“The Sky-Hi cabin was amazing! Tom and Kathryn thought of everything and then some. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you’d ever need and the BBQ was nice to cook on. We enjoyed hanging out by the river and even when it rained it was beautiful. We’ll definitely be back!”
SkyCabin is located in the sleepy town of Skykomish, 16 miles west of Stevens Pass. It is the perfect launching point for year-round activities – skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winters, and hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and climbing for the rest of the year. Not very outdoorsy? SkyCabin is a perfect cozy retreat in the woods, in a quiet town, away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
“SkyCabin is a little slice of stylish heaven away from the city. The aesthetics of this cabin are unmatched by any other airbnb property I have stayed at. Also besides a whisk, this cabin had everything we needed and we didn't require anything from home but our personal hygiene products and food. She had plenty of tech and cabin amenities for making the space functional and still away from the norm. We enjoyed sitting by the fire every night and rocking in the rocking chair in the mornings. The cabin was cozy with plenty of extra blankets for chilly nights. Extra special things we found- •little lanterns with extra batteries upstairs •chopsticks and large soup bowls for soups •a binder with local trails and trip ideas • games to play •a salt lamp for a soothing space •kitchen supplies for leftovers- ziplock bags, saran wrap, and containers for storing. •table cloth and citronella candle for the deck table •Epsom salt for self care baths or sore muscles! perfect for runs, hikes , and snow activities at Steven's pass. •a guest book filled with stories of travelers before us, photos, and fun drawings. •greenery in almost every room ++ in my book! Only draw backs I found are that some of the rooms do not have window coverings in a neighborhood with close neighbors on both sides and front of cabin. I am sure Mish would totally fix this as she is an AMAZING host and very hospitable. Upstairs loft has no way place to change so be prepared for heading down to a room for privacy. And if you are a light sleeper the rooms downstairs are much more quiet in the rain and with the singing birdies :) Not secluded, but still neighborhood is fairly quiet and the town seems very accommodating with a library, mini mart, and what looked like a mini golf course?! A lot of places to walk around and ability to walk over to the river. I could see this location being less quiet when the area is not in "stay home" status. There seemed to be a larger cabin rental across the street for large groups or multiple travelers. But hey maybe that would be fun, if you are all outside having bonfires and meeting the neighborhood people. little things maybe you need to know- Parking probably for 2-3 cars”

“David was an amazing host from the point of booking till the day we left. He provided many helpful suggestions beforehand and all the information given made the check in process very seamless. The place itself is very well kept with everything that you need provided. David's responded very quickly whenever I had a question and when the whole area had a blackout due to a bad storm, he brought a lantern eventhough there were multiple torches available in the place already. This made the night much more convenient as we had more than enough light available. He also kept us updated to the status of the blackout so we knew what to expect.”
