Hi there,Welcome to the Nishimura Residence.I’m Yuta Sugimoto, the host. The Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya townhouse over 110 years old.In 2019, I renovated ‘Grandma’s house’, where I spent a lot of time as a child, and opened it as an inn.As the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, it has many inconveniences and is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　Instead, I believe there is no better place than Naramachi to soak up the ‘comfortable rusticity’ that permeates the town.In the hope of helping guests ‘reflect and recover’ in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the station area, we provide books in the room and a vegetarian breakfast.(Almost all of the books in the room are available for purchase.) 　Please spend this evening in the tranquil surroundings of the Nishimura residence and Naramachi, listening to the voice of your own heart.

Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. The nearest station is Oji Station on the JR Line (18 minutes from Osaka Tennoji Station). It is about a 20-minute bus ride from Oji Station. If you are coming by train, we will pick you up at the nearest station. The last pick-up time is 7:00 PM. After that, please use the bus. There is a lovely hot spring nearby, or you can walk there. There is a barbecue facility in the garden. Convenient access to Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, and Yoshino.
