Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Takayama

What a lovely home! I will be thinking about this house for a long time to come… perfect living room and bathroom. Decor and interior design is simple yet tasteful. Heated mattress to sleep on the tatami made for a restful sleep each night! Super lovely place.

The house was beautiful and the host was very friendly. We made the arrival very comfortable and an excellent treatment. Wishing to return.

Great location, close walking distance to the morning market and not too far from the train station. Place was exactly as described, comfortable and had everything we needed.

A wonderful apartment if you travel as a family or as a couple, which perfectly combines its traditional Japanese features with modern technology and a very cozy and comfortable environment. We were very lucky with the weather, though we were traveling during wintertime, but one could also have a relaxed stay inside during a rainy day. It is located close to the center, but it is far enough to be very quiet and private at night. We felt very much at home from the very first minute, and we really enjoyed the recommendations in the kitchen that lead us to some more non-touristic food places. So, thank you very much for your kind service and the opportunity to use this place during our our stay in Takayama.

Great place, super clean, traditional rooms

Koto's place was a beautiful discovery - one of the best homes ever found on Airbnb. Thoughtful details, lots of accessories, and everything you need for a wonderful vacation in a wonderful home. Too bad we only stayed one night. Absolutely recommended!

We had a great stay at this apartment. Really easy to find, and even though they had some trouble with the front door key code there was a kind gentlemen who helped by the door and it was very quickly resolved. The apartment itself was spotless and really cosy for us. It had lots of useful amenities and the shower was amazing! Location is excellent and super close to the main areas in takayama town. A 5 minute walk to the morning market. We loved it and would stay again.

the place is bigger than expected. there are multiple levels in the apartment. you need to go down a few steps to get to the toilet and shower, and then up a few steps to get to the bedroom. we were there in October and the bathroom was really cold - the window can't be opened or closed and is not fully shut. the temperature outside is the temperature you'll have in the bathroom. other than that we loved the place

Google Maps had trouble finding the address when copied from the description, but through some trial and error, I succeeded. otherwise the place was perfect location, nice, clean and comfortable beds. Thank you for a nice stay :)

Takayama is a very nice town with interesting traditional activities all over the place. Good for two days. In the evening it is extremely difficult to find place to eat…booking in advance is mostly necessary. There are few bars open to have a drink before or after dinner.
