We are already planning a second visit to Julie and Dean’s place. The bach was so comfortable and clean and such an easy check in process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, or Havelock North, to others.

Quail Cottage is a very magical place, easy to locate on maps, great location, not too far from things to do and eateries - it was perfect for our holiday in the area. The drive to the cottage is lush and there’s also a monastery next door - just drive very slowly as there are very cute bunnies and birds that cross the road / driveway that leads up to Quail. The gardens, trees, tasteful artefacts around the cottage are all so lovely. The cottage itself has all the amenities one needs for a comfortable stay - fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and areas to just relax, unwind with reading material as well. We had a very comfortable stay at Heather and Lee’s.

Carol and Angus are such wonderful and welcoming hosts! Their property is exactly as described—well-maintained, thoughtfully equipped, and perfect for a peaceful stay. Carol kindly arranged the beds for our kids in advance, which was a lovely touch. The surroundings are beautiful, offering plenty of space to wander and explore. We had the joy of visiting their charming chicken farm, and their friendly dogs and cat made our stay even more special. Our son had a fantastic time playing with the dogs, who happily played along with him. Overall, we had an amazing stay and wholeheartedly recommend this property. If we visit Napier again, we would love to book this place once more. Thank you, Carol and Angus, for being such fantastic hosts!
