Definitely one of the best airbnb I stayed in ! Traditional, clean, roomy, well located. I would definitely come back as soon as I will be around. Nagahama is a great city and deserves a few days on site. I cannot think of a better place than Masahiro’s to stay and enjoy a slower pace.

Haruya Guesthouse

Staying at this guesthouse was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The house itself is beautifully organized, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. It has all of the amenities you could possibly need, and the art and trinkets all around give everything a great feel. The hiking trails nearby are amazing, and to make it even better, their sweet dog Lily showed us the way like a true experienced guide! We also had so much fun playing with their pigeon Rubina and duck Tori. But what made this place truly special was the family hosting us. Their kindness, generosity, and curiosity created such a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. One evening, they even brought us some Japanese desserts to try, things we never had before! We had wonderful conversations and felt so lucky to be part of their world, even for a short time. We were genuinely sad to leave, but we hope to come back again in the future. This stay was worth every moment, and we’ll treasure the memories forever!

A 120-year-old inn that heals the starry sky and the clear stream of an old house.Caves, woodworking lathe experiences, mosquito nets, and fireflies

Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature, which was a good refreshment for me who usually lives in the city. The local residents were also kind, warm, and full of the idyllic countryside. I took an optional walking tour, but I went to see the source of clear flows around the inn.The guide who guided me was also a very friendly person, and I was able to enjoy it with peace of mind.We would definitely recommend it to families with children. It is evidence that it is rich in nature, but insects still gather in the light at night. There was plenty of insect control, so there was no inconvenience at all. It was a lovely accommodation that would definitely like to return to again.
