What’s an absolutely beautiful family home . We felt right at home here . so much that I didn’t want to come back home to England :( very spacious decorated lovely . It was the middle of winter and it was extremely warm for us as well. It was decorated beautifully with Christmas decorations and lots of treats left for us . Thankyou nothing was a problem . looked after the family Cat who was absolutely delightful And no trouble at all . Very close to everything supermarket round the corner, got everywhere very easy was really sad to leave. Would definitely love to come back one day. Thankyou so much xxx

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house boasts a stunning modern design with lots of natural light, and it's located in a peaceful yet convenient area. The garden and pool were highlights, providing a perfect space to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and there was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Our host, Sigridur, was incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

We hadden een heel fijn verblijf! Veel ruimte en schoon. Op loopafstand van het lokale zwembad. 10 minuten met de auto naar downtown Reykjavik. Contact met host heel fijn en vriendelijk. Plus punt: wasmachine (zeker met een baby)

Gigja was extremely welcoming and helpful in showing us around the house and giving us local recommendations. Her house is an amazing place for kids! We had 3 kids under 5 who loved the trampoline, the 2 enclosed outdoor spaces and playhouse, and the toys and spacious interior. The place is immaculately clean and full of beautiful plants! There is a walking path that goes right by the house and runs along a stream and goes to 2 parks that we frequented. All things in Reykjavik were under 10 minutes by car. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. The host was super responsive and allowed us an early check in. The house itself is spacious, with super comfortable beds and it is gorgeous. The house fit 15 of us comfortably. The hot tub was so lovely and warm! It was only a short 15 minute drive to the centre with lots of bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here!

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

Hrafn's home was a great place to stay for our first visit to Iceland. Centrally located in Reykjavik, just minutes from the downtown area.

We absolutely LOVED the Villa. It was immaculate, modern and so well stocked. Hosts were ideal and it was one of my favorite venues ever. So many comfortable beds and the ideal spot to achieve our bucket list objective of seeing the Northern Lights. We’ll never forget this stay. Thank you!

We had an excellent stay at The Mountain Villa in early February. Hafþór and Björn were gracious hosts, responding to queries quickly and providing clear instructions to find and access the place. The villa itself was as charming and idillic as we had expected, everything was perfectly clean and tidy on arrival and the facilities were fantastic; we particularly enjoyed the sauna and cold plunge after long days exploring. Flúðir was a quiet little village but perfect for what we wanted, with enough options to eat and drink for the short time we were there, and easily walkable from the villa. The hospitality at Restaurant Minilik was particularly excellent, and the Secret Lagoon is definitely worth a visit too! The Mountain Villa was a perfect hub to explore the region, with lots of sights and walks within a 30 minute drive, and a good place to travel further into the South from. Overall, a perfect stay and we hope to visit again in the future! Thank you Hafþór and Björn!

We stayed here as a family of four, including two adult children, and had a great experience. We didn’t spend a ton of time in the home since we were out exploring most of the day, but every time we returned, their home feel comfortable, and inviting. The house is located on a busy street, though we didn’t find it noisy at night—it was easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. It’s was a pleasant walk to the main downtown area of Reykjavík, which made it super convenient for sightseeing, shopping, and dining without needing to drive. The driveway is a bit tight and can be tricky to get in and out of, but we ended up walking almost everywhere, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. All in all, a great base for a Reykjavík stay—clean, cozy, and well-located.

We travel to Iceland often and this is now at the top of our favorites list. The history and authenticity of the home is super interesting and very fun, but the upgrades and amenities make sure that you have no loss of creature comforts. The low ceilinged sleeping arrangements were challenging for two vertically gifted people, but we considered the contortions required to be our flexibility workouts for the week. We love to be west of center city and this location is just far enough from the hub-bub to be convenient and peaceful. If you want to get out of the city, the included car is great for grabbing supplies or visiting farther flung activities. Margret was super helpful and had very fast communication, a great host experience. This will be a highly recommended location for anyone, without small children or elders, that asks me for suggestions.

This house is amazing… it stood out among 3 airbnbs we used this trip… comfortable, well stocked (foosball, great kitchen amenities, quality towels linens and beds) and in an exquisite location on a small cliff with great panoramic views of far-off snow capped mountains. Hosts were responsive when we tripped the circuit breaker and helped us quickly get power back. I have literally zero complaints and so many things i lived about this house!!! Many thanks to these gracious hosts!

This was a really beautiful place to stay, we loved it. House was spotless and so well equipped and warm. Most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Location was amazing and the views are incredible. The high snow fall did make getting out of the driveway difficult, but that was part of the adventure.

Wonderful place to stay! This house provided all of the amenities we needed for our family of six of various ages. We had a fantastic trip together to Iceland and the hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions.

Ein super Airbnb. Modern eingerichtet aber total gemütlich. Wir haben uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt. Der Hot Tube auf der Terasse: Ein Traum. Mit der Beschreibung super zu finden. Die Gastgeber sind immer telefonisch zu erreichen und kümmern sich hervorragend.

Die Unterkunft war für uns perfekt für ein paar Tage Island im Winter. ❄️ Wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt im Haus. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und auch in den Rest der Zimmern hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Alle Highlights im Süden, der Golden Circle und Reykjavík waren super für einen Tagesausflug erreichbar, auch bei eher wenig Tageslicht in den Wintermonaten.

This was the best place we have ever stayed as a family. Sigurdurs place is beautiful with the most stunning view. The house is spacious and very warm and cosy. It is absolute heaven, the perfect escape to the countryside with a chance of seeing the northern lights over the lake. I would definitely recommend Sigurdur’s place to everyone. Our stay was wonderful! Property was very clean, very well stocked, and instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Hosts were responsive and easy to contact. Location was absolutely beautiful and the hot tub worked fantastic! Highly recommend this home!!!

Maison très confortable, bien équipée et située dans un endroit paisible. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La vue est superbe, le jacuzzi très agréable. Les pièces sont spacieuses et la maison dispose de tous les équipements envisageables.

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

Arnar’s home is outstanding, we were a family of 3 staying however there was plenty of room for another 4 more people to stay if needed. The living space was nice to relax and look out over the Mountain View’s and the sheep would come by in the morning. It is completely private with its out private drive, a car is needed but everything is close by. We were lucky to see the Northern lights from the home. The pool table was loved by our son and my personal favourite was the hot tub and the electric massage chair. The home is so well located for the Golden circle with most attractions within 30 mins and the secret Lagoon 5 mins away. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing home with us.
