Monthly Rentals in West Sound

Very serene, lush property in a great location on Orcas Island if you’re visiting Moran or Obstruction Pass state parks, and only a 15-20 minute drive to Eastsound. The unit is attached to the house but has its own separate entrance from the foyer. I liked the modern rustic feel it had. Unit is quiet and cozy, and the heat worked well (loved the heated floor in the bathroom). It was a nice place to crash after two full days of hiking. There were clear instructions in the unit about how to operate everything. I appreciated the mini fridge/freezer for storing groceries and igloo packs for my cooler. I got to meet Hannah and Pat upon arrival, and they were welcoming. There is also a nice little pier about 5 minutes’ drive in Olga, which made for a nice sunset spot. Enjoyed my time here; it was very tranquil.

It was lovely and peaceful. Very qiuet. Overlooking the greens. We were greeted when we arrived and given complete privacy afterward. I would certianly recommend, especially for golfers! We tried to find the outside receptical for out trash, but were unable to find it.

Weekend celebration for my wife’s birthday and Kate’s place was perfect. Situated close to a freshwater marsh, the bird sounds were incredible. East Sound not so far away and the hiking on turtleback was spectacular. Functional kitchen with everything needed. Gas fireplace in the kitchen was great for ambiance and warmth. My wife took a horse lesson with Kate and was happy to gain more experience. Would def stay again!

I always travel with my folding chair and enjoyed using it on the deck on this early spring visit. The bed linens and mattress made for a blissful sleep. Used the binoculars more than once and the toaster allowed me to enjoy my avocado toast for breakfast. No doubt about it, I'll be back.
