Convenient inn to Kyoto and Osaka BKO_No2 (Western-style room) Between Kyoto & Osaka

Great accommodation in a quiet part of the city, close to a department store with restaurants and convenience stores. It was a few minutes walk to the train station. Very nice lady. I recommend if you want to visit Kyoto and Osaka but avoid the city's nightlife.

Mulan Hostel is a small, intimate hostel on the very edge if Kyoto - it's conveniently close to a bus stop and a walkable distance to beautiful views and forrests. The staff are friendly and the hostel offers everything you might need.

5-minute walk from JR Uji Station, 3 minutes to Keihan Uji and 3 minutes to Byodoin

I loved my stay in Uji, absolutely fell in love with the town. The apartment's in a very convenient location, at the end of the main street, next to Uji bridge and Byodo-in Omotesando which is lined with shops and restaurants. Depending on which station you come from it's either 5 minutes or 10 minutes by foot. I liked my room (japanese-style, upstairs), it was nice and quiet. The host and his family are a quiet bunch, you barely notice them. They are out a lot but you can always contact them via message, f.e. to request a fresh towel or another blanket or whatever you need. You can use the lobby (= living room/common room) upstairs which has a couch and a fridge till around 11pm. My only complaint is that the downstairs shower had a bit of a mold problem (but there's an upstairs shower too). Also, they have a dog (you barely see or hear it, but you can smell it in the entrance area), so if you have dog allergy beware of that.

Traditional Japanese house with beautifl garden

Sophia Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
That’s a traditional Japanese House located in a peaceful neighborhood, where’s between Kyoto and Osaka, as well as a walkable distance (22mins) to a nearby train station Makino. Thanks Nory for a flexible checkin and checkout as well as coffees☕️
