weekend or a week should be on everyone's bucket list. Book well in advance for the Midnight Ramble, a local gathering of world class musicians and take part in the weekend drum circles in the center of town (drum rentals are available starting in the early afternoon). Also check out the Buddhist Monastery which overlooks the town high up in the hills. The Dalai Lama visits when he comes to the US and it's a very special and spiritual place to experience.
  • We spend great family gateway weekend at Ophelia house even when all restaurants and art places in Woodstock was closed. There is always a nature to enjoy it.

We offer a private studio apartment located on the second floor of this wonderfully restored 2 unit carriage house, built in the early roarin' 20's! It offers a blend of modern amenities, with more traditional countryside accents. The traditional design of the studio allows light to pour through the apartment, while making adjustments for sleeping in easy. This truly unique space is a perfect place to take a weekend to relax, and enjoy our exterior grounds!
  • Cozy space, close to town and hiking trails, with all the cooking supplies you’d need. The shower is a bit small (probably 3x3), just in case that’s important to you, but everything was spotless and really comfortable!

The perfect cozy cottage for a romantic getaway...or just to get away. Walking distance to the quaint and funky town of Woodstock. Enjoy coffee or cocktails right on the stream on the back deck or underneath the grape-vined pergola. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the stream and wake up to the beautiful songbirds. Have a BBQ in the lush garden or sit around the fire pit and toast marshmallows. 2% Ulster County tax included. Unfortunately, the indoor fireplace is not working at this time.

It quaint, super cozy, warm upon entry (we came first truly cold weekend of season), sits in the forest with a babbling brook running right off the back bedroom and deck! And you are walking distance to everything, you will never need your car to get anywhere in town. The owners are beyond prepared for their guests, super responsive. We will be back. This place made a short list of places that we must return to!

So close to town - we walked to restaurants, music, bars and museums, yet this awesome little cottage was down a quiet lane on a stream and seemed like miles away from the center of town. Historic Byrdcliffe artist's retreat. As part of the original Byrdcliffe Arts Colony est. in 1902 ... it is located on Guardian Mountain in the middle of Woodstock and has been a wildlife preserve for over 100 years. Peace, quiet and creativity in the Heart of the Catskills. Breathe fresh air & see the stars. Perfect for nature lovers, artists and hikers. Everyone is welcome!
There are 3 bedrooms located in a guest suite attached to the main house with its own entrances, patio and grounds. • Gillian’s place is amazing! It’s super close to town but at the end of a dead-end road. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere and it’s wonderful. She had thoughtful touches like leaving out cookies and having milk in the fridge. The beds were super comfortable and we were plenty warm. I would definitely stay with Gillian again in the future.

My boyfriend and I loved the little stone sitting area in the apartment, it was really cozy and warm and we had a great time drinking wine and playing cards after playing out in the snow in the surrounding property for a few hours. • My stay at the Aster suite was wonderful. The suite has a very warm and comfortable environment to it and it welcomed me as soon as I entered the door. Everything that I needed for my stay was available to me in the suite and that was great. Also the balcony view of the town you get from the suite is amazing. It was nice to sit up there and look out on the town of Woodstock. Ann and Dave were very helpful and quick to respond on any questions I had and that made my stay even better. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have an enjoyable place to stay that is located right in the center of Woodstock.

  • The Hotel Woodstock is the perfect pit stop! We stayed the night after a long trip from Boston to see a concert at Levon Helm's Studio. It was just what we needed. Close to everything and easy check in check out. Try Shindig for breakfast (a close walk). The room is wonderful and the balcony is exactly where you want to be after breakfast.

  • This place is as beautiful as described. The Overlook trail just 5 minute drive away was breathtaking and a dip in the hot tub followed by sitting by the fire made for the most relaxing ending to the day. Our host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

    Shannon2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jill & Kerry's place was excellent. The house was as described, communication was great, and the place was so comfortable for a weekend getaway. Fireplaces, hot tubs and sauna? Oh hell yeah. Beautiful views as well. Highly recommended.

    Scott2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful area, charming and comfortable house. Sauna is awesome. Jack was a very accommodating host and got us everything we needed. Would stay here again.

  • This was a fantastic place for our long Thanksgiving weekend in the Catskills. Location was perfect, close to Woodstock village, hiking and some access to the rest of the region ( Overlook and Opus 40 the highlights) . The house itself was set up well for it family of four. The combination of the pool table, hot tub, vinyl collection and sauna meant everyone was happy. We cooked for 9 one night and the kitchen was well supplied with dishes and pots to handle it. Host was amazingly attentive at all states including a minor technical problem. Would definitely stay here again.

