Monthly Rentals in Silvermine River

This was my third time staying at the Silvermine Hideaway, which is a mile from my daughter son-in-law’s home in Silvermine in New Canaan, CT. Scott always reaches out to me before and during our visit to welcome me and see if there is anything I need. Scott left his delicious home baked muffins for us, a bottle of wine, fresh fruit, a frozen pizza, and hard boiled eggs, as well as refrigerated half and half packets for our morning coffee. I have visited three times in the past four months: in October (for the birth of my third grandchild - a boy), January (for my granddaughter’s second birthday), and March (for my granddaughter’s fourth birthday). We look forward to our next stay!

Darqui was very responsive to my questions. There was a door that I thought opened up to the downstairs living space then I noticed it was sealed. She has everything you need if you forget something. I needed creamer for my coffee and I didn't have time to buy before arriving, she had some available! This is definitely a must stay. It is very close to Norwalk Conservatory which is what I stayed for, to visit with my son. Also close to restaurants and the highway. Thank you Darqui.

It was just what I needed as I was in town for a few days. Very close to places to eat and right by where I needed to be.

I stayed at David’s place for five days while my mother was convalescing nearby in New Canaan. It was such a wonderful place to come back to at the end of long days, quiet and tranquil and very private. This is a basement apartment with its own entrance and looks out onto a private backyard with a little pond with four sweet ducks. The space was immaculate upon entry. It has a well-equipped galley kitchen with a washer/dryer, full bathroom and separate bedroom with a TV. The bed was super cozy. Clean linens and towels are provided. Both Norwalk Hospital and Waveny Care Center are nearby, so if you have a loved one at either of these places and need to come spend a few days, this is a great alternative to area hotels. There are plenty of decent restaurants nearby, lots of parks and Norwalk’s Seaport district close by. Thanks, David, for a great stay!
