Let the greenery soothe you during the day, and at night, under a sky full of stars, gently unwind your mind and body. Your accommodation fee includes all of the following. ・Open-air bath and sauna (please use by 10:00 pm) ・Sauna poncho & sauna hat ・ Towels (additional towels can also be provided) This is a stay unique to Yakushima, where you can enjoy the 'luxury of doing nothing' and 'time to unwind' in the midst of nature. It is right next to the river, so you can swim. There is also a deck by the river, so please use it for breakfast or coffee time. Relax in a place surrounded by nature and water, typical of Yakushima. On the opposite side of the river, diagonally across, is a neighbour's garden, so it is not a completely private space.We recommend bringing your own swimwear. This sauna stove is a Japanese-made dry sauna stove.You can enjoy a high-temperature sauna.

Entire cottage, Onuma Snapper Lock, private forest, glamping

Snapper Lock is a private cottage at the foot of Mt. Mocchomu in Onana, southern Yakushima. The nearest bus stop is a 6-minute walk. It is a quiet place surrounded by nature. The large living room of about 32 ㎡ can accommodate up to 5 people. (One is a sofa bed) The deck has an outdoor table and hammock, and a completely private forest spreads out. You can relax while taking a forest bath. Parking is also available for 2-3 vehicles. There is also a fire pit on the premises. The building was self-built by the owner. The building materials used are Japanese cedar and local cedar. The walls are plastered with lacquer, and the kitchen is made from recycled waste materials. We aim to be an inn that is friendly to both people and the environment, by not providing disposable amenities and keeping equipment to a minimum. There are insects and wild animals on Yakushima, so be careful to keep them out by closing the screens when you open the windows. Note: Several times a year, from 8 am to 9 am during the rainy season, large numbers of "feather ants" will appear on the island. They are attracted to lights, so we ask that you close the windows and turn off the lights in the room. Thank you for your understanding.

Holiday House Nagata/200m walk to the beach

Holiday House Nagata is located in the western part of Yakushima Island, close to Inaka beach, the best sea turtle spawning beach in Japan, and you can walk to Maehama beach from home.The sunset view from the beach is beautiful, and there are Yokogawa Gorge, Yakushima Lighthouse, and Seibu Forest Road nearby.Since it is far from the trailhead, it is highly recommended to rent a car.If you only come to Jomon Cedar climbing, Nagata is far away, so please look at the map to consider it.The May-July 2021 Sea Turtle Watch was canceled due to COVID-19.Please note that you will not be able to get off the beach after 8pm.If you go to the beach at 5:00 in the morning, it is recommended because it is possible to meet sea turtles.

This is a private-style guest house that has just been renovated in a modern style and opened in February 2024. It is close to popular hot springs such as JR Hotel, Onoma Onsen, and Kaichu Onsen, and it is also very convenient for shopping because it is about a 10-minute drive to one of the few large supermarkets in Yakushima. The guest house is equipped with 4 semi-double size beds, a dining table for 6 people, a washer and dryer, the latest appliances, kitchen utensils, and a BBQ set, so up to 6 people can stay comfortably. There is a large terrace on the first floor where you can have a BBQ, and a terrace on the second floor with a panoramic view of the ocean. There are very few houses around the house, so it is a great place to relax quietly.

Shiratani Base Yakushima is a compact and convenient accommodation along the road to Shiratani Unsui Gorge. Close to Miyanoura's A-Corp (supermarket) and restaurant district, and within walking distance of Miyanoura Port.It is also close to the Miyanoura River, making it convenient as a base for sightseeing and trekking in Yakushima. There is also a coin laundry just a 1-minute walk away, which is also recommended for long stays and stays before and after climbing. The toilet in the building is shared. A small bunk room can accommodate up to 3 people.

South Coast House is a traditional Japanese style home located on the very south coast of the island. It is very private, surrounded by nature with great sea and mountain views. Two natural outdoor hot spring Onsens - Harauchi and Yudomari are just a few minutes drive away. There is also some hiking, swimming and snorkelling spots close by. Miyanoura Port Convenience: Riverside Entire home

We chose our accommodation's location carefully to make it as convenient as possible. Yakushima is quite remote and doesn't have many transportation options. Yakushima is relatively large, covering about 100 kilometers. There are restaurants and supermarkets scattered around, but it can be challenging to find rental cars or taxis. →You can walk to popular restaurants in just 3 minutes, so you can have a great meal and easily return. Additionally, a supermarket is only a 7-minute walk away.