    Jonathan2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A gem!!!! Incredible , cozy, stunning , funky house with beautiful Mountain View. We absolutely loved the fire place and hot tub!! The hosts were wonderful. Go!

Quiet, country road. Many hiking trails. Two minutes down the mountain to the town of Woodstock.
  • Suki’s cottage is an absolutely spectacular space in Woodstock (10 minute walk from mainstreet). She and her husband built the cottage and the craftsmanship is absolutely excellent - it’s an architecturally amazing space (the pictures do not do it justice)! In it there is a great radio set on relaxing classical music, tons of board games, excellent books (I loved the one on French Impressionism!) and a FULLY stocked kitchen. She even provided us with spices we needed that we didn’t have to make dishes. The space is wonderful and relaxing, sparkling clean and excellent internet and streaming TV. But what’s most important is the experience Suki provides. She allows you to make a fire and gives you supplies for s’mores on the property, we stayed over Easter and she brought us a great basket with eggs, she forages and gave us fresh wild ramps. She has recommendations for excellent hikes (don’t miss snake rocks). In summary, I have stayed at over 100 Airbnb’s and this is in the top 3 I have ever stayed at. Thanks Suki! I recommend this space to anyone without hesitation!!!

    Evan2020-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week at the cottage and our one regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Suki was an exceptional host from beginning to end, and we truly appreciated the kindness, thoughtfulness, and creativity that she and Tim put into building the cottage and surrounding grounds. (We loved the fire pit, especially!) Location was great as the property felt secluded but was just a short drive to town and the Ashokan reservoir. Needless to say, Suki was incredibly responsive and attentive throughout our stay and made sure we felt at home. We’d highly recommend the cottage and hope to return ourselves sometime soon!

    Michelle2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the cottage was magical. Suki was an outstanding host. She made the most incredible apple pie. We can’t wait to go back!

    Esther2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Suki is a wonderful host. We arrived late and she stayed up to greet us and make us feel welcome and at home. We were both so touched by the warmth of welcome. She has made the cottage cozy, inviting and restful. You have everything you need to take a break away from the hustle and bustle. Everything is there that you might need. It’s just so peaceful. The surrounding grounds are stunning and the walk across the bridge to the cottage is a beautiful thing to experience. Oh, and when I sprained my ankle, Suki so kindly and generously sent me home with tons of bandages. Her kindness is palpable - she really wants you to have a great stay. We loved staying at Grapevine Cottage and we will definitely be back!

    Laila2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I just got back from a long weekend at grapevine cottage and we had an absolutely amazing experience. I would highly recommend booking! We were greeted by Suki right as we pulled up, and she continued to be a gracious, responsive host right up until we left. She had some great recommendations for eating out in the area, and she even gave us some homemade chocolate covered stuffed strawberries as a special Valentine's Day treat. The grounds are beautiful, so I hope to be back when it's a little warmer to take advantage of the pool and outdoor spaces. We saw deer in the morning and stars at night. Suki's house is on the opposite side of the property, so she's nearby if you need her, but it also allows for a really nice amount of privacy and quiet. The highlight of the trip was the cottage itself. The space is so bright and airy with a cozy couch, well-stocked kitchen, heated floors (my personal favorite, haha), quirky artwork and books, fast wi-fi, and just good vibes in general. It looks just as nice as it does in the photos and was even a tiny bit bigger than I expected. The bed was firmer than I'm used to, but still very clean and comfortable. I would book again in a heartbeat.

    Lee2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Suki's place is one of a kind. We will deffinelty be back as soon as we can. She's a beautiful person and I'm happy we had a chance to connect with her and spend some time talking. Suki & Tim have create an experience that you will always remember. Thank you for this!

    Adam2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was absolutely perfect getaway location. Suki is an amazing host and the place was better than I expected. Such a peace stay. I’d highly recommend it to anyone.

  • Second time at Thea’s place and it was as fantastic as the first time.

  • Lovely little place. Really close to all the restaurants and shops in Woodstock. Great host!

    Eldad2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thea’s place is a cozy and inspiring space in the heart of Woodstock. We had everything we needed for a perfect weekend getaway! Highly recommend.

    Vika2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Theas’ place. We were a group of 5 looking for a quiet getaway where we could reconnect and relax and Woodstock was the perfect place. We spent the day walking around town, visiting shops, and eating and drinking our way through the great bars and restaurants. Theas’ home is gorgeous and filled with amazing décor—we kept saying that we couldn’t wait until we had a home like this one day! Although we only stayed two nights it was a well-needed experience. The sun room and neighboring goats were our favorite parts!

