Lake house holiday rentals in West Virginia

This place was so beautiful & so charming. Perfect stay for out little family of 5. We found Suann to be very helpful & very friendly. You can tell she takes very good care of the property and her guest. All of her little touches made the hike even more welcoming. Our kiddos loved all of the little candy dishes places throughout the home. We enjoyed all of the trains that would come through, we.could watch them out the kitchen windows and even the front door! Neighborhood was safe and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for your stay while visiting Wesr Virginia. Thanks again Suann for such a wonderful place to stay!

We had an AMAZING stay at Becky’s River oasis. We were lucky to stay during a weekend when snow was on the ground and it was a beautiful & serene respite from the world. But it would be beautiful at any time of year! A group of friends gathered here and we spent hours lounging in the living room, laughing, and playing games. The house creates the perfect, comfortable vibe. You feel right at home. The wood burning stove was toasty and so cozy! Everything is comfy & clean. I couldn’t imagine a better place for our weekend trip. Becky is easily one of the nicest hosts I’ve event interacted with. She was kind, helpful, and so wonderful throughout the process. She’s amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We knew there were neighbors nearby but you could barely see other houses. The road was quiet and the area very peaceful. We enjoyed the walking trail along the lake as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Place is in a beautiful location. Host was helpful when needed. House is very cute and mostly clean with exceptions to dust and under furniture build up. Kitchen had all amenities listed. Parking was at first confusing based on needing to turn before the house to drive down hill to park behind but figured it out. Updates were nice to the home. My only too “complaints” were the lack of air flow in bedrooms and the outdated shower. Water pressure- amazing! Old shower not super practical. Overall good place though for sure! :)

Great house, super convenient to timberline for a great weekend of skiing. Hot tub was perfect end to the day. Tempur pedic bed in master was icing on the cake!! Will be back for sure.

It was a great cabin stay for getting away with the significant other on Valentine’s Day!!

My weekend stay at the lake side house was absolutely amazing! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the lake access with a dock. We spent our days fishing and managed to catch over 20 fish - it was such a fun and relaxing experience. The house itself was cozy and well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would definitely love to visit again sometime in the future. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Victoria's apartment is great! If I could give more than five I would be happy to rate it much higher. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped, beautiful and you can see that thought has been put into the little details. Really feels like home! And on top of all that, it's a five-minute walk from a beautiful state park. Victoria was amazing, available and determined to solve any problem we had.

We had a great stay at Forrest’s place. The house was as pictured, clean and free of clutter. We loved the view of the lake, which also had a short walkable trail around it. The house felt very private, although other homes were nearby. It was a short drive to Thomas/Davis downtown as well as hikes in Dolly sods. We would come back!!

We enjoyed our stay at Alison's place. Lovely location and great spot! Alison was super responsive and quick to answer questions even around the holidays. We would definitely stay again!

Could use handicap accessible where we was but we will be coming back soon it was nice

Beautiful place in a beautiful setting! Cheryl is a wonderful host who is flexible, quick to respond and her care is evident in all of the thoughtful touches. The townhouse was spotless and the river view is gorgeous! 10 out of 10!

Aaron was a great host. Extremely responsive via text / phone call for a few questions we had about the house. The house itself was great. Very old with rustic charm which we loved. We really enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and the foliage was gorgeous in the front yard. Photos were very accurate. The only negative I would say is that the king bedroom on the front of the house that overlooks the main road is very loud, which was a little disruptive for sleep/ naps for our toddler even with a sound machine on. Beds were very comfortable and none of the other guests noticed the street noise because of their room locations were farther away. Town was very sleepy which is what we expected! We enjoyed the playground in walking distance, dinner out, lunch out, and the nearby brewery was fun. Boys went to a golf course nearby that was much cheaper than GB. Overall, we had a very enjoyable trip!

It was exactly what we needed!! The ramp was ideal for one of my friends who is using a cane at the moment which made it easier for her to manage. The place was beautiful and we utilized the beautiful walk to the lake. Only have one suggestion….as the walk in shower was so perfect for my one friend…she suggested maybe adding a hand rail inside the shower for someone to hold onto. Other than that, we would love to come back if we are in the area again!!! Thank you

Whispering ridge was definitely a great stay if you are wanting to spend a weekend at the ski resorts. 5-10 min drive to Canaan was so ideal for us. The cabin was designed all cozy to make you feel at home and had everything you possibly needed!

This house is amazing! We felt like it was an honor to stay in such a gorgeous old house, so well loved and taken care of! We loved every little detail and the spaciousness allowed our family to just spread out. Will stay again!!

The house was absolutely perfect! it's a beautiful place with beautiful views. The layout was great for our big group of people and everything was so clean and comfortable. Check in was easy, host was very responsive through messages and information was clear and easy to follow. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. My whole group was really impressed. thanks

We booked Lindsay's wonderful house "Somewhere in the Woods" at the last minute seeking refuge from the chaos of inauguration weekend in DC. This was the perfect respite! Quiet, peaceful, and with all of the little touches of home you need! There were plenty of fresh towels, cozy beds (my daughter LOVED the bunk bed in her roo), a well appointed kitchen, a relaxing hot tub on the deck, and beautiful scenery out every single window. There was a snowstorm the weekend we were there and it only added to the ambience! Lindsay was proactive in communicating with us about the weather, offering us an early check-in and late check-out so we wouldn't have to worry about the weather. I spent most of the weekend tucked under a blanket, reading a book, while gazing out at the snow and enjoying the fireplace. We had a chill dinner in Berkeley Springs at a family friendly brewery Lindsay recommended before the weather hit, but will definitely be back to check out more of the area in the future!

Amazing place, clean and peaceful. Everything was perfect during our stay. The host are supportive and fast response for wherever you are looking for. We are planning to come back. I really recommend it.

If you are looking for a humble abode in the Charleston area, look no further. It truthfully brought peace. Quiet, private, and so enjoyable. The amenities were so therapeutic. I will be staying here again next time in the area, and you should too. The TV, soundbar, with the fireplace was phenomenal. I couldn’t have asked for a better place or host! Answered questions very quickly, were friendly and were very enjoyable.

This spotless and beautifully appointed home was so cozy and comfortable, with a wall of windows that invited you to soak in the sunshine and enjoy the views of nature (it's up a hill in a neighborhood with houses close by, but once you're inside, it feels very private). Deb is a great host and an excellent communicator, and her extra touches (plenty of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal packs, oil/vinegar, spices, etc.) were so thoughtful. Deb graciously accommodated our request to stay an extra night, as we weren't ready to leave this peaceful place, which speaks volumes about this wonderful and unique getaway.
