There were two rooms on the second floor, one room with a twin bed and one room with a tatami mat and four futons. The first floor has two dining rooms and a kitchen. There were also two toilets, which was convenient. The stairs were steep, so my 80-year-old parents moved the futon on the first floor and slept in the Japanese-style room. There are many tatami rooms and shoji, so you may want to be careful with dogs, prick cats that are easy to look out for. There were all the dishes and pots, so it was convenient to cut fruit and make miso soup. I happened to have a morning market and marche, which was a 1-minute walk away, so I enjoyed taking an early morning walk with my dog and drinking coffee. The communication with Imai-san was quick to contact me, the content was easy to understand, and I never met, but they politely told me how to check in and out, and I was able to stay with great peace of mind. Had an amazing stay here, in Echizenhama. Beautiful small neighborhood nestled in farm land just thirty minutes from Niigata City. We rented a car on recommendation of the host in that reaching the accommodation by public transport is a little difficult. That being said, having a car was so nice to be able to explore the surroundings. With countryside all around, and beaches and mountains close by, the location couldn’t be more perfect. The Airbnb itself operates as a cafe when not in use as an Airbnb, and in that, has so much seating. We enjoyed cooking and the kitchen was an absolute joy to use. Grocery stores were just 10 minute drive away and you could find everything you need there. We loved our time here, and guarantee would love to stay here again!
