Cabin holiday rentals in Tromsø Municipality

Staying at Vensoy was a great experience a definitely a bucket list item! It was secluded and exactly what you need to see the northern lights! Maria and Nils made our stay even more memorable with their attentiveness and great communication. We opted into the snow shoeing and spa on the island as much needed little outings, but just beware it is pricey but great to see your surroundings. We rented a car and it allowed for super easy timing from the airport and for a shop at a supermarket before getting to the island, but it is possible via public transport but would be difficult if conditions were average. Would highly recco to all, especially families who want to relax and unwind.

Turid and Hans place truly is Paradise! The photos don't do it justice! Turid was so helpful from the moment we booked until we departed, making sure we had clear instructions and plenty of great recommendations. Hans made sure we knew everything we needed to when we arrived. He had a roaring fire going for us, explained everything and left us some very well received welcome goodies. Both Hans and Turid stayed in touch during our stay to make sure we were settled in and to see if we wanted any more recommendations. The place itself is utterly perfect! We are already planning another stay in winter and also a midnight sun trip as well. We both slept so well in the beds, super comfy! Lovely kitchen/dining area with everything you need and the kitchen has everything you need. The wifi is super-fast and there is a Smart TV if you need to be connected to the world. The Sauna and Hot-Tub have the most amazing views over the Fjord. We cannot wait to stay again, as we didn't want to leave!

Fantastic Cabin, you can see northern lights from the jacuzzi. Close to Malangen resort to do some tours, (and get some alcohol - as Tromsø was closed when we came through! and Camp Nikka for great viewing and walks. The cabin had everything you could want and more. Super warm, great sauna and we will be back to see the midnight sun in summer! The cabin felt super cozy, and with the roaring fire you can defrost! Thank you Ørjan for making our stay such an amazing experience !

Absolutely stunning location - we didn’t want to leave!… The cabin is super cosy, warm with lots of space. Really great place to relax and unwind and appreciate the gorgeous surroundings. The cabin was spotless with traditional decor and the facilities at the cabin were great (for a couple or a family) Yngve was the perfect host - always a quick response and happy to help with anything. He sent perfect instructions. It was really easy to find the cabin (40 minutes from Tromso centre) and check-in was a breeze. Yngve also helped with great recommendations of places to visit and restaurants etc We felt very safe, warm and welcome. The absolute cherry on top was the hot tub - fabulous under the stars and trees!! We would go back in a heart beat Love this place

We had a very nice time in the accommodation. The hot tub was the absolute highlight and the view was amazing. In some cases, there was little storage space. The arrival was a bit challenging due to the icy street despite 4x4.

The space is a dream. The location on the water, top modern house with many sleeping possibilities, the kitchen is well equipped and the view from the large windows is simply fantastic. Andre was always available, helped us understand the local situation (as we came by public transport) and clearly sent instructions for check-in and check-out. All in all a perfect stay and we would come back right away.

Ritah's place is the perfect place to wind down. With the ferry from Hasnes, it is super easy to drive to the cabin (count 1h to the ferry, 40 to 60 min ferry and then 40 min drive to the cabin). Roads are cleared on a regular basis, so even with a lot of snow we did not have any issues driving to and from the cabin. Instructions to get there and get the hut set were super clear and Ritah was very responsive before the booking but also during, when we could not figure out the sauna right away 🙈 We felt at home as soon as we set foot in the little cabin. There is definitely a lot of memories in this cabin and we felt privileged that Ritah opened her home on the platform for non islanders like us to enjoy. We are always picky to choose homes that follow the true Airbnb spirit (not the white walls / hotels kind of homes) and where we can feel at home. Ritah's cabin did not disappoint! Bonus: it is also the perfect place to spot Aurora's when the sky is clear!!!

The houses are comfortable, well-equipped and ideal for stays with friends or family, with all the necessary amenities. Only small downside: in the Amanda house, the water system emitted an acute whistle when using cold water. Apart from this detail, the place is really peaceful and we were lucky enough to admire several northern lights, which made the experience even more memorable.

