OPEN 20 March 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies a quiet, traditional Japanese-style inn, where only one group is accommodated per day: B&B Morino Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner prepared by the owner are included (see photos for reference). ⚫︎ We can also provide meals for pescatarians and vegetarians. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the property is for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time as freely as if you were renting the entire building. This spacious area, measuring approximately 230 m², can accommodate up to eight people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also excellent access to Yoshinoyama, a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kinnosuke-sanji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roof while creating a comfortable space for you to enjoy.The tranquillity of the mountains, the gentle light that shines at night.Here, you can enjoy a moment to forget about everyday life. To enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, we recommend travelling by car. "A scenic place loved by the people of Manyo" Miyataki is a small hamlet in Yoshino, the beautiful home of Manyō, a World Heritage Site and said to be "Japan's top cherry blossom viewing spot". Miyataki was once home to the Emperor's secondary residence, "Yoshinomiya", and is also a place steeped in history where the "Jinshin Rebellion" took place. The Manyoshu contains many poems praising the scenic beauty of Miyataki. This area, where the clear Yoshino River flows, is known as one of the best river play spots in the Kansai region, and during the summer holidays, it is crowded with many visitors who come to play in the river. We decided to renovate a 100-year-old traditional house in Miyataki, where my grandparents lived for many years as umbrella and lantern craftsmen, and revive it as "Chouchin no Yado". Taking advantage of its location "right by the river where you can play", this is an inn that is easy to use even for large groups such as multiple households or friends. We hope you will use it as a base for sightseeing in Yoshino, enjoying the river, and having a BBQ, while feeling the breath of history and nature. There is a private sauna and a water bath (tarai) in the courtyard. If you love saunas, please come and visit.

This guesthouse is located in the area where the green water that boils from Mt. Yoshino creates a high waterfall and pours into the elephant stream. A singer of many leaves and an accompanying traveler, it is a town of many leaves that I fell in love with nostalgically singing. Why don't you spend a relaxing day in nature and life that hasn't changed since ancient times? Dinner and breakfast are not provided. Please feel free to use the kitchen, cooking utensils, refrigerator, etc., and please cook and bring your own. ※ You also need to bring seasonings. One room is 10,000 yen. Available from 2 people. It is not possible to stay with only one person. Additional 5,000 yen per person (However, 2,000 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for preschool children). Hi there,Welcome to the Nishimura Residence.I’m Yuta Sugimoto, the host. The Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya townhouse over 110 years old.In 2019, I renovated ‘Grandma’s house’, where I spent a lot of time as a child, and opened it as an inn.As the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, it has many inconveniences and is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　Instead, I believe there is no better place than Naramachi to soak up the ‘comfortable rusticity’ that permeates the town.In the hope of helping guests ‘reflect and recover’ in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the station area, we provide books in the room and a vegetarian breakfast.(Almost all of the books in the room are available for purchase.) 　Please spend this evening in the tranquil surroundings of the Nishimura residence and Naramachi, listening to the voice of your own heart.

Makomo House is located in a mountain village at an altitude of 500 m on the Oku-Mikawa Plateau in Nara The 100-year-old house is a private rental. Makomo-no-ta, which is said to be "the grass where God dwells", spreads around the inn, and you can relax in your room and feel the "Makomo breeze". You can enjoy the "Medicinal Herb Makomo Bath" at the Irori back table and the Goemon bath, where the well water is heated with firewood. There is no TV or wifi, so why not turn off your digital devices and turn on your own sensibilities?
