The property is steeped in history, as at one time was held by the Cistercian Monks of Llantarnam Abbey and used as a Grange and reputed Manor. The “Great Hall” adjoined to the eastern elevation of the house was a former residence, referred to in historical records “Cefn Vynach” that is Monks- Ridge.