    Caroline2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place has a lot of character: the sun room is gorgeous, the living room with hundreds of books feels like in the movies. It’s a very close walk to Tinker street shops and cafes. We had a wonderful time staying in Thea’s cozy place!

    Dina2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay when trying to escape the city life. Thea pretty much has any amenity you could think of in her house. The fire place adds a great romantic touch and will be sure to stay again. Easy 40 min drive to hunter mountain

    Stephen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Thea's house is lovely. Although there's only one official bedroom, it's larger than we expected, and more space than we needed for two people. It's well decorated and incredibly comfortable. If you are looking for an airbnb that feels like a hotel, this is not the place, Thea has not cleared out the house for guests. But we really preferred that this was clearly someone's actual home, not a soul-less investment property. We would love to stay there again!

    Nicolette2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A truly charming cottage-style home only minutes from the center of Woodstock! I loved how surprisingly big the house was (way bigger than any other Airbnb I've stayed in, for a similar price) as well as the unique vintage touches everywhere. The working fireplace is perfect for the winter too!

  • Paula's cottage is a lovely space for a nice getaway. It's a charming home and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great - a nice short walk to the main streets with restaurants, bars, and shopping. I highly recommend.

    Jason2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Paula's place is EXCEPTIONALLY clean and I feel like that in itself makes this worth a 5 star rating. It is also decorated very tastefully and gives off such a zen vibe with all the little details. We came from the city to get away from the craziness but also as city dwellers we needed to be near things ..this was the most perfect balance of the two, being right near tinker street without feeling like you're near anything.

    Katerina2020-02-15T00:00:00Z

  • What a beautiful, secluded, healing nook in the Woodstock artist community! The pool/sauna/hot tub access was a great bonus to relax and unwind. We appreciate all of the decorative touches and the overall peaceful atmosphere. Lio was very responsive whenever we needed anything & there was ample access to coffee, food & wine/beer just a few steps outside. The Indian food up the street (Mountain Gate) was absolutely stellar, we eat a lot of Indian food back home & were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant’s flavors. We’ll be back to this wonderful shangri-la as well as to hike up the the monastery near by. We highly recommend it to any folks who are looking for a nice, peaceful reset.

    Maza2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a super cool place, relaxing and hidden away yet near all the loveliness that downtown Woodstock has to offer. We had an easy check in and a stay that was private and full of solitude - but someone was always around if we needed anything. But we didn't - everything we could ask for was already there, and all we had to to was relax and rest. A little piece of paradise in the Catskills. Thank you Lio and Sharon!!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Jenne’s. The cabin is very charming with large windows overlooking a beautiful stream and waterfall. Kitchen and bathroom both very stylish. Close to downtown Woodstock but removed. We “worked from home” from the cabin, and the wifi and cell phone service were both very good.

    Allie2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property! You can hear and see the waterfall clearly. It was awesome sipping coffee or wine with the view. Close to town!

    Dina2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jenne’s place was lovely. We drove up and were taken back with how beautiful the surrounding landscape was; it’s even better than pictured & advertised, believe it or not. The space was cozy, clean, comfortable and modern while offering the perfect amount of space and helpful local tips for a traveling couple to relax and enjoy the area. It’s just a few minutes from town, Levon Helm Studios and local trails. We’d hands down stay again and will be recommending a trip to others as well!

    Chris2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great locale - very close to everything. Very clean. Easy check-in. Will be back!

    Nick2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a second great stay with Jenne- the view of the waterfall/stream is unbeatable from the hideaway. A perfect weekend escape! Thank you Jenne!

    Kaylan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend stay at Jenne’s cozy hideaway cottage. The location is super close to central Woodstock yet is a serene setting with a gorgeous view of a dabbling mountain stream. Jenne was quick to help and has thoughtful touches around the cabin. We are definitely returning (we booked before we even left!). Thank you Jenne!

    Kaylan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jennie, is the most generous caring host out there. She had contacted me days before to offer me a refund if I changed my mind upon coming due to a snow storm that was coming...how nice is that? I reassured her me and my husband couldn’t wait even if snowed in. Her cabin is amazing! The views from the kitchen huge window, the view from the bathtub, the heated floors, the step up bed....I mean it was as cozy as you can hope for. Clean, cozy warm and relaxing. We are definitely coming back. Plus close to Woodstock town, and all the trails. You won’t be sorry. We loved it.

