Walden is located in the middle of the unique backdrop landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded banks surround the meadows. With grasslands, water and patches of forest in between. It looks cosy, those grasslands between the trees. Smûk, as we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area was also gifted with pingos from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 National Parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. An ideal area for cycling and walking.

The perfect combination of vibrancy and relaxation. The detached húske is stylishly and tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort.

Parking for 2 cars and space on the side of the houseboat for a boat with a maximum height of 1.7m. use of 4 x1 pers and 1 x 4 pers canoes in consultation. towel packages can be ordered for a fee. The houseboat is quietly located and is therefore not rented out to young people or for student, drinking and bachelor parties. Smoking and pets are not allowed in the houseboat.

Waking up with a view of the dining room, a herd of horses living in freedom, 2 pigs making their beds in front of the window every evening, and sometimes a sheep walking by... Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no Wi-Fi and no TV. There is, however, a large table for playing games together and a lovely sofa for drinking a glass of wine together. Nice house on the Boarne, near the Frisian lakes

Our house is a small but very nice house. From the jetty, you can board the boat and sail towards the Frisian lakes. The house is very quiet and is equipped with every comfort. You can stay comfortably with 4 people at the Wjitteringswei. The beds are wonderful. They are now set up as a double bed but can also be set up as 4 single beds. Wi-Fi is of course also available. And above all, a fantastic view. Check-in from 3 p.m. and check-out until 12 p.m.

Guesthouse Út fan Hús

The Út fan hús apartment has two bedrooms with a double bed, a living room with sofa bed, a kitchen with fridge and bathroom with shower and toilet. The apartment has its own entrance. From the apartment, you have a wide view over the Frisian Greiden. It is located on the water, where you can swim and fish. You can also use 1 or 2 person canoes, a boat and bicycles for free. The city of Sneek is a 15-minute drive, Leeuwarden is a 30-minute drive.

The Carriage House near Leeuwarden

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south. Do you want to stay in a quiet environment where nature plays the main role then this apartment is for you. We, Ate and Gerda are owners since 2016 and have made our farm in Jelsum completely sustainable.

Het Twadde Hûske is a cosy, colourful apartment with a peaceful view over the meadows in Marum. Located on a quiet private road, you can enjoy complete privacy and a lovely terrace with lounge chairs. Next to our small natural campsite (only open during the summer holidays) is a beautiful holiday home surrounded by nature. Jurjen has made the cottage all by himself and made sure that you can completely relax. The kitchen is a real “Oldtimer” but also with oven. The wood-fired Hottub can be rented separately for €90,- for a weekend and €120,- for a midweek/week.
