The house, carefully equipped as a family home, exceeded expectations: impeccable cleaning, efficient heating in winter and a traditional, simple and tasteful decor. It offers the essentials with excellence, including in the package, typical village security and an authentic charm, away from the standard of mass tourism. Parking is on the street but it is easy and certain, as is the confidence of the host by providing utensils and towels at will — a gesture that deserves reciprocal respect. However, I had an initial difficulty: the address was not located by Google Maps/Waze, as it is in a rural village. I contacted the host who was promptly solicitous and everything resolved. Despite this small logistical challenge, the experience was perfect. For those seeking a cost-effective connection of simplicity, values respect for space and details, as well as seeking an authentic and welcoming experience, I recommend without hesitation! We had a wonderful stay here. Moisés met us at our car on arrival and gave us a comprehensive overview of the Airbnb and amenities as well as a tour of the property highlights during the check in process. The space was very comforting and peaceful and exceeded our expectations. Tiago and Moisés were very hospitable, responsive and helpful throughout our stay either via message or in person in the lobby area. The breakfast provided had a great assortment of delicious goods that got us off to a great start each day. We did the farm tour and wine tasting with Moisés and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The location was easy to access the 2 nearby towns (Tua and Alijó) where we went for dinners or to the supermarket ~ 10-15 minutes by car. We also enjoyed some of the beautiful hiking trails in the Tua Valley Nature Park that were well marked and easy to assess by foot or a short drive away. It was a unique place to stay and we hope to return someday!

No frills and all heart - this stay is exactly as Mario describes it, and them some more. We could never have imagined a better way to disconnect from the world and be someplace place seemingly in the middle of nowhere and yet never a dull moment. Mario is an incredible conversationalist and an even better host. We'd say that mealtimes at the table, fresh local produce and Mario's homely cooking were our highlights, but found our hearts stolen by his constant companion and cutest adventure-seeker Amendoa. We'd love to return soon, for longer next time. Def the highlight of our 9-day Portugal trip.

The studio is functional and nicely appointed, in the middle of a charming property. We were able to enjoy a beautiful view of the valley and the large swimming pool in a natural environment. A perfect quiet stay. Beautiful surrounding landscapes a little away from the tourism of the valley. it's hard to leave the place.
