Ruth is a great hostess. She was east to communicate with. The home is well appointed and a much needed space to reflect after a 5 week trip in South Africa. Easy walk to restaurants, tut tut or uber also easily available. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Ruth’s art work is lovely on the walls as well. Thank you for a peaceful stay.

"An Absolute Gem!" This was hands down one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had! The home was exactly as described—spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches. From the welcome basket with local treats to the guidebook packed with insider tips on restaurants and attractions, the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The bed was comfortable, and we woke up every morning to the sound of the sea —pure bliss. The location was perfect too: tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but just a short drive to the beach. The hosts were communicative, kind, and genuinely invested in making our stay unforgettable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you're considering staying here, don’t hesitate—this place is a dream. We can't wait to come back!

This is a wonderful place to stay, seeing the ocean when you open your eyes in the morning can not be described in words. I will return everytime when visiting Umdloti/Durban Tam and Grant are great hosts

We really enjoyed our stay! The unit has a lovely view of the sea and is well equipped with everything you could need. It was also more spacious than I anticipated. We were pleasantly surprised with Umdloti. It has a nice 'community' feel to it and is peaceful. Carel's place is well worth a visit!!
