The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. This beautiful Amish built cabin sits high above Jay Cooke State Park and surrounding areas. Stunning views of the park and beyond. Enjoy miles of private trails. We are a working farm so don't be surprised to see livestock in your front yard. No on-grid power or water but there is a solar generator and drinking water is supplied. The solar can run a CPAP and charge cell phones easily. There's an outdoor shower and a very clean outhouse to use. Come relax and enjoy yourselves!
