The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Small house of 6m2 with covered terrace and large hanging relaxation net, perched in the middle of the trees in a quiet setting. First human presence (we!) 200m away: you will be alone in the middle of the woods. The 300 m walkable access includes a steep slope. Coffee and tea are available. We offer homemade meals. Bed linen provided, towels not provided. Communication via Airbnb, because the phone doesn't get a good signal at our place (in the cabin it's good).

In the heart of the Lauragais, in the middle of the sunflower fields and away from the village, in an unspoiled and serene setting, come and explore a real haven of peace. We offer an upstairs gîte, adjoining our family home, and next to our other gîte "Au Pigeon Voyageur". It is located in the countryside, at the foot of our dovecote and the stone bread oven dated 1613, in a small hamlet of 3 houses. Graulhet is the closest town (8 km away with 15,000 inhabitants). It has exceptional views of the Pyrenees. You will find typical elements of the region, exposed stone walls, parquet and wooden beams.