    Floriana2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

Woodstock NY- Welcome to “America’s most famous small town.” Ironically, the 1969 music festival happened in Bethel 43 miles up the road. Nevertheless Woodstock pays great homage that legacy. This wonderful town is a hotbed of artisan delights - live, inspired art and culinary wonder. Main street is the quintessential American small town; lovely shops, clapboard sided churches, an old-fashioned Village Green where residents and visitors gather for events, talk, people watching, and quench that thirst for that “good old days” feeling that modern day suburbia has paved over. Surrounding this classic conventional small town exterior is the unsurpassed beauty of Mother Nature. Her mountains, streams, lakes and waterfalls release the creativity in all who reside here - from local tradespeople (stone masons and furniture makers) to the artists (screenwriters, composers, actors, printmakers, painters, photographers, filmmakers, poets, novelists) and of course our beloved musicians – from the not so famous, to the those whose recordings most likely shuffle in your iTunes, to just "us regular folk" who thrive being surrounded by all this amazing energy. It is this laid-back convergence, which gives Woodstock its individuality. Woodstock is a place of learning and growth. Spend some time here and you’ll soon find yourself sitting in one of the restaurants in town, greeting friends as they come in and holding an impromptu salon on a hot topic of the day. But if you prefer to simply be left alone with your thoughts or to collect rocks from the stream in your back yard, this is place to do all of that. Leave your car at home and take the Adirondack Trailways Bus to the village green in Woodstock. From there we are an easy walk. We also offer private off-street parking for up to two vehicles. Unwind from the day, grab your favorite beverage and gather around our grand fire pit for a campfire, stargazing and smores!

  • Wonderful spot out in the woods, on a lovely wildlife sanctuary, yet a short walk into Woodstock. Literally no car travel needed to get you to all that Woodstock has to offer - shopping, food, bars, trails. A lovey escape in the Catskills for a small family.

  • Spacious, cozy cabin

    Chloe2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing stay here. It was close to town and had everything we needed. We plan on staying again in the warmer months

    Michael2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, quiet, cozy cabin close enough to the center of Woodstock but still nestled in the woods. The hosts were welcoming and easy to communicate with. We travel to the Catskills a few times a year and this was one of our favorite cabins!

    Robyn2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The best part about staying at the cabin was the location, just a few minutes from many attractions. The property is very private and it’s dog friendly. Darin and his family were amazing hosts and were very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this cabin!!

    Melissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, sleeps 6 comfortably. Darin is the man. Will stay again if back in Woodstock for sure

    Oliver2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely spot. We were only there for a night but would definitely return. Close to town (we walked in) but just far enough out that it felt quiet and relaxed. The space was clean and sunny and the grounds were beautiful. I would certainly recommend it.

    Marcie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Darin was so friendly and hospitable! Had great recommendations for local spots to check out, both for food and live music. Short walk into town and even shorter drive. Nice secluded spot, perfect if you’re looking for some peace and quiet without sacrificing any comforts or conveniences. We will be back!

    Chris2020-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate on booking this charming little spot. If you want a true cabin feel this is absolutely it. We came up for a few days to hike in the Catskills. The fire pit was awesome to sit by and enjoy some drinks and late night conversations after dark. We especially loved listening to a bunch of the records when we woke up to make breakfast or were cooking dinner. I had a question about check in because we didn’t have service and Jessica responded immediately. Id love to come back here for another getaway.

  • This is a truly charming little cabin! It’s furnished with many musical instruments which we loved playing. The interior is great and handcrafted with style. There are lovely woods to walk on the property.

