Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Utrechtse Heuvelrug

Thank you very much for the hospitality! The cottage has all the comforts and is more spacious than I thought in advance. What a beautiful location! I greatly appreciated the tranquility and the view. Wonderful to relax in this beautiful place. I especially spent a lot of time in the garden room. Here I had the view of the cows in the adjacent meadow. Also waking up in the morning without an alarm clock, but with the sound of the many birds was nice! When the sun was shining, I could sit and enjoy in the lee of the bushes/trees. Again, thank you! And I'd love to come back.

We had a great vacation with a really nice house. We were also kindly allowed to use the garden. The old house has a charm all its own and is very comfortably furnished. We felt comfortable immediately - not least because of Kater Henk. Sandy and Martijn were easily accessible for us and gave us great tips for exploring the area. Thanks!

We had a slightly longer stay here. Nice house with a desk for school work and 2 large bedrooms so we really had the space. From the living room, dining room and kitchen, unobstructed views of the lawn and forest, which made it possible to recharge wonderfully. And every morning and evening can enjoy the deer! So nice! Friendly host with respect for privacy. Absolutely recommended for a short as well as long stays!

Bart and Carole were incredible hosts! Very kind, responsive, and provided wonderful recommendations for local spots to check out. My husband is from the Netherlands and said the location is as good as it gets! The home is pretty and secluded. It is within a very short walking distance to town with restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. It also backs right up to beautiful woods!!! The house is the perfect size and was very clean. Absolutely loved the kitchen. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Don’t hesitate to book!

The cottage is in a beautiful location, our family had a tons of fun playing in the yard and watching all the animals around.

Great Airbnb and super location. Spacious house with all amenities that one may need. We were there with 8 adults and had a fantastic time. Wijnand also communicates very fast which is very handy as we had almost locked ourselves out. Would 100% recommend.

This is not just a house, it's a home. The atmosphere is great: nice furniture, tasteful decorations and lots of inspiring quotes. We loved it. Good big kitchen to cook and to have long dinners. There's an airy living room so even with seven people you can still breathe and find a quiet spot to read. Anne and Martijn allowed us the TV and Nintendo which the kids loved after walks in the surrounding natural parks. There is lots of greenery nearby and Utrecht is close and offers interesting museums and shops. The supermarket is very close as well so no time gets wasted on long trips to get some food. Anne was easy to reach and very kind. They even left a surprise and lots of nice post its. Our Christmas holiday was the best!

We had a wonderful stay (7 nights) in July 2024. The property is part of a 4 party house built in such a way that you are very private. The adjacent pine forest exudes a great scent and offers many opportunities for hiking or cycling right outside the front door. The neighborhood is very quiet and discreet. The house offers a lot of space for a family of up to 6 people. The living room has a great view through large floor-to-ceiling windows. The cats were very cute and easy to care for. They got along well with our children. All in all a great week in a great place. Feel free to come back any time!!! Thank you!!!

Great place to stay in Utrecht in a very central location. Diederik is a great host, very responsive and helpful. The house is spacious and has everything you need to feel right at home. Lovely balcony to enjoy the spring weather :) I highly recommend it!

Jonathan's place is perfect for a short stay. The apartment and the garden are absolutely beautiful and really thoughtfully designed. It wasn't cold despite the large window (we used termostat). The kitchen is good for cooking. But it might be a little uncomfortable for long staying because the bathroom is really tiny (but it's not a problem for a few days). Jonathan was very friendly and helpful.

Perfect place for a weekend in Netherlands. Great location surrounded by nature.

My partner and I stayed at Sylvia and Lex B&B in Utrecht for a week to attend a conference and we both found it charming and very comfortable. Sylvia was a very personable host and we always had very good communications. We so appreciated all the extras like wine and local beer, fresh eggs, bread, and meats and cheese as well the coffee and teas. We both slept comfortably and had no problem following instructions for heating or various appliances. What makes this place so special is it's location right on the canal in the heart of Utrecht. Even with the cooler weather we enjoyed every day! All of the artworks and books in the flat also create a unique visual experience - I love the grasshopper drawing! Utrecht is a very special place and staying here, in the medieval center with the bells chiming and boats floating by on the canal are incredibly memorable and romantic. Thank you again, we highly recommend!

The apartment is in a beautiful quiet location. And close to public transit. Easy to get to shopping and tourist areas. A rare find! Will be back to stay again!

This stay was the friendliest and the most charming Airbnb experience we have had! The building is an incredible experience of history, built in the 1580s and renovated by Joost and his father 16 years ago. Great detailing, furnishing, and design reflecting Utrecht in every way. And Joost was incredibly friendly, always responsive, and respectful of our privacy. The location is great! Right in the heart of Utrecht, where everyone was so friendly to us throughout. The beds where comfortable, and the back bedrooms quiet. Our tweens loved the attic space for sleeping, with a window view over the square. There was noise from people in the square in the evenings but it did not bother us as all as it was not unlike the sounds in our urban neighborhood. Joost's attention to detail and design was evident throughout! When in Utrecht again, I will definitely stay here! And it super easy by train for the day to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or the Hague. Lastly, great daylight in the living room area!

Riwfkas place is wonderful . Cozy, clean and equipped with all you need for your holiday. Utrecht is a pleasant city with a friendly atmosphere. The check in was easy and Riwfka was welcoming and provided us with all the informations we needed.

We had a very nice stay in Utrecht. The apartment is nice and very well located! You are right downtown. There are many restaurants in the area and by bike you are quickly in the countryside.

All of Harm's directions were accurate and helpful, and he was very friendly. Although the apartment is not very central, the metro and bus stops are less than 50 metres away. Getting to Utrecht Central Station takes 5 minutes. It is also a very quiet area where you can rest without any problems. The apartment is very nice and totally suitable for 4 people. The beds are comfortable. There is a nice balcony and a lovely living room, decorated with wonderful plants. It was a pleasure to have stayed in this apartment.

We stayed with Olaf for a week over Easter with a family and two friends. We had a lovely time. The living room is very spacious and provided us all with enough space. The separate area behind the house with heated pool and a cozy barbecue area is particularly beautiful. A jumbo is within walking distance. When booking, you should be aware (see photos and description) that a double bed is open above the living room and there is only one bathroom and the apartment is very audible. It wasn't a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Thanks so much

Stellar stay! Our highlights: super quiet residential neighborhood with a nice park nearby, well-equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook, comfy beds and pillows, heating works really well. Lucas is super friendly and responsive host and he's even left some nice wine and sweets for us. Would certainly stay here again!

This is one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve experienced. This centuries old historic home is decorated with style and whimsy yet completely modern. Joyce and Ernst are warm and welcoming and have truly thought of everything. The location in Utrecht (a very special place) overlooks a canal and is peaceful and serene. A short walk away are many excellent restaurants, cool shops and a lovely park. Don’t miss the Miffy museum especially if traveling with children. I could go on about this lovely apartment, instead I encourage you book it and see for yourself.
