"A scenic place loved by the people of Manyo" Miyataki is a small hamlet in Yoshino, the beautiful home of Manyō, a World Heritage Site and said to be "Japan's top cherry blossom viewing spot". Miyataki was once home to the Emperor's secondary residence, "Yoshinomiya", and is also a place steeped in history where the "Jinshin Rebellion" took place. The Manyoshu contains many poems praising the scenic beauty of Miyataki. This area, where the clear Yoshino River flows, is known as one of the best river play spots in the Kansai region, and during the summer holidays, it is crowded with many visitors who come to play in the river. We decided to renovate a 100-year-old traditional house in Miyataki, where my grandparents lived for many years as umbrella and lantern craftsmen, and revive it as "Chouchin no Yado". Taking advantage of its location "right by the river where you can play", this is an inn that is easy to use even for large groups such as multiple households or friends. We hope you will use it as a base for sightseeing in Yoshino, enjoying the river, and having a BBQ, while feeling the breath of history and nature. There is a private sauna and a water bath (tarai) in the courtyard. If you love saunas, please come and visit.

Kashinoki-an is in a very convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Kashihara-Jingu-Mae Station. Kashihara Jingu Shrine is a historic town with the mausoleum and shrine of the first emperor of Japan, in the place where Japan began. It is also a place with a lot of greenery and nature. In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. You can also get to Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara in about an hour.

Makomo-no-ta, which is said to be "the grass where God dwells", spreads around the inn, and you can relax in your room and feel the "Makomo breeze". You can enjoy the "Medicinal Herb Makomo Bath" at the Irori back table and the Goemon bath, where the well water is heated with firewood. There is no TV or wifi, so why not turn off your digital devices and turn on your own sensibilities? Enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, such as the rustling of makomo leaves, the babbling of the river, the chirping of birds, the chorus of frogs, and the sound of deer.