This is a magical place in beautiful nature. The cabin is impeccable with everything that you might need. Great kitchen supplies and lots of small corners to relax. Perfect terrasses and bbq to enjoy the outside. Nina is a very friendly proactive host, making sure that you can enjoy every moment of your stay. Many thanks for having us!

The cabin was perfect to calm down and to watch the northern lights. It has really everthing you need (besides Wifi, but wasn‘t necessary for us) and it was so cozy. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definetely come back! Svein is a perfect host! He provided lot of information and was really helpful (we had some issues with getting a rental car in Tromsø). Couldn‘t have been better! Thank you so much for hosting us 🥰

Very nice place. Close to nature. We were lucky enough to observe a fishing eagle from the cabin in the morning and the northern lights in the evening. We will come back without hesitation if the opportunity arises. A big thank you to you May-Tordis for hosting us in your cabin.

We spent our family vacation at the property and was completely satisfied and delighted with this great place to stay!

It is very close to nature and in a very nice and quiet location. Kjetil always responded very quickly and gave good tips.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The location was one of a kind—super calming, beautifully remote, and unlike anything we had ever experienced before. Being away from civilization while still enjoying complete comfort and coziness made this trip super special. We would do it again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended! In addition, Anton was an exceptional host—remarkably friendly, warm-hearted, incredibly hospitable, attentive, and flexible. By the end of our stay, we felt like we had gained a new friend, even though we had just met. That is something truly special.

What a heavenly little cabin nestled in the woods! The perfect spot to spend five snowy nights! Yes, the cabin is cozy, the views are beautiful, the location is great. But the hosts - Eva & Inge - are what truly make this location special (and the fire oven, which I was obsessed with)! I would recommend this place without hesitation. And will most definitely be spending time there again myself!

The place is well equipped and beautifully decorated. We felt comfortable from the first moment. The property is very quiet with great views over the fjord. Already on the first night we could see a sky full of northern lights. Camilla and Thomas were very helpful and always responded immediately to questions. Especially when we had problems with the water supply. We would definitely stay there again.

We loved the place! Very nice for observing the northern lights right outside the house, beautiful surroundings, seascape, mountains. We are definitely coming back in the future!

We loved our stay here. The cabin is warm and had everything we needed. It‘s close to the ferry and easy to find. Karin and Sigurd were very helpful and easy to reach at all times. We were able to see the northern lights twice from the cabin which was an added bonus. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

We had a great time at Mod and Øystein's place, communication is easy and the accommodation is very nice. The road is quite busy during the day but the night is quiet. Above all, we had the great pleasure of being able to admire the northern lights from the cottage. We'll be happy to go back!

Really beautiful house in the far countryside. A lot of snow like we were dreaming of ! The host was really nice and friendly. The house is beautiful, clean, well equipped and super-insulation for winter, all made of wood. Very traditional WiFi works perfectly. Cooking was easy. One hour far from Tromso-center Thanks a lot ! I hope we will be back for one or 2 weeks

We loved our time staying here. Svein was responsive and popped over straight away to check when we couldn't get the shower to work but it turns out it was user error (doh!). We saw the aurora borealis, tufted squirrels and elk from the windows of the cabin which was amazing! Lots of thoughtful touches, coffee, tea, crisps and sweets were left for us. The cabin was also really toasty when we arrived which was extremely welcome at 11:45pm after driving for hours! Remember to bring cash for the knitted mittens that are for sale in the cabin. They are amazingly warm and a great keepsake of our trip! I would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks!

We had a great stay at Frances house and felt like at home. Very cosy with the wood oven. We saw the polar light at two nights. Either just infront the house or a 6 km drive to a parking lot higher in the mountain.

Very nice cozy and tastefully furnished cabin. We felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped and perfect for cooking yourself. Great views of the Lyngen-Alps, perfect also to see northern lights, and occasionally visit by the Kings of the Forests (Konge Elche😁). Lise is an always easily accessible host and always helpful when needed. We highly recommend the cabin and will be happy to come back anytime.
