Monthly Rentals in Wheeler

Well appointed house local to the lovely hamlet of Hammondsport. Very cozy but enough room to spread out. Property is private; up a windy hill behind a warehouse. Seems a little shabby immediately in vicinity- but literally minutes from town, museums and lovely Lake Keuka. We chose this spot to be convenient to the various Lakes and Watkins Glen. Everything is super easy to drive to from this house. We were with our kids, but would be ideal for hitting local vineyards, breweries. The house was super tidy, with plenty of linens, towels, kitchen items and games. Such a charming farm house! My only criticism: the driveway may be a bit precarious in the winter months. We would suggest this home for sure.

Our group (4 adults) was staying overnight for an event the next day, and it worked very well for our needs. It is easy to get to and the town was quiet and had very little traffic. The living space was recently remodeled and was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was nice and allowed us to cook dinner and breakfast easily. I am a bit sensitive to fragrances, so the detergent or softener used on the bed linens bothered me at night, but no one else had any trouble with them, and everything was clean. Bathroom was well stocked and has a vent so it doesn't get too steamy. The only major issue I had is that I'm around 6'2" and the shower head was all the way down by my chin, and my head was almost entirely above the curtain. The tub is also quite a bit narrower than it looks in the pictures, with nothing to hold on to for balance. This makes for a really slow and awkward shower for anyone over 6 feet, but I managed. Host was great! Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We come to Hammondsport once or twice a year. This trip was just me and my husband for a quick get away. Teresa’s apartment was a gem from the moment we walked in to pretty candles glowing in the fireplace to a welcome basket filled with wine and treats on the bed. These touches are very special. The apartment was spotless and every room was super clean. We are very active during the day with biking, hiking, and kayaking, so it was awesome to come home to a cozy apartment. Loved the location ~ we walked just a few blocks to get breakfast and coffee at Vern's Bakery and an excellent dinner at The Park Inn. However, Teresa has a well equipped kitchen so if you don't feel like going out to eat, no worries, you can cook! It was great to see a Keurig with several choices of coffee...and creamer in the spotless refrigerator. Teresa and Antonia respond very quickly and keep in touch regularly. We will be back for sure. You have to come and try this place!

The little house nestled in the pines was lovely. It was clean and remodeled nicely. Kim was a great host. She made my little girls day by supplying a rake so she could jump in the leaves. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it! Would’ve loved to explore the area but with littles along we mostly stayed home and enjoyed our time away.