Quirky 3 bedroom cottage built in 1927 and lovingly updated over the last 15 years. Only a few minutes from town, but hidden away in the woods with fabulous views of Overlook Mountain from our large deck. Perfect for 2 couples or a family with kids.
We love to entertain - our kitchen is newly remodeled and well equipped. There's a charcoal grill and a large table out on the deck, as well as a hammock and lounge chairs. Dig around in the cabinets in the kitchen and you'll find everything you need. You can hear the distant drum circle on a Sunday afternoon but other than that, just the birds, frogs and cicadas. We've seen owls, eagles, woodpeckers and all kinds of warblers from our kitchen window, also deer, foxes and gangs of roving turkeys! There are trees to climb, corn hole, speedminton and other games to play and a big thinking rock. There are places to swim a short drive away when you need to cool off. Our home is relaxed and easy going, lots of books, games and a TV and a DVD player with movies, Netflix but no cable - the perfect escape from a busy week. Simple and cozy.
A few places to go nearby: The Comeau: Lovely land owned by the town with 2 miles of trails that take you through the woods and down alongside the creek. Drive through town on Rte 212 towards Bearsville and take Comeau Drive on the left after the Woodstock Apothecary. Park up at the top and follow the trail. The Big Deep: Hidden away in the woods, opposite Gallo’s nursery on Rte 212 towards Sauugerties, this is Woodstock’s famous swimming hole – take the lane after Casablanca Lane and park in the trees. It’s not actually that deep, but a sharp bend in the river has created a natural swimming hole. Families by day, kids and hippies by night. Take bug spray, and please take out anything you bring in. Tinker Street Cinema: Old school cinema on Rte 212 towards Bearsville. Only one screen, it’s a bit rickety, but totally charming and worth a trip. Houst and Sons: Simply the best hardware store in the world. Go. Weekend Flea Market (and Wednesdays in the summer): On the field behind Houst’s and Bread Alone. Lots of great junk and treasure, Farmer's market and sometimes food stands. Drum Circle: Every Sunday 2-4 the drums are beaten and anyone can join in. There’s a big box of instruments if you didn’t pack a bongo. Festivals: We have the Book Festival, the Writers’ Festival, the Guitar Festival, the Film Festival, the Fringe Festival, the Tattoo Festival and many more, almost every weekend there’s something to be festive about. Check The Woodstock Times or www.hudsonvalleyone.com for more info. Opus 40: Zena Road, on the way to Saugerties. Gorgeous stone ramps and dead ends in Harvey Fite’s would be sculpture park. He spent 40 years building the park and never actually got around to sculpting again. Byrdcliffe: Site of the first incarnation of Woodstock as an artist’s colony in the 1920s. For the kids: There’s a new playground at the Woodstock Elementary School which is open to all. Up at Andy Lee Field on Rock City Road just past the cemetery is another playground, ballfields, tennis courts and basketball courts. Also a skate park, but you will have to register with an adult to attend. Tinker Toys in town is the toy shop your kids will never want to leave. A little further afield: Phoenicia: Great little town about 25 minutes drive up Rte 28. In the summer, famous for it’s Tinker Town Rentals- tubing down the Esopus (kids must be over 12). Plenty of great hikes nearby and a quaint town center with shopping and good food. The Phoenicia Diner: Definitely a finer diner, just breakfast and lunch, long lines but well worth the trip, farm to table, no-nonsense. Sweet Sue’s: Probably the best brunch this side of the Hudson. Debbie Harry used to be a waitress here. Brio's: Pizza, sandwiches, burgers and extraordinarily great cakes. Saugerties: Slightly bigger than Woodstock, and a bit of antiqueing center. Lots of nice restaurants and cafes. Worth walking down to the “town beach” which sits on the edge of the Esopus. Miss Lucy’s Café: great family food, lovely environment. North South Lake: Haines Falls. State Park High up in the mountains, beautiful lakes with boating, swimming and hikes up to incredible views across the Hudson Valley. You’ll drive past Kaaterskill Falls on the way – spectacular and easy to get to. Pine Hill Lake: Rte 28 at BelleAyre. Old school lake recreation ground, perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day with lifeguards, but you can park outside and walk in the rest of the year. Places to Eat in Woodstock: Cucina: Modern, Italian, delicious food and great cocktails. Huge place, but it gets busy. Worth booking. Great brunch too. Joshua’s: Israeli-American food, hearty and tasty. Coffee bar upstairs Bread Alone: Wonderful breads, pastries, coffees and lunches. Maria’s: across the road from Bread Alone, tucked behind the Christmas shop – café and deli, good place to get food for your picnic. Oriole 9: Modern American, farm to table menu. Really good coffee. Sylvia: New addition, fine dining - pricey but delicious. In the historic Joyous Lake building. The Colony Cafe: Great music venue with bar and dining. Check out listings or just rock up on Rock City Road.
  • Great place and great location. Would absolutely stay again when I’m back in Woodstock

  • This was a great little place very near the town center of Woodstock. We stayed to go to a show at the Levon Helms Studio. We were very pleased with our stay. The record player was a great treat! I'd love to stay again if we find ourselves back in Woodstock.

  • Victoria's place is absolutely wonderful, lots of space around the house and the house itself has great personality and a fantastic kitchen. The fireplace made us feel really cozy and it was very comfortable for 5 people. Victoria is a really responsive and communicative host and our stay was really fun and memorable. Thanks, Victoria!

    Kate2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • This house is truly a gem. Gorgeous views in a cozy setting close to the heart of Woodstock. We especially loved the fireplace in the evening and morning coffee on the deck. Would come back!

    Maria2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cutest home for an upstate getaway. It’s only about a mile from town which made eating/hiking a breeze. We loved the record player (and abundance of records), fireplace and cozy living room. Would definitely come back.

