“Howard's home is modern, clean, and in a quiet, beautiful location. We stayed the month of February and we had everything we needed and more. My husband caught a 24 inch long 7+ lb large mouth bass off the dock (yes, he did buy a Florida fishing license!). After much discussion about throwing it back we decided to eat it and it was delicious! He also caught several pan fish which he threw back. The canoes, the gas grill, and fireplace are great fringe benefits. Howard is giving his guests a great value. The nature coast of Florida is my favorite area of the state.”
Get away to historic Yankeetown! Enjoy river and nature views. Three bicycles and a canoe await your use. Bike through town to local restaurants or the to Gulf. The Withlacoochee (crooked river) winds peacefully by, 200 feet from the picture windows in the living room. Launch a boat or canoe from the ramp across the way. Relax with cocktails while grilling dinner on the deck. Enjoy nature in this very authentic Florida experience. COVID-19. WE ALLOW 48 HOURS BETWEEN GUESTS FOR XTRA SAFETY.
“We loved our stay in this unique home. The house is super clean, very spacious, uniquely furnished, and in a great location, with beautiful views of the river and close by river access. It’s in walking distance to restaurants, and a short drive to the coastal waters. Everything was as described and better. We highly recommend this place for a relaxing time surrounded by beautiful nature. Dave and Ursula quickly responded to every inquiry and were extremely accommodating when we informed them about our late arrival. Hope I will have the opportunity to come back.”
This spacious, clean, and newly renovated house is on a deep water canal off of the river located in bucolic Yankeetown, only minutes to the Gulf. In a quiet neighborhood with a big yard with plenty of parking. The water is pristine, the air is clean!
“I stayed at James's place with my husband over Christmas . We both had been working so much leading up to the holiday and were looking for a nice, quiet, peaceful and relaxing Christmas, just the two of us. We both love to fish but we don't own a boat, and we also enjoy kayaking. Basically, we love the water. After a lot of researching on the Airbnb app I found James's place. it was pretty much everything we were looking for, and I'm so happy we found this place. to begin with, the communication with the host was excellent, and welcoming! I appreciate that. We arrived very late due to our jobs which is why we really wanted a relaxing holiday. we are both in management in the restaurant business and the holidays are lucrative, yet EXHAUSTING! The house lights were kept on for us, and the home was a comfortable temperature inside, and that is a big deal to me. This is Florida and even Christmas can be warm! This home was so clean! And I would imagine that is not easy to do when you live in the nature coast, and have a fishing/ boating dock steps from your home. The dock is great, we caught Bass all day! We also explored with the kayaks, and I followed the advice of a past guest. we found the little nook of waterway on the left, past the no wake sign, and I believe the words were "enchanting "? or magical, either way, it is true! we cooked and enjoyed our meals both nights in the fully stocked kitchen, and slept like babies on the comfy beds. This is the perfect place for relaxing, exploration, and peace! Thank you for hosting us, James. Sincerely, Andrea and Matt.”
