Stay in downtown Scottsville. This little river town is very friendly. The house is neat and clean with all new appliances and air conditioning on a quiet side street. Come for the fun on the river tubing, kayaking and relaxing. Walk to the lake, hiking trails, the river, museum, brewery, the tavern and the restaurants. It's about 20 miles from Yogaville in Buckingham and UVA in Charlottesville and only a short drive to several wineries in the area.
“My husband was working in a nearby government facility for a month. I came with him the 2nd week. I can tell you that Brenda's house is the most comfortable place we've stayed! It's spotlessly clean, very nicely decorated, and has every single amenity you could ask for and more! Brenda takes time to ensure your stay is comfortable, gives you information about the local area, and goes out of her way to make her house feel like home! It's so quiet and comfy here and I've been able to do my college online totally without interruption of any local noise. I also love that you may walk through the local town and enjoy some amazing little places to eat and learn about the history of Scottsville! You cannot go wrong staying in this AirBnB! Thank you Brenda-we loved it here! Betty Sanborn”
“Jackie was the perfect host. From the time I checked in until the time I checked out. She answered every question and sent me a list of things to do. Very responsive to any and every question. The grounds are emaculate and living area was beautiful. Seeing the farm animals and pets were a major plus. The convenience of the winery locations were great. I definitely will be back in the spring/summer to enjoy the other amenities such as the pool and hot tub. Actually there were people in the hot tub this time around...lol. Pretty much a no brainier when choosing a location. It was pretty awesome. Thank you Jackie.”

“Great spot to base a weekend in Charlottesville and the surrounding area. The historic home was cozy, clean, and had all the essentials (including wifi). My favorite part was seeing the antique furniture and how the house had been renovated! Do note that the parking spot is very close to the road, with some cars going by quite fast. It was not bothersome once in the house however and the road is not super busy so it's not challenging to pull out, just pay attention. Definitely recommended as a great value for the area for an authentic local experience!”