    Michelle2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very enjoyable stay at Victoria's place in Woodstock. The local guide was helpful and the location made for very easy access into the town (while still being very private and peaceful). Communication was excellent and Victoria was able to help us out with an issue even from far away.

    Jonathan2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is delightful. It was everything we needed in a place - quiet, cozy, and stocked with toys to occupy our children. The location is perfect too. It's very close to town yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this house!

Chalet set on 9 acres providing serene tranquility and total privacy. Includes all comforts of modern living, this is the place to either get away from it all, or to celebrate an unforgettable get-together with friends and family.
Le Colibri offers arguably the most spectacular views in the Catskills. The photos give you a sense, but to really appreciate their splendor you have to come and see for yourself - you are sitting on the top of the world. The only other sign of civilization are some sparkling lights at night, on Overlook Mountain, across the valley. Nobody can see you, and you are surrounded by nature's splendor. Le Colibri is what you hope to find after a long hike - except here you arrive via a private, majestic drive-way. We cherish Le Colibri paradox: Even though you are fully immersed in nature, you are only a three minute drive away from enchanting Woodstock. The village is welcoming and fun in its decidedly alternative spirit. Good restaurants, cafes and boutiques abound, the pace is leisurely and the people of Woodstock are chatty. Enjoy a stroll down Tinker Street while listening to live music and relishing the town's 'Sixties' spirit, all the while spotting the occasional celebrity - back in the day Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston would summer down the road from Le Colibri. Woodstock is the home of many artists and musicians and increasingly being discovered by the hip and trendy. So whether you just want to buy the paper in the morning, dip down to town for a lunch or dinner, or knock on Valerie's door to pick-up a home-baked strawberry-rhubarb pie, the village is right there for you, and who knows who you might bump into? Le Colibri consists of a three-story Main House and a separate two story Spa House. The two are connected by a large deck featuring a generous pool (open from mid-May through Nov. 1st). The pool is heated (solar and with electric back-up), but the seasons dictate the pool temperature, so before June 1st and after September 30th only the hearty souls swim. The deck is made of high-end composite - so no splinters! - and features a large grill station. The grill is connected to the house gas, so no fiddling with gas bottles or worrying about running out of gas. The deck furniture includes two mahogany pool lounges, a dining table with a large umbrella, an Adirondack seating group for four and a hammock. The entrance to the Main House welcomes you with its cathedral ceiling. Off the entrance is the entertainment room, with a working fireplace, a brand new 60' Samsung HD TV, couches, an alcoved home office (with our powerful wireless router), a wide-plank wooden floor, and a terrace to sit and enjoy the view. Behind the entertainment room is the ground floor bedroom featuring French doors and a hand-made, solid cherry Le Grange bed. We recently added a Porcelanosa bathroom, turning this into a lovely mini-suite. A grand staircase leads up to the second floor, opening onto the living room which has a another working fireplace, an ample leather couch and chairs, a music and library alcove and magnificent views. The living room opens onto the generous kitchen with its modern appliances, including an induction stove-top, an oven and two refrigerators (main and beverages). The kitchen is fully equipped, and has ample cabinet space. It is framed by a counter island with high-chair seating for four, and a dining alcove with a beautiful dining table and spectacular mountain views. Also off the living room is a wooden terrace, the perfect place to sit in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the sun rise over the Hudson Valley. On clear days you can see as far as the Berkshires - we are in the Catskills! Behind the living room are two lovely bedrooms. One features a charming four-post Queen-size bed (shown in the photos) and looks out over the pool area. The bedroom next to it is the same size (also with a Queen size bed) and looks onto the garden and Bocci court. The second bathroom (shown), with its modern design, is right across from the bedrooms. A spiral staircase brings you up to the generously proportioned Master Bedroom under the roof. The MB features a new, natural-fiber King size mattress (all mattresses in the house are new and natural fiber), ample closet and storage space and a TV. En suite is the beautiful and bright Master Bathroom with a bubble-stream tub and a natural-light flooded shower. Making your way back down and across the pool deck will take you to the Spa-House - and here you are in for a treat, the piece-de-resistance! The grand room is dominated by luxurious leather couches and walls of windows granting 180 degree views. Sink into these chairs with a good glass of wine and you know that this world is not such a bad place after all. In the summer you can open four large French doors and enjoy the breeze and the sound of silence - or listen to your favorite music on the ample stereo system. The grand room of the Spa House has its own terrace with a full range of magnificent Catskill mountains views. Downstairs from the grand room is the large, fully tiled garage. The original owner of the property, a modern gentleman, kept his 1976 Rolls Royce convertible here. You can still use it as a garage, especially in the winter. But chances are, you will have too much fun playing pool on the perfectly kept pool table or exercising on the gym equipment to even notice that it is meant as a garage. Outside you'll find a vast, open lawn with two beautiful birch trees, tremendous oak trees standing sentinel, and of course the stroll down to our private pond. The pond is situated in the lower part of the property, almost tucked away, and very much in its own, unperturbed world. This is the magic garden where you expect a fairy to whisper sweet secrets into your ear at any moment. Take the kids for a row boat ride on the pond. Watch the leisurely gold fish. Have a picnic at the shaded table with your bare feet caressed by the deep, lush moss. Feel eternity and timelessness. Back at the house, the Bocci court beckons, and the beautiful garden. But maybe your favorite thing to do will be to sit on the cushions by the outdoor fire pit, see the sparks fly into night and take in the glow of the mountains. Winter: Skiing: Hunter and Belleayre 30-40 minutes drive. Magnificent cross-country trails nearby. Please note that the drive-way is sloped. While we will have it plowed and sanded for you, please be prepared and bring snow chains for your tires.
  • What a lovely place!! Enjoyed every minute there and would definitely go back one day :)

