Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Takayama

100% recommend!! It was stylish no matter which space was cut, and I enjoyed the bath, card games, etc. The host was very kind and responsive, and check-in and checkout were flexible, which was very helpful.

This guesthouse is perfect in every way. We are a couple from Australia, and we wanted to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors, and stay somewhere that gave us an authentic Japanese experience. Ayano and Waku’s guesthouse gave us all this and more. We were picked up from the train station, taken to a grocery store for snacks, and given dinner and breakfast which was exceptional. The guesthouse is incredible. Modern, stylish and traditional. Our room was warm, cozy, comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Great hot water, great amenities. We washed our clothes in the machine every night. The downstairs area is a delight. Kitchen, dining and casual area which would be great for kids. Waku was a chef in Tokyo and the meals were seriously amazing. We spent some time walking around the local area, laying in the hammocks and reading and they drove us to some hiking areas for the day. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

It was a very stylish and at-home space.There are many instruments, so I think it's even more fun to stay with musicians. I stayed during the time when the inn was hosting an event as an art gallery, so it was fun to see the exhibits.The owner is also friendly and kind, and will respond properly if you have any questions. Recommended for slow life lovers and family⭐ trips

We had an incredible stay! The owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. They went above and beyond by suggesting great nearby places to visit, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly made a difference, and we highly recommend staying here. This is the best accommodation we ever had in Japan! The room is super big and beautiful for 2 persons, and the location is ideal from the Takayama train station, as well as from the shops and restaurants in Takayama!

This was a perfect stop between visits to Tokyo and Kyoto. We enjoyed spreading out and slowing down the pace in this beautiful property. It is in walking distance to town, the train station and also many shrines. We spent three days exploring on foot and one day visiting the ropeway and surrounding mountains (which was really fun). When not out and about, we enjoyed this clean, relaxing property and its birds eye view of Takayama.

We had a great stay at this house. The location is perfect, only a short walk to the old town and easy to drive out of town for hiking daytrips. The walk from the parking spot to the house was much shorter and easier than we expected, it was no problem for us. The house was clean and had plenty of space. We would be happy to stay here again.

Tetsuji’s place was beautiful. My friends and I enjoyed the form and function woodwork in the traditional home. We built fires every night and cooked in the well stocked kitchen. Comfortable and clean futons and bedding. Lovely spaces, and the singing toilet upstairs was so relaxing. 12 min drive to Takiyama historic district and 40 min drive to Shiragawago. Very responsive host and gave us restaurant recommendations.
