A 17th century house, the Altxua house (Aulnaie in Basque) was renovated in 2006 and offers an independent upstairs apartment with its private terrace (with barbecue). It is a short walk from the village of Ascain and all shops (800 m), 10 minutes from the sea and its beaches, golf courses and is the starting point for many hiking trails including the one leading to the Rhune. Our studio of 24m2 consists of a living room with a convertible sofa,television, a kitchen(fridge, glass-ceramic plates,microwave,coffee maker, toaster),an independent bathroom and a private terrace.Ideally located in the heart of the Basque country,it is a perfect base for visiting the typical villages, hiking, and going to the beach(15 minutes from Saint Jean de Luz). Please note that the studio is adjacent to our house.