  • This house was a dream! The property was huge and gorgeous. The views were magnificent, especially from the pool deck which connects the main house and the spa house. The spa house was a really awesome. It has tons of windows with a gorgeous view. A large area full of books, records, instruments, and couches. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fire pit, playing bocci ball, and going for walks to the pond. I would love to go back there and recommend to anyone traveling to Woodstock! Great house!!!

    Alyssa2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This house is stellar, and worth every penny. It's only a few minutes from downtown Woodstock, but we had little desire to leave the property, with its exquisite views of the rolling hills, an epic pool, beautiful landscaping, and other onsite features (fire pit, pond, etc.). Seriously magical. Our only hiccup was a pump that went out in the downstairs bathroom, but Rachel was instantly responsive (as always) and had a plumber out to us within a few hours. Highly recommended.

    Barrett2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This home is exceptional. I was at peace as I sat by the pond, I was swaying to the music in the creative room, I felt the warmth while cooking dinner and I enjoyed every moment I spent here. Peace and love, Sebastian.

    Sebastian2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The pool is spectacular and there are tons of spots for togetherness or solitude. Excellent home, set up, comfort and gorgeous surroundings! Well worth it!

  • Great place, stylish indoor decortication, beautiful view of the waterfall!!

  • Beautiful home and location. Very comfortable & clean. The fireplace makes the home super cozy, there’s wood available, but you need to buy the fire lighter fluid or the fire starter logs to get the fire started. Also, WiFi didn’t work for us so wasn’t able to use the Netflix.

    Petre2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed the weekend with our dog. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was quiet. Our host responded quickly.

  • Great location and scenery

    Mely2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Just absolutely lovely, very clean. Perfect cozy cabin quite literally one block from Main Street just up the hill. Check in was very quick, much like a hotels but not stressful or busy at all. So much better is that the lodge where you check-in is a fully stocked cafe and shop with local sellers. Roaring fireplace at your own actual private cabin, with view of waterfall, it’s own full kitchen, a comfortable king size bed and a warm, clean bathroom. Not much more to say, perfect.

    Alyssa2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy cabin in a perfect location. Walking distance to just about everything! We had a great time playing board games and listening to music next to a fire.

    Amber2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and cute little spot!

    Lindsey2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my stay at the Waterfall Cabin at the Woodstock Way Hotel. This cabin is the best fit for a solo trip to unplug or a romantic getaway. It was the perfect combination of feeling remote while providing access to all the most important hotel amenities. Their staff is lovely & attentive, I loved the complimentary coffee & tea bar every morning, and the surrounding town is truly charming. Pro tip: grab brunch at ShinDig (same owners) for the most delicious pancakes you’ve ever tasted. Fabulous stay! I’ll definitely be back.

  • Alex & Kara’s place was amazing. I came here to celebrate my birthday with a friend. The hot tub was so nice, especially at night time. And the robes and slippers were perfect for keeping us warm going to and from the hot tub. They answered all my questions promptly and were amazing hosts. They even made us breakfast in the morning before we left. I would definitely recommend staying here! :)

We offer a private studio apartment located on the first floor of this wonderfully restored 2 unit carriage house, built in the early roarin' 20's! It offers a blend of modern decor and amenities, with more traditional countryside accents. The design, using the original carriage doors in the architecture, allows light to pour through the apartment, while making adjustments for sleeping in easy. This truly unique space is a perfect place to take a weekend to relax, and even enjoy our grounds!

