Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Takoma Park

Just what we needed to get away from the busy house where everyone else was staying. It was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen has several basics like olive oil and a few mini waters and instant coffee. It’s a quirky house with charm. We would absolutely stay there again!

Tyler's place was perfect for our stay with our extended family. It's spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax indoors and out. It has a very nice large porch and deck, great for some solitude or for kids to play. The beds were comfy and the linens ample, there are gorgeous large bathrooms and luxurious showers, the kitchen was well-stocked and included an amazing high-end stove, and the living spaces are nicely decorated and furnished with art and tons of books. One bedroom had lots of toys and kids' books, a very nice touch. Tyler was helpful, accommodating, and responsive. The location is very convenient to Arlington National Cemetery and within walking distance to a Metro stop. Everything about this rental was fantastic--we highly recommend it if you need a lovely space for a large group. Thanks, Tyler!

Perfect place for our stay in Germantown. Very cozy and the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware. Plenty of rooms for everyone to have their own space and also the family room was big enough for everyone to hang out together.

We had and excellent stay and the house was gorgeous. Kate communicated clearly and was very compassionate about why we needed to be there; one of our best friends funeral. my family and I had an amazing time at Julia's place. She is an amazing host and the house was well furnished and we really enjoyed our 11 day stay there. look forward to coming back again.

Karl’s place was great! Easy to find and get to. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and the metro was super close. If we are ever in the DC area again, we will stay here!

The space was beautiful, modern charm, clean, and accommodating. Everything inside the house was easy to find and had everything we needed for a quick DC trip with our 4 kids (including a pizza cutter!). The host even helped us with parking, while we took the metro into DC. Closest station was less than 1 block away. Would absolutely stay again!

Stayed with my husband, 17 year old l, and 12 year old. The beds were perfect in the spare room and I always travel with an extension cord which helped with electronics and charging in the spare room( not needed there were outlets, but was helpful). Perfect place to unwind after long days of walking and visiting the zoo and DC area. Amy was available when I reached out for local recommendations and expressed that she had extra info in the master bedroom. This location met all my expectations for cooking, relaxing, and safety. Most Airbnb’s look comfortable but don’t accommodate our family for relaxation so I was looking specifically for a sectional to watch movies or tv together and this space provided this and much more; really was comforting and felt home like. We cuddled up, I made some tea, and the view was amazing. Thank you both! We will definitely return next time we visit DC.

This was our 2nd stay here...a wonderful home base when visiting DC! Colorful, cozy, sparkling clean & spacious...we enjoy comfortably relaxing in a convenient city location. So many wonderful things to say about this stay. The location was even better than anticipated. Great restaurants, Trader Joe’s, and lovely playground just a couple blocks away. The host went above and beyond to setup a baby bed for us. It was a great place for kids. Not a lot of noise in the neighborhood. The host was very helpful with our questions about riding the metro as we are from a town with no metro. Thank you for accommodating our family with small children!

We enjoyed our stay at Trish's place. She was very helpful and friendly, and even shared an item from her own kitchen to make our stay even better. The place is very homey and cozy and we enjoyed the fireplace. The neighborhood is peaceful and attractive.

Mooi en ruim sousterrain. Woonkamer met keukenhoek, ruime badkamer en aparte slaapkamer met goed bed. Parkeren met vergunning op straat, niet altijd voor de deur helaas, maar goed te doen. Op half uur lopen van het Capitool. En het metro station bij Union Station op een kwartier lopen. We waren er de drie nachten dat we er konden verblijven heel blij mee!

We had a great stay at Robert's place. It was extremely spacious and was great for us and our teen kids. Rob was great at making us feel welcome and walking us through the space and giving us information on the area. It was such a great space to come home to after touring DC daily for a week. For anyone staying, just be aware that there are some steep stairs down as it is a basement space.

The location was great: quiet neighborhood and easy 20-minute walk to Metro. Tyson's Corner, Wolf Trap and downtown Vienna were all close by.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the host takes great pride in maintaining the property. We will try to stay here again, for any future visits to DC. This home felt so warm, welcoming and uncomplicated. It was the perfect location to be central to everything, yet offers a blooming, picturesque backyard retreat to unwind. We could tell that the hosts, Aman and Krista, aren’t just offering a place to stay, they care about creating a positive experience. Communication was very prompt, kind and always helpful. They provided so many thoughtful extras including books, games, everything you need in a kitchen, plenty of towels, soaps, a coffee station, and even fresh cut flowers upon arrival and extra toys for my grandson! I will forever be grateful for the amazing weekend my wife and I spent at the Dulles Executive Resort. It was love at first sight when we checked in after an overwhelmed 5 hours red eye flight. We needed a secluded place to rest and it was far better than what we had hoped for even beyond a stretch of our imagination. Beside being conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from IAD, the DER offers so many amenities..Our host welcoming attitude left no room for reproach.
