Cheerful 3 bedroom cottage on the Allegheny River

We built the summer cottage in 2006, for a summer home stayed on. We lived in the cottage 8 years when we wanted a bigger house. We love it year around. We are isolated with 3 neighbors (not close) and the river at our front door. Good boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming , hiking, bird watching (with a eagle nest across the river). December through February, it is best if you come with 4 wheel drive. Having said that , we keep the road plowed and the hill sanded.

A large private backyard with fire pit situated on a quiet street. The cottage is conveniently located a half a mile from Manning boat launch and Tuttle point and 1.6 miles from Espyville Marina. There are two walking paths in our community that will take you to the lakeshore. Both are approximately a half mile walk.

"Bearly Affordable", located along the Allegheny River nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The cottage offers private river frontage for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Cottage sleeps 6 and has most of the amenities of home including air conditioning, forced air heat, wood stove, well and septic. Additional staying quarters located in an adjacent cedar Cub House which has 4 beds, 2 lofts, and air conditioning. Cub House Closed for Season. Opens back up April 1st.

Cottage at Lake Tranquility

Located beside 3.5-acre lake (private) with deck overlooking a pasture and swans ... a peaceful getaway. Upstairs is a loft with twin beds and small office. Electric heating and A/C make it very cozy. A queen-sized bedroom on the first-floor, kitchen, bathroom with shower, and laundry room. The living area is directly above horse stalls in the basement. We have isolated that area from the living spaces, but if you are extremely sensitive to farm odors you might prefer to stay somewhere else.

The updated home has an open floor plan, modern kitchen, bar seating, fireside dining and gathering space! Lounge or dine on the large deck overlooking Sugar Creek. Firepit areas located on the deck, in the private backyard or creekside. All less than 5 mi via waterway or road to lovely, historic, Franklin, PA.

This unique little house will make you feel as if you’ve gone back in time, the perfect spot to enjoy a slower pace of life. Perfect for a family, working retreat, couples vacation, or for anyone looking for a country home away from home. Out back you can dine under a tree for al fresco meals - best done in the summer. Stargazing year-round. Summer is my favorite with fireflies and sweet corn. Bonfires year-round, plan on s’mores! Wood is not provided, but can be purchased in Sandy Lake.

French Creek Landing

Come and relax in this comfortable cottage that sits on the bank of scenic French Creek. The cottage has 4 bedrooms (sleeps 8 comfortably), living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom (towels included), screened in front porch and a car port for your vehicle. Enjoy your morning coffee on the screened in front porch. During the day you can fish, kayak/canoe, wade/swim or just sit and relax watching the water go by. Sit by a campfire in the evenings enjoying the fresh country air.

Cozy Cottage nestled on the Slippery Rock Creek

Secluded along the banks of the Slippery Rock Creek is the 4th generation family cottage, fully renovated in 2017, originally built in 1940. Descend the 45 steps to the cottage and find “there’s no place like (a 2nd) home”. From the wraparound deck you may see geese, deer, bald eagles, osprey, beaver, great blue heron and ducks. You will find yourself just 15 minutes from Moraine and McConnells Mill State Parks. 15 minutes from Mines and Meadows, 10 minutes from Sunset Ranch.