The Dutch Touch captures the best Woodstock has to offer. Be in the Village and secluded at the same time! This Woodstock treasure is surrounded by gardens, with Monet-worthy views, peaceful mountains and swaying pines. It’s your cozy and peaceful home away from home, yet only a short, pretty walk to the very center of the village. Dutch Touch is the "brain-child" of artist, Manette van Hamel, an early Woodstock arts colony resident whose work is held in the permanent collection of the Met. The kind of place one would expect an artist to build: Perfect for a romantic get-a-way or solo retreat. Recline on your own deck beside a sparkling stream, soak up the sun, read a good book, or walk into town and visit the galleries and shops, or zip up the mountain for hikes, a visit to the Buddhist Monastery or a tour of the Byrdcliffe arts colony. Winter visitors will love the open fireplace, and the fresh winter scent of forest, hearth and home.
The cottage is walking distance from town. There are neighbors, but the place is totally private, and away from the road.
  • Location was nice and quiet, yet not too far from town for convenient access to restaurants and groceries. Perfect camp for a day hike. Very relaxing with the open feeling of the cabin and the view of the stream.

    Daniel2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Martine’s place is great, quiet and comfy. If you are looking for a nice relaxing weekend close to talk, hiking or just relaxing on the deck this is the perfect place for you!! Definitely will visit again!

    Barb2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect space for us! The little house was on her beautiful property, with tons of space for the dog to run around. The cottage was decorated beautifully, and had everything we needed for a weekend in Woodstock. It was only a short walk into town, but felt like we were way out in the country. The fireplace on the cold winter nights was perfect.

    Rachel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time on a quick post-Valentines day trip with my fiancée and dog. The place was the perfect location, just a short walk downtown. We had sunlight, good space, and Martine'very friendly energetic pup.

    Mark2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was everything we had hoped for - cozy, quiet, great location. We did have issues operating the heater the first night, but Martine was prompt at reaching out to find a solution to help us out. She was also great at checking in via text to see if we needed anything during our stay. I highly recommend staying at this unique and charming cottage!

    Sam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Photos don’t do this place justice. It’s a really lovely spot, much bigger than expected, lovely stream outside, large kitchen, well equipped throughout. Martine has really put a lot of thought into this, and that’s really clean when you stay. It’s full of thoughtful touches and we really enjoyed our stay. Great communication, would definitely recommend. :)

    Rebecca2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

Overlooking the Woodstock village center, this antique hotel has 148 years of history and charm. There is a full kitchen and a private bath. You do not need a car! The Trailways bus from NYC stops directly across the street, and walk to everything in the village.

  • Always a great stay. The hotel is clean and within walking distance to everything. Dave is always accommodating, quick to respond and a great host.

    Barb2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a cozy place! We’ve stayed here twice now and loved it both times. The rooms are small, but great for a couple or people who don’t mind being in close quarters. The location is perfect, so easy to walk around town and quick drives to fun little excursions. We recommend turning the heat down at night because the old heaters can get pretty toasty. We also loved eating at Shindig - very friendly staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. We’ll be back for sure!!

    Elisha2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Hotel Woodstock is definitely the place to stay if you want to be in Woodstock town proper. I try to visit Woodstock every February and I will be looking to Hotel Woodstock for my future visits.

  • Gillian’s cabin was the perfect getaway - peace, quiet and nature within a short drive from the town center. She was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the place was so charming and clean. There were so many thoughtful touches like cookies and milk upon our arrival. I can’t wait to go back and read more of the books, I wish we didn’t have to leave!

    Molly2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a warm, comfortable, relaxing, cabin-in-the-woods experience. If getting away from the world for a day or two (or three or four!!!!), Gillian’s cabin in the woods is the place to go. Don’t expect fancy. But do expect a rustic, warm, incredibly comfortable artist’s loft away from the world. I’m sure that I will be booking this space again and again!!!! Eric Davis, LMT...

    Eric2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with loads of charm. Gillian was very responsive and flexible as a host. Highly recommended!

    Chris2020-03-25T00:00:00Z

    Michael2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is my third trip to Gillian’s cabin. Me, my husband and my dog love being surrounded by the warm vibe of the cabin and vast woods around us. The steam shower is amazing after a long hike at one of the close trails! If you’re like us and looking to really disconnect - this is the place to do it. Gillian is super helpful and communicates as much as you need her to, but she also respects our privacy. Much appreciated, Gillian!!

    Amanda2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
