Cottage facilities The cottage has a kitchenette with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a hot plate and an oven. Dishes and tableware are provided for six people. There is a sleeping alcove with a 110 cm wide bed. The space underneath the bed is convenient for storing luggage and other belongings. In the yard, there is a separate guest house with two additional sleeping places and a storage room. Please bring your own bed linen – bed linen is not provided. Guests are responsible for the final cleaning. There is additional storage space in a chest of drawers. The living room has a dining table with benches. The cottage has a fireplace (not a heat-storing fireplace). There is a spacious terrace with a fixed dining table. The terrace has direct access to the sauna. By the lake, there is a pier, a boat and a barbecue area. The yard consists of lawn and natural vegetation. Drinking water must be brought with you. Bottled drinking water is available at the shops in Sulkava. The neighbouring cottages also use lake water as drinking water. This is therefore possible, but at your own risk. Pets are welcome! Please note that, despite cleaning, dog hair may still be found inside the cottage. There is an outdoor dry toilet (outhouse) in the upper part of the yard, next to the woodshed. Distances and nearby services The nearest shops, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, library, gym, outdoor fitness stairs, bicycle rental and other services are in the centre of Sulkava, approximately 15 km away. Cottage by the lake

If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

Traditions and linen

Eco-friendly cottage living on a large plot (4 hectares) with no immediate neighbours. The building is clean, fresh and well decorated with materials. You'll get a made bed with linen sheets, a cold refrigerator, and your own south-facing sandy beach. A few kilometers away is Puumala Golf, Sulkava Castle Mountain, and more to see. You can row, sauna, and grill. The building has solar power where you can charge your phone and get light in the evening. Berries and mushrooms can be collected from your own forest.

Putkola Cottage Finland

Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. Not far from the cottage is the Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki bar, where in addition to the classic offer of drinks and meals, you can also buy basic groceries, various consumer goods, and fishing permits. Various cultural evenings are often held here.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Villa Myllymäki

In the villa Myllymäki, built on top of Myllymäki with my own hands, it is easy to relax and get close to nature while enjoying the magnificent scenery. A window the size of the entire end wall frames the magnificent lake landscape. The farm has about 40 hectares of forest for animal grazing, which guarantees easy and fine hiking terrain. The distance to the center of Savonlinna is 10 km by car or 6 km by boat. The farm also has a private lean-to by the pond with equally stunning views.

The wood-heated sauna has soft steam and a large landscape window. The sauna has a large terrace area for lounging and cooking (barbecue and smoker). Good opportunities for fishing, berry picking, cycling, golf, skiing, etc. The year-round outdoor hot tub, rowboat, 2 SUP boards and 2 kayaks are freely available to tenants.

Rananiemi is a fully equipped cottage on a lake bank facing the south. The cottage, built in 2002, is surrounded by pine moor and rocks. The immediate surroundings of the cottage are partly lawn, partly undisturbed nature. The terrace and the combined kitchen/livingroom have a view to the slope declining towards the lake. The yard on the other side of the cottage is flat. The neighbouring waters are sheltered and well suitable for paddling or other water activities.

You can explore nature and lake Pyhäjärvi during your stay!
