Auvergne Holiday Cottage/Gite Sleeps 4

Set in the countryside, 4 kilometers from Condat and adjoining our home, is our Cantal farmhouse known as a longère. Thick stone walls, wooden beams, large living room with traditional fire place and log burner, internet tv, two bedrooms, bathroom, and fitted kitchen. Enjoy sitting by a roaring log fire in the winter or in the shade of the old lime tree with a glass of wine enjoying the spectacular views in the summer. Whatever the time of year, you’ll enjoy the Longère’s comfort and charm.

In the shade of the trees, in full sun or under the snow, you will enjoy this break in our indoor cabin. Stroll along the paths to discover the biodiversity of the Black Woods. Since March 2022, we have been partners with LIVRADOIS FOREZ, a regional natural park in Auvergne. You will appreciate the cabin for its location: the breathtaking view of "Little Auvergne Tuscany" and the Chaîne des Puys on the horizon (it dominates), the forest atmosphere, access to the paths, the feeling of being in a nest. The cabin is perfect for couples, but also suitable for families (with kids) and four-legged friends are accepted (but beware, the land is not enclosed). Ideal for mountain bikers, trailers...

Atypical stone house completely renovated, in an old estate dating from the 15th century. Located in the middle of nature, quiet, but only a 5-minute drive to downtown Thiers, capital of cutlery, and all amenities. The gite is conveniently located for visiting Livradois-Forez. Guests will enjoy a terrace, garden and walled courtyard, not overlooked. Walks from the cottage, lake and aquatic center 10 minutes away.
